I have made a mistake with this, it is indeed a nerf. I thought the change was 50 to 55, but its the other way around.
-
This is a 5° increase to the range at which ricochets are impossible, so a buff to the AP ricochet angles. Where it was possible for ricochets to start occuring at 50° you must now be angled at 55°.** Guaranteed ricochets are still 65°. **The change is a nerf from 55 to 50, I misread.

I've heard on a stream that they won't be back until they are fixed, and they are not making any time to fix them, so currently; never.

Something about CC and dev blog changes on reddit given to CCs

After months of wondering why WG still bothers to give us WIP information when 90% of the response is stupid memes and crybabies, they finally have stopped bothering. -
Regardless of whether you TA or not, the time between when you release the torps and when they arm is the same. The distance is not the same, but the time it takes them to cross that distance is, since the time is what defines that distance in combination with their speed (hence why increasing the torp speed increases the arming range). It is impossible to speed up a torp so that it hits a target faster than its arming time, otherwise it is just a dud. The extra 5knts can still provide slow torps with enough relative speed to hit certain targets, US 35knt torps can be very slow compared to some ships. Also dropping from slightly further away with no negative impact on the enemies reaction time can mean less AA damage, which could make the difference between dropping 1 extra torp. The downside is for Hakuryu, who is able to stealth drop a set of torpedos unless they have TA which shortens the torpedo range to less than their torpedo bombers best possible concealment.

It is your own opinion and perceptions of tier 10 that make it not fun for you. You have a lot of opinions based on anecdotal evidence which are in conflict with the reality of the tier, mostly due to your lack of experience. It is apparent that you struggle at high tier. This is probably due to the onus of knowledge put upon a player in order to perform well at tier 9-10, it has some of the widest variety of ships with some ship features being almost totally unique to their tier and ships having the widest variety of consumables with the highest available performance, as well as facing enemies who mostly have commanders with full and optimised captain builds, optimised, special and unique upgrades, legendary commanders and thousands of games experience in various high tier game modes. Good players at high tier know the gun, torp and concealment ranges of all the ships at this tier and know the positioning and potential tactics of each map with different team compositions as well as the tools present on the enemy team and their availability such as radar range and cooldown, smoke duration and cooldown, hydro ranges, damage control usage, reload booster usage, etc. I think it is unlikely you possess all of these qualities with less than 300 games at tier 8-10. But you argue with the players who do and even believe you can claim you are better than they are, statistically.

Maybe because the Russian developers develop new features in Russian and then translate it into other languages once it is complete so they only have to translate it once? -
Buffalo penetrates 350mm at 6km and 180 at 15km. 350 is not enough to citadel any T10 BB and 180 cannot penetrate any BB in the game through the armor belt. Buffalo certainly cannot citadel BBs at max range without some exceptional circumstances.
-
Donskoi could only ever pen 29mm without IFHE, this was the case for all 180mm guns. Now, it can pen 30mm without IFHE which is nice because it can pen all cruiser plating except Alaska/PRs 36/38mm deck and Moskva/Stalins 50mm plating without IFHE. It only requires IFHE to pen the 32mm plating found on t8-10 BBs. Penetration is calculated as gun calibre divided by 6 then rounded (numbers ending 0.1 to 0.4 round down, 0.5 to 0.9 round up). Tier 8-10 guns of 152-155mm calibre divide by 5 instead. German BB main guns, German cruiser main guns, German 105/128/150mm secondaries, British BB main guns, British 234mm CA guns all divide by 4 instead. Japanese 100mm Type 98s divide by 3.33 instead. If you want to add IFHE you just multiply the result by 1.25 but do not do any rounding to this result. You can penetrate 30mm (180/6) of armor and retain Donskois good 13% base fire chance for a potential maximum of 16% fire chance (+1% from signal flags, +2% from DE skill) if you choose not to take IFHE. You can penetrate 37mm ((180/6)*1.25) of armor but the fire chance will drop to 6.5% for a potential maximum of 9.5% fire chance if you take IFHE.

Why is improved engines a highly recommended skill on CV's?
Benser33 replied to AuxiliusM's question in Q&A Section
The arming time is unaffected by the skill. The arming distance the torps will travel over that time is increased due to the increased speed, but they will still arm (for example Midway) 5.5 seconds after being dropped so the targets reaction time is 5.5 seconds whether you have TA or not. Particularly because the torpedo detection range of every torp is greater than its arming distance. Infact, being able to drop torpedos that allow the same reaction time but from further away means you can avoid more AA damage or potentially drop more torpedos in the case where a plane might die before dropping its torp due to proximity to the targets AA. The +5 knots does also enable some torpedos to actually hit a target as relative speed can be a factor, and torpedos like the 35knt torpedos on Midway are slower than a number of cruisers and most destroyers, making them trivial to avoid. But the 20% reduction in range, which is not even worth considering on many CVs as they drop as close as possible, does make a difference between Hakuryu being able to stealth drop one set of torps. But, Hakuryu is the one ship that can try this and only with a 600m stealth buffer. -
I have no issues with the support site and asking a handful of people from various parts of europe no one else had any issues, similar to what you descibe or otherwise, so I wondered if perhaps it was a separte issue with a similar root cause (such as a DNS issue that could cause the website to respond poorly or slowly, and cause a login attempt to time out).

