I'm not concerned with whatever is visible from mods, I am referring to ships that exist in test server client files. Leone is older still than Slava but I would still consider it a ship that they have created and developed with the intention of releasing it.
-
No new premium at this tier except the Moskva. Only upcoming tier 9-10 premium ships for russia are the Zayra Svobody, the premium Soyuz, and Slava, the premium Kremlin. But both are far from release.
-
In addition to the existing tier 5 premium cruisers Murmansk and Krasny Krym Tier 5 standard Kirov will become a premium ship. She is equipped with 3x3 180mm guns. Tier 5 standard Kotovsky will be the ship that takes the place of Kirov. Tier 5 premium Viroshilov is a copy of Kirov and exists at the moment as a test for what will be changed on Kirov when she becomes premium. This ship is not being added to the game. Tier 5 premium Mikoyan will be a new premium ship. She is equipped with 3x2 180mm guns.

It's in the research buerea for 19200 RPs...

What about players that already own Moskva, what compensation do they get? Or should I just sell it for 50% of the credits... Again, what about players that already own the permacamo?

It is not hard to see that this is not true. https://stats.wotapi.ru/stats/wows/eu/EU

It is possible a tier 6 SS special mode is coming to the live servers soon, but there will be no notable information available that is not publicly announced on the website or devblog forum.

You reckon the developers, who only just last year announced they would phase out DX9 and 32 bit architecture compatibility are going to spend their time implenting a feature that only works for people with Nvidia 20 series GPUs? That is less than 10% of the population of Steam, and WOWS has a generally lower hardware standard than Steam as a whole. Expect them to try and add older performance enhancing features that affect a much broader percentage of players before features like this.

Whenever you leave or are kicked from a clan you must wait 3 days before you can join another, which was put in place to prevent players from skipping between clans during clan battle seasons.

Yes, it is. The lead ship of its class, Z35.

Hosho DB speed = 98knts Midway DB speed = 131knts Audacious DB speed = 142knts Hakuryu DB speed = 152knts Ricthofen DB speed = 174knts These planes will be able to avoid a lot of damage with their speed, so it seems natural their hp is lower.

Your complaint seems, at best, trivial and wholly unsportsmanlike. Even good players have to grind credits to get the numerous t10s, this only helps that situation. And both bad players and new players will see some increase in performance by having constant access to the same tier of consumables as everyone else that they might not otherwise afford or maybe really see the benefits of. WG continues to add things that cost credits in order to drain what was once a large pool of standing credits that most veteran players had, ending their need to grind more. As new costs increase it is not unreasonable of them to reduce players "running costs" and instead offer opportunities to invest what they earn instead of losing it as they earn it.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2
Benser33 replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
...ridiculous. Almost an entire seasons RP for a single lego mod? What possesses you to assign such a cost? New players who must now grind a number of tier 10s to even begin using this feature can then only earn one lego mod each season or do multiple resets of the lines that they just gained in order to get these modules? Players with limited tier 10s who do not feel like they can fully contribute to clan wars and such are being expected to now do 2-3x the effort for the sake of a single alternative module? Truely, whoever decided that this is an appropriate value is an inhumane and morally-lacking individual.- 171 replies

Ah yes, I see. Looking at them in detail I didn't realise Eugens icebreaker doesn't extend all the way to the tip of the bow. So Tallinn actually has the superior 40mm bow of Hipper that extends to the prow and the superior 40mm turtleback of Eugen... But, lacking the 27mm plating over the bow and casemate is some sort of disadvantage and I'd argue the worse torps, hydro and AA are included. Whether that really justifies the Tallinns firepower is another matter.

Yes, thank you. It is difficult to comment on the AP rockets with no AP stats like fuse arming time or threshold or ricochet angles. But the damage themselves does not seem especially high unless they can consistently citadel their targets. They will be quite poor to use against DDs with the lack of projectiles and the inability to citadel. I imagine they will be comparable to 203mm AP and be designed to primarily threaten cruisers, but wont have the calibre or fuses to attack destroyers effectively or the penetration to seriously threaten BBs (particularly with no fire chance). The torpedos are also extreme, they compete with IJN torpedos in terms of damage from individual torpedos while also dropping more of them at higher tiers. But, the speed and arming distance are absolutely terrible. 738 meters? That's 11.35s reaction time, if you take TA to boost the speed to 30knts is 885 meters... But, what is the flood chance? The dive bombers look underwhelming. I am glad the tier 8 and 10 at least drop 3 bombs, the 2 drop from GZ are utterly frustrating. But what sort of dispersion will we see, the circular one of GZ or a more typical ellipse? Previous post confirmed theyd have a long ellipse. The tier 10 appears to essentially have the same bombers as GZ does, but with 3 per attack instead of 2. None of these 3 options appears suitable for attacking DDs, adding a CV line that is ineffective against DDs is a good idea. The planes themselves are all quite fast, the t10 planes all have roughly the same speed as Midway rocket planes. Will they come with the 10s speed boost consumable available to GZ? The HP by comparison is low but that seems reasonable considering the speed, they will avoid a significant amount of AA with their velocity. But perhaps Ricthofen isn't totally defenseless against DDs, I can't help but notice the Tier 10 secondary range is 7.2km, maximum secondary range of 10.9km and concealment of 11km...

