To quote the wiki definition; https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Clans For most players, the benefits of being in a clan are participating in clan battles - an organised seasonal game mode that rewards Steel, and the Naval Base - the clans developed structure which provides economic benefits like increased exp gains and credit discounts. https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Naval_Base As a new player, you will not be elligible for Clan Battles for some time as they are usually restricted to high tier ships, such as the current season which is only playable with tier 10s. Clan membership is restricted to a specific number of members, so you will not find a clan with hundreds of players in. But, you should be able to find a clan who will accept new players and help give advice and play together. You can browse the forum sections and look through the clans in Clan Recruitment or post your own advert in Looking For Clan https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/forum/507-clan-zone/

Once you have the option of collecting the 3 daily containers for reaching the daily exp goals you will have a constant source of coal. Choose the resource container 3 times a day will earn you 400 x 3 coal minimum, with the possibility of more. At that rate, the minimum you could expect would be to get Thunderer is 208 days. You should get more than the minimum 1200 coal per day most of the time and lots of daily missions, events and other game modes can award coal so you could probably expect to get it in 3-4 months. Its possible it will be taken down but earlier this week some changes to the armory were announced, including the removal of existing coal ships Jean Bart and Smolensk. So, Thunderer is safe for now.

No, I think that if WG checks this thread for any feedback then general feedback about balance decisions and the way the community feels development and balance time/resources is being spent is relevant in most threads regarding balance changes. Infact there is no better place to raise concerns about development than here, I would argue. Or do you think that the opinions and perceptions of supertesters should be beyond the scrutinty of the general playerbase? Because you certainly do not represent the opinions of the majority of players, I am sure. Your comments above have become quite a meme.

They will have dispersion like RU BBs where the close range is very good but the longer the range gets the worse it grows. Most vertical dispersion values grow roughly parallel to each other, but RU BBs have a severe curve that is better than all other BBs up to around 11km and then becomes increasingly worse. These cruisers will probably have dispersion better than standard cruiser dispersion is atm, and then worse beyond a certain distance.

Most interesting, sure, provides the most data and the most relativistic result. But not exclusively. A ships potential in skilled hands should also be a consideration as ships that overperform in the right hands create a damaging performance gap relative to that average that dictates balance, such as was the case with RTS CVs. It should not be acceptable if the top 10% of players could do 300% better on average than the average player, even if the average player is acceptable. In this respect Smolensk and Kremlin are not "fine". Not only that, but the average players relative mean performance may not always indicate the problems relative median performance might.

We will both be wrong and they'll be fictional 2x 180mms

It could turn out to not even be an МЛК design, they were the end of a long period of consideration for small 130/152mm cruisers. So, could really be either. We will find out if they ever include her in a dev blog, but based on the length of the gun I suspect them of being 130s. Does the calibre need to match? Smolensk matches nothing else in the russian CL line, Atlanta sits at tier 7 with numerous 127mm guns. Ochakov would need some serious rate of fire to make 8x 130mm guns work though, but even if they were 152s having 8 of them is much less than the 12 of Chapa and Kutuzov and even the tier 7s like Budyonny and Lazo. However, considering how much Smolensk differs from the МЛК-8-130 I would not base a comparison on the above model to a diagram based on a ladder. There are some more significant differences, like the substantially different superstructure. We will find out when they post the blog, eventually?
-
Wait until the Ochakov gets announced here. https://clips.twitch.tv/CuriousCharmingTruffleCurseLit (3 seconds into the clip, tier 10 CL Nevsky is shown at the start) Tier 8 smolensk with 4x2 130guns, looks like МЛК-8-130.

...what? With DFAA active its DPS is 736.5, exceeding minotaurs dps, with flak that is identical. What Minotaur has is 900m extra range, other than that a Halland with DFAA active is totally superior. The other difference is that the DD priority sector is a 5% instant damage boost and 35% dps increases, whereas Mino would get 3.5% instant and 50% dps increase. Obviously Mino benefits more from this Halland and Smaland are easily some of the best AA DDs in the game, most other DDs even with DFAA active cannot beat Hallands regular AA. And, these European DFAA consumables last 40 seconds, longer than the 30s duration of every other DD.