Benser33 replied to AuxiliusM's question in Q&A Section
You can take concealment expert if you prefer, particularly on IJN CVs who have torpedo bombers with a base 7.5km concealment can get very low concealment, such as on Kaga, who can also take concealment module as she has enough planes that she does not need flight control modification. But most CVs play trying to deal as much damage as possible as quickly as they can, so more speed is a desirable stat, and making a skill provide a substantial amount of plane speed would become problematically strong. -
Assuming the error message could be even remotely correct, see if you can sign out of the launcher and back in again. If that doesn't work, try change to a new password. https://eu.wargaming.net/id/signin/ And then sign out of the launcher and the website and sign back in. If you can rule out that it's definitely not authentication based (as the error suggests), you can confirmed you don't have issues with your server connection with these instructions but I don't think the support connection is related. https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/article/10252/

The refund policy is stated where you claim the refund. https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/article/10213/ For example, regarding ships such as Smolensk available exclusively from the Armory. You can tell whether a ship is a "Premium" or a "Special" ship in port. A Premium ship, like this example of Exeter states the ship is a premium under its passive peculiarities. It has a gold icon with a gold wreath. A Special ship, like the below Smolensk example, only refers to the ship as a ship. It has a silver icon with a gold wreath. A standard ship with Elite status is presented in a similar way. It has a silver icon with a silver wreath.

The rockets do not just strike, they carpet a long area. You will probably not be able to hit a target with all of the rockets.
-
While you are absolutely mistaken about the 152s penetrating 32mm in the past you are correct about the new penetration because I forgot to round the base penetration value down before multiplying it... 152/5 =30.4, rounded down to 30, *1.25 = 37.5 Worcester can penetrate every US BB up to tier 7 plus North Carolina. I will correct my above post.
-
What error do you get when logging in? You seem to have been able to log in to the forum. If you have issues with the support site as well it might indicate a different issue like with DNS perhaps.
-
Current Rules 152mm / 6 = 25.33mm which rounds down to 25mm, so you shatter on 25mm but penetrate 24mm or lower. With IFHE 25mm * 1.3 = 32.5mm which is then not rounded down. As per the rules you can penetrate armor thinner than the result, but 32mm is less than 32.5mm. You can easily confirm this ingame since the HE penetration value is presented under the artillery stats. Knowing that 152mm guns with IFHE can penetrate the 32mm armor threshold should be common knowledge.
-
But that is also wrong since pre-IFHE rework Worcester has 32mm of pen and 12% fire chance. Non IFHE Worcester will have 30mm of pen and 15% fire chance so you're losing the penetration necessary to damage the 32mm plates of tier 8-10 BBs and gaining 3% fire chance compared to pre-rework.

Credit to whoever created the Hayate camo, it really looks great. -
If I understood correctly, his problem is people who normally play randoms playing coop to yolo into an enemy and get 3 torp hit or whatever just to complete a mission rather than playing more rationally, lowering the quality of coop games for the regular coop playerbase.
-
Your penetration without IFHE increases from 24mm to 30mm, enabling you to pen everything you used to pen with IFHE except for the 32mm plating found on the bow/stern/decks of most t8-10 BBs. Your fire chance will have increased from the current 12% (12% base + 1% flags + 2% DE - 3% IFHE) to 15%. With IFHE your penetration has increased from 32mm IFHE pen of old to the new 37mm of penetration gained by increasing the 30mm base penetration above by 25%. This new 37mm pen value allows you to penetrate everything you used to pen with 32mm previously but now also the decks of all US BBs up to tier 7, plus T8 BB North Carolina. Your fire chance with IFHE however will drop from the previous 12% above to 9% ((12% / 2 IFHE ) + 1% flags + 2% DE). So your options are to pen 30mm with 15% fire chance or to pen 37mm with 9% fire chance.

Yes, but the article says. So either it will be something uninspiring like DFAA or engine boost or something more interesting.
-
Those are some slow planes... But, the overall concept is interesting. I would be interested in trying this out just to see how it differs from existing CV play and whether it might feel different enough from existing CVs who can often feel more or less the same. At the very least it's nice to see you coming up with some changes to CV parameters that adds more variety. What kind of engine boost is it, +8% or +15% or what? 49% fire chance on the HE and 13,200 AP shell damage and 850m/s, these shells are almost entirely better than Conqs... even the reload, range and dispersion of the guns is better. Only downside is the 6 barrels. It's fast and handles like Gascogne. It even has a catapult. The 25mm plating might be an issue at times though but... I must admit, I would have liked to have seen a viable secondary spec premium BB rather than a glass cannon. ...go on... Special consumables on an Amagi for IJN? Hmmm. I can't imagine what.

But then how would people who only play coop do any missions or even earn credits?
