Wow, I really missed a lot when looking at Mysore...

Good spot, that one less turret makes a considerable difference. I'm not sure I really understand why she has 16mm though, she really shouldn't need it and Fiji has 13mm.

The damage bonus of DFAA is still enough to turn flak damage into instant kills on any plane that connects with them instead of just dealing 60-90% hp damage. Also, Vermonts AA DPS is the highest in the game, even if the range limits it to mostly self defense.

    Richthoven sucks at DD hunt

Pareval drops 3 with the top TBs, only the stock TBs drop 2.

Hizen looks interesting, although it is clear that this threatening salvo is tempered by 28knt speed and range. She has an AP shell better than Amagis but worse than Izumos. I am curious about her armor scheme, will she have the resistant deck of Musashi and Izumo? Z44 as a tier 9... this is just the same as Z35 and makes just as little sense as that did when it was proposed for tier 9. Not only that but it is absolutely boring and seems incredibly lazy. Why this? Why another 1936B trying to fit in at tier 9? It makes no sense. Hull of a tier 7, guns of a tier 7, torps of a stock tier 7, but the torps are 2x5 instead of 2x4, and with +4km range and -5s reload does not make the ship suitable for tier 9 especially when this also costs it hydro. And no, giving it 7 of those new 30mm quad AA guns from Pommern is not interesting either. 365 AA dps with 3km range may as well not even exist. Nonsense, this ship is a joke. Type 1942C Destroyer Z51 perhaps? Type 1938A Destroyer which brings 150mm guns to tier 9 (just like Z39 does at tier 7)? Spahkreuzer? Strasbourg at last, and at least you bothered to give her a different model rather than just copy paste Dunkerque and ignore the differences. If only you cared as much about Littorio. As a fan of Dunk I look forward to her sister. Plymouth is interesting. Only 2/3rd of Minotaurs DPM and no Specialised Repair Team. Only 4 torps each side. 7°/sec turret traverse. Only 14.3km range. She certainly has a lot of disadvantages compared to Minotaur. But, smoke and radar and hydro simultaneously could prove advantageous, and I suspect her ballistics will be better than Minos. I'm not sure if there is any historical precedent for this ship and frankly I would much rather see Swiftsure added (and Belfast 1943 should really be Sheffield) but I guess this is ok for now. Mysore. A Fiji at tier 6. This seems like a really bad idea. Better than a stock Fiji, with an incredible turning circle, better concealment, crawling smoke. If you had no taken the torpedos away I would have considered it an absolutely ridiculous concept. But I still fear this ship will prove too strong. EDIT: has been pointed out to me Mysore also has just 3 turrets and isn't overmatched by 203mm AP which is quite a substantial difference.

Kansas Sigma nerf?... No dispersion mod, 40s reload, 20km range... and 1.5 sigma?... If you're sure... Florida nerf is pretty heavy, I am not surprised by the HP nerf tbh the 64k was rivaling Nagato. Paolo nerf, again, I guess finding the right alpha and DPM for these DD SAP shells is quite challenging.
  7. Another benefit of the significantly reduced aerial spotting, with AA disabled, is that it is easier to remain unspotted just because you are near someone else who is being attacked by the CV, the CV wont get a bunch of free spotting damage just because there are 6 ships within 6-8km of the target. This ambient spotting can be greatly reduced.
  8. The opinion of "virtually every CC" is not only hyperbolic but also not relevant, some of them are just sensationalist screaming monkeys who do nothing but bait attention for revenue, and many more of them are not interested in representing the opinion of the playerbase but rather expect the playerbase to emulate their opinion. CVs need functional changes because features of them are not balanced, but after so much time and so many changes including ones that have successfully improved the situation they are not "totally unbalanced". CVs are in a position where people simultaneously complain when they are on the receiving end and yet also complain when they are the CV that AA is too strong when uptiered/players clump up and dispersion is bad and that they cant quickly swing a game without using AP bombs, etc, not to mention all of the bugs that still affect the reworked CV gameplay. And yes, the playerbase also needs to adapt. There are still people who will sit and whine and complain and even make threats towards people that play CVs while making no effort to even understand how they work. "There are no counters, they just have infinite planes and destroy everything" complains a guy who played 6 games of Langley in 2018 and hasnt touched them since. People like this are criticising things they dont understand, why should that complaint be valid? As for the people that genuinely just dislike the gameplay, well, CVs were in the game for a long time and despite the current issues I think the current implementation and its potential is better than what we had before the rework in terms of experience and balance, so even people who disliked the old CVs should find the current gameplay more tolerable. If they really dislike aircraft that much then maybe they shouldn't play a naval warfare game from the era of CVs...

