What to research to unlock submarines in 0.9.4?
Benser33 replied to Subtle_Shift_In_Emphasis's question in Q&A Section
There are tier 4s as well. -
But can it do that consistently?

Despite Knyaz Suvurov being a ridiculously overpowered low tier BB it would be unfortunate for it to have a weakness against CVs. But frankly, the reality is that everything at this tier is weak against CVs and even with fictionally enhanced AA suites on the ships that did not receive such refits in the real world. Somehow, Knyaz Suvurov comes out better than most even in terms of AA despite not having a single gun on its stock hull. The B hull adds 8x 75mm Canets for a total 45.5 AA dps with 3km range, for what that is worth when a single aircraft at tier 4 has 1,100 - 1,600 hp. Relatively, KS has quite a generous AA suite for a tier 3 BB. If you feel it is necessary you can stick with other players to share what little AA exists at this tier.

Account level is really more of a tutorial so that new players don't get overwhelmed with features right from the start. The game already has quite a lot to learn about and the account level only introduces you to components of the port and game modes. Extending the period that players have gated features, either by gating more content or making it take longer to reach 15, is also not necessarily helpful. Players who join the game because they already have friends that play ccan usually be taught what they need much more quickly than a solo players learns on their own and can reach a tier 10 in less than 300 battles. But account level is not a matchmaking mechanic, even if it could be. Random battles are random, other than new players under protected matchmaking there is no form of skill or experience based matchmaking. Skill based matchmaking does not work and experience is no metric for matchmaking, we can find hundreds of example of players with 15-30k games who still perform well below average, and good players can just make new accounts to club new players. The issue of newer players being clubbed by veterans needs a different solution than just letting them avoiding playing against veterans, new players need exposure to veteran players to see that there is more to learn, playstyles and concepts that they can adopt to succeed beyond the co-op strategy of just suiciding in and getting a torpedo kill.

No one, hence why it's free.

I heard we are getting a new dockyard event so I guess Agir is the reward.
-
Yes, removed consumables should be compensated at their full value, not their sale value.
-
22500 each.
-
Even if you could buy them you cannot use them right now. People that own the existing UU cannot mount them. They may return with the UU update.

You didn't round it. 152/5 = 30.4 The 30.4 is rounded down to 30 30*1.25 = 37.5 This is displayed as 37mm ingame. And 37.5 < 38 and so shatters.
-
152s with IFHE only pen 37mm, so no they won't.

Yamato, like many ships with an aircraft catapult, can choose which type of catapult aircraft it has equipped. But, they share the same consumable slot, so you must choose. Simply click the consumable slot to choose alternatives, including the "premium" version of a consumable which has reduced cooldown but costs 22.5k credits (this price is the same regardless of tier). (I will mention that with next patch the "premium" versions of these consumables will be made free and the current "free" consumables are being removed.) Lots of ships have this sort of option, many ships with a catapult can choose between fighters and spotters (though not all) and another common one you'll find is cruisers who can choose between Hydroacoustic Search or Defensive AA Fire. The wiki as well as tools like https://wowsft.com/ have data on consumables available to each ship.

Californias guns were 34.2s in her first iteration. Then her sigma was buffed by 0.1 and her range was also extended by 3km Her reload was later buffed from 34.2s to 30s That change has now been reverted, so pressumably she still requires a buff as she did in her third iteration when she subsequently received the reload buff. But, pressumably 4.2s reload buff was too strong. I guess we can anticipate another buff of a different kind later.
-
I don't understand your point. I own every t7 premium. If California is the only t7 released and then I obtain this container then the only possible tier 7 premium ship that it can drop will be California. Therefore, I probably wouldn't need to buy the ship.
-
No, the container is a random tier 7 premium. https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/kots-collection/

Germans get improved penetration instead.

It's in the shop right now.

I don't understand why you did not simply change her aiming angles and armor to suit the ship. You even identified these as the restraining issues, yet you choose to giver her a homogenised identity rather than aim to make her something special. It makes no sense to me that a high tier german super cruiser would not have the necessary armor, the tier 8 standard heavy cruiser almost has sufficient armor to do so, you could easily have given her an armor scheme similar to that of german BBs with a non overmatchable waterline plate that full encompassed her bow and increased her rear turret angles, it's not like the model doesn't allow for it. Seems a bit much... Nice to see this change, hope the guns feel like 510s again.

Special ships are premiums that don't get increased income. All tier 10 premiums like Somers, Stalin and Bourg are special ships.

The speed of these torps will simply make them unusable against anything that is moving, and any DD and most cruisers will not struggle to reach half or even full speed and engage full rudder lock in the combined reaction time of spotting the torpedo planes and the torpedos own arming time. Fabricating a self cross drop also seems unviable, even if you could drop 3 sets of torps that theoretically arrive at the same place at the same time the target still has 45/30/15s to react to each set, which is just utterly trivial for anything but the largest ships when stationary. Slow torps are simply unusable, I dont believe there is any way to take advantage of this particular trait in a way that is beneficial to the player, you may as well not give the german CVs torpedo bombers at all.

Yes.

You'll receive 200% of the dubloon value in direct currency with the coupon, so just check how much you would spend and how many dubloons that is worth, then double that. Check the monetary value of what you want to buy. Find the "Buy any amount of dubloons" from the dubloons tab. Find an amount of dubloons that is close to what you would pay for. This means that paying for Saipan at ~£32 is worth between 11,000 and 11,500 dubloons. You will receive 200% of the dubloon value so approximately 22,000 dubloons for £32.

If you can correctly name each post with the relevant ships being changed instead of titling every post "Changes to Test Ships" and it has some sort of useable search function; great.
-
Ok. You are someone who does not own the permacamo. You are not getting the 5k Dubloons. Now which will you pick?
-
Since my post on the first page of this thread I've been thinking and discussing this with people. I think it is perfectly reasonable that if WG choose to shift and change some of the ships that exist in the game that they don't have to give out substantial amounts of resources worth of ships freely. To that end, as a result of the changes to the current Russian cruiser line you can end up with one of two tier 10 ships, since that is what all of us have actually commited resources to so far; special Moskva or Nevsky. People are complaining they won't get compensation in credits, exp or dubloons for Moskva or her camo and that they won't receive Nevsky. Well decide yourselves, would you rather get a free Nevsky that costs ~240k exp and 20m credits plus upgrades, or a free Moskva that costs probably ~250k coal? Any of you who would rather have the Nevsky are trading the two most common and most consistently available resources in the game (in amounts that can be, under optimal circumstances, earned in 15-20 games) for ~4-6months worth of Coal. That is what you want? Play 2 games with Donskoi a day with some good camo over 2 weeks and you'll have Nevsky. If you have already bought Moskva, sell her for half, you will get the special Moskva back for free. Asking for a free standard ship in addition to a free special ship is just unreasonable from us as a community. We are losing nothing here. As for the Type 20 Permacamo. The whole "early access is what you paid for and doesnt need compensation" thing is all good for like coal and steel ships, because those are entire ships and they cost "free" resources. For a camo that costs dubloons I am not sure it is an acceptable policy. 5k is a lot of dubloons for a camo and now that camo is "free", perhaps owners of the permacamo should at least receive their dubloons back to use on another permacamo that actually requires paying for or at least an amount of coal equal to say 20% of Moskvas value?