The post mentions good AP penetration but makes no mention of improved angles. If the fuse and angles are like stalingrad then the AP angles are not as good as US cruisers (which start at 60 and guaranteed at 67.5, whereas stalin starts at 55 and guarantees at 65). 0.022s fuse like Stalin is possible.

@MrConway @Crysantos @Tanatoy Could I redirect your attention once more to this request that Marceau (the "AA destroyer") model be updated with the more modern French AA guns she probably would have had rather than the ones she has now, as it makes little sense that the AA destroyer would not have, for example, the ACAD AA mounts present on other high tier French ships and would just be fitted with 40mm bofors.
-
Predictable change. Although I imagined you would nerf the ballistics more and leave the rate of fire unchanged. Tuning half the line in the same way seems a bit speculative but ok. Losing that 1km of AA range is quite a shame for DDs that could have good AA, at least they still have that flak though and still, 500 total dps is very high. This Smaland engine boost sounds interesting, although a 30% increase is one of the most arcadey things you could add. It would certainly make the ship interesting combined with its radar. Certainly, the premium ship of the two has a strong toolbox now. Good. The ship should not be designed to succeed in close quarters. For a ship with guns such as these it makes sense that its strengths are its guns and its potential is not wasted elsewhere. I do wonder what sort of data and analysis is required to decide that changing a ships concealment by 200 meters is the correct decision. But, I think the impact is minimal. I look forward to Cheshire, she has had a lot of balancing attention, so I hope she is a good ship when she finally does arrive. What an unfortunate change. Ouch... did someone forget she is tier 8 and not tier 7? Her distinct features seem to include a few drawbacks already, she certainly didn't appear to be the offensive powerhouse that required such a huge hit to survivability.
-
So you are confirming that UU are going to cost research points and people will have to reset whole ship lines to obtain them?
-
I really like the aesthetic of these ships. I wonder upon what they are based. I will be curious to see their armor schemes, more importantly.

Or Shinano, Malta, Europa.

Pleased to see the resources needed for some of the upcoming ships revealed, although we already knew Hayate. The removal of Smolensk seems rather suspect. JB I could understand in the same vein as Missouri, Kron and Musashi, rotating ships out of availability, JB is the oldest other than Salem (which seems like it will never leave the armory) so that makes sense. But, Smolensk? You are removing a problematic ship from availability after a short 5 month period. I hope this does not mean you are not going to change the ship itself. The removal of the steel ships seems like a bad decision, to me. The players who already bought them, especially who bought them recently, are not going to be generally pleased at this decision (as is apparent above) with the lack of compensation. Regardless of whether the steel purchase has allowed them some "early access" to the ship, that does not compensate for the fact that those ships were bought over ships that are available for exclusively steel. Not only that, but motives seems a bit strange. Flint, Black and Neutrashimy are not in high demand? All of these ships are considered powerful in their respective tiers and their low representation probably stems from the fact they are not the highest priority steel ships but no less desirable. Instead, I notice that you are removing every steel ship that is not tier 10, the only remaining steel ships will be Stalin, Bourg, Somers and Yashima. This seems more like an act to consolidate steel as a resource only used for tier 10 premiums. Coincidence perhaps, there will still be coal and fxp tier 10s aswell. Not sure you're being entirely transparent in this case.

So long, improved AP angles
-
The missions reward steel for wins in their stated league or higher. So, your wins in Gale will progress both your Gale and Squall missions.
-
Gearings maneuverability should really be superior to Fletchers, but it would be nice if at least her dimensions were correct. She is most definitely too wide as she should have the same beam as the Allen M Sumner class, which of course is Yueyang.

Public Test only show Co-op Battle [PT 0.9.1R2]
Benser33 replied to edsviken's question in Q&A Section
Could be related to changes to the service record since that unlocks modes beyond co-op. If checking the service record and trying to simply relog does not reveal anything you might need to post this under the bug report section of the PTS forum. https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/forum/485-public-test/ -
Don't overdo it with the YY buffs, it might almost become relevant again.

Huanghe, Haida and Perth are the only 3. https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Consumables#Crawling_Smoke_Generator

Will italian cruiser permanent camo be available again?
Benser33 replied to LovelyBerta's question in Q&A Section
I agree, they are easily some of the most attractive camos in the game.