Well Hipper still has better HE pen and better armor beause the only 27mm armor tallinn inherited from hipper was the deck.
-
35knts
-
Fine, they are not objectively superior. They are just the better overall choice because hardly anyone would willingly choose to do less damage with more rng.
-
The citadel itself can ricochet the AP, the deck, casemate, bow and stern cannot. The overmatching of Shikishimas 510mm guns is 35mm which is effectively the same as Yamatos 32mm overmatch as very few plates exist between 33-35mm.

You've not understood what I said. Obviously the 30mm of penetration can make the difference. The point is, when will you actually see that and recognise it? You are never going to fire the 420s and get a penetration and know that you got it because of the extra mm of penetration relative to the 406s. Because you need to hit armor that is between 510 and 540mm thick at 15km for the choice of guns to have made any difference. But you are not calculating that, no one is. So while you are probably getting some extra penetrations from the 420s, how many are you really getting? How many of your shells are penetrating armor that you would have failed to penetrate if you had 5.6% less penetration? I imagine it is something like 1%, unless you are spending a significant amount of time shooting at BBs at very long ranges. Many more shells will fail due to ricochets or misses than shatters and those shatters that do occur would need to have failed by less than 1/10th of their penetration at most. It is not about getting citadels vs not being able to get them, it's about how often it actually makes that difference. Its entirely possible you could play 100 GK games and you never once hit a citadel that was just within the armor penetration difference that you benefited from your 420s because the difference is just not big enough.

Nice to see a healthy economic change being made. This certainly helps lessen the burden on newer players to compete with seal clubbers and will have noticable impact on the credits being earned during the grinding of what are now numerous ship lines available ingame.

ST - "Soviet cruisers" event, 16th season of Ranked battles, and other news.

New port looks nice. -
Yes but guns do not rely on penetration alone and more penetration can actually lead to a larger % of shots overpenetrating targets. Not that the 420s actually gain that much penetration compared to the 406s unless you are fighting at max range, since the 420s don't really have increased penetration, they actually have reduced loss of penetration over distance, since the penetration is only 1% worse at point blank and 9% worse at max range. Shooting at something 15km away you've gained a massive 6% penetration, an amount so inconsequential (30mm) that you cannot realistically take advantage of it. Unless you have the mental capacity of a sci-fi flight computer and can recall and calculate the armor thickness of any angled enemy in the exact instance you are going to fire without a delay that renders the calculation inaccurate it is unlikely you will ever come across a scenario where you feel confident your increased penetration has secured you a penetrating hit that would have otherwise shattered. And even if you could, dispersion will likely render your attempt to calculate the probability of penetration irrelevant. The benefits of this "increased penetration" are repeatedly being exagerated. However, 3s faster reload is a guaranteed and definite 10% reduction in reload time, it does not depend on range or angle. There is no downside to faster reload. It can enable you to take shots you might otherwise miss due to cover, reduces the time opponents can take to angle in reaction to you, increases the frequency of shots which results in more consistent damage as individual shells that ricochet or miss are a smaller % of your total damage output over time, despite the reduced shell damage produces more total damage potential, and despite the lower penetration the increased opportunities to fire can actually result in more damage. The benefits of the 420s are not enough to counteract the drawbacks by comparison. The 420s are not strong enough and they probably never will be, the 406s are the superior gun. Unless we someday see a GK hull split like Kremlim/Slava and Conqueror/Thunderer that puts the 420s on a survivability based ranged battleship the 420s will always be inferior to the 406s, because to make them better than the 406s would mean that GK, a ship primarily designed with advantages in close quarters and secondary ranges, also somehow has a gunset competitive with something like Monty. So not only are the 420s not better than the 406s, for balance reasons, they should not be. But at least the Bismarck fanbois who have made their way to GK while not understanding penetration at all get better penetration, more fire chance and longer thinking time when they use the bigger, and so obviously superior, 42cm guns.