The AP performance comes from the improved richocet angles, which is still present on the new shells (and also features on Alaska and PR, those 305mm guns are the biggest guns with improved ricochet angles in the game alongside Stalingrad and the ricochet angle advantage for Alaska and PR is even more than Stalingrad gets). When comparing Americans, who have notable advantages in AP, and the Japanese, who have some of the best HE in the game, it is really not that surprising that Alaska and PR appear to have worse HE.

Belgian law considered the containers to be gambling, so in order to sell them you must basically be considered a casino. Which means minimum age requirement, a tax on all wagers and protections for vulnerable people among other things. WG does not want to do these things, so instead they do not offer the service to Belgians at all. I believe same is true for Luxembourg. Some games dont even bother to make changes to accomodate this and are just unplayable in Belgium
  12. I've never noticed this. People don't want multiple CVs in their games and rightly so. Most players hate CVs because they feel like CVs can attack and spot them with little/no counter or punishment. If the problem was exclusively spotting then after we remove CVs from the game we should work on removing DDs. As a generalisation this is not true. People expect a single ships AA to be capable of wiping out an entire squadron of planes as if that would somehow be balanced that CVs would be unable to attack a single ship even once. A fully health squad of planes can hope to make a single attack against a cluster of enemies, unless they are particularly unlucky with flak and cant even manage the one attack. Manuevering during the few seconds of time that is required to prepare an aerial attack is becoming an increasingly prevelant requirement to mitigate damage, but maneuvers are not always possible. A CV will often be able to make its first attack, but against a smart player the results can be mitigated and against enough AA that single attack can cost an entire squad. Trying to contend with such circumstances repeatedly with a CV and the unlimited supply of planes quickly becomes very limited. Surface ships have counters, most players just do not use them. This game is not NF, it does not have the same pace, the same mechanical AA solutions, the same risk/reward ratio. CVs in NF were hated also. And their limited planes were countered by having planes that were completely invincible unless shot down manually by AA, which required the driver to divert their attention away from firing the main guns and was realistically only helpful during a 2-3 seconds window of opportunity. As someone who played NF for many years and was both a moderator and balance team member I strong disagree with any statement that CVs "worked" in NF or that their example relates to WoWS. Give my BB a no DD option and my CA a no BB option. The game is designed with equipment and mechanics and skills that take aircraft into consideration. A lot of players have gotten used to a meta where ships that were supposed to be at a disadvantage when aircraft exist have been free to play much more openly and now they need to adapt to them just like every other class adapts to every other type of opponent in battle. So long after the CV rework was implemented there are still problems to resolve, but players that cannot adapt to their existence by now are their own problem.

  14. Midway and Hakuryus unique upgrades are now equippable, if you own them. If you had the unique upgrade mission chain in the past and didnt finish it then you'll obviously need to finish it to get the upgrades, If you didn't get the mission chains in the past you'll have to buy them from the Research Bureau before you can equip them, they cost 19,200 RP each. If you already own them then the 6th upgrade slot on both ships should have a red ✰ icon next to them and they should just appear in the list.

WG is not allowed to sell them, or they would have to adhere to the rules and regulations of an online casino rather than a video game, including changing the age rating of the game to not be accessible to minors. I have seen Belfast available as a reward for donating on a charity stream but that is about it...

Why no carrier fighters consumable at T4?

But fighters have more uses than just that, they provide vision. An experienced CV player will have this tool to exploit and an inexperienced opponent will misuse them, making the gap between them even bigger.

  18. RPS may have seemed like a valid structure back when we only had 2 nations and so every class displayed similar strengths but years old concepts like RPS died with the introduction of multiple new features, with ships of the same class having different strengths that make them good against different types of enemy. This variety has been necessary to continue expanding the content of the game and we no longer have a meta where generalising a ship lines strengths as if it conforms to RPS is necessarily correct. Every ship line, every ship individually, has to have its strengths and weaknesses weighted individually. There are many cruisers, for example, that are strong all-round ships that can kite or tank to trade positively with BBs, particularly those that can no longer necessarily overmatch them on every surface, which would be a poor example of the RPS precept that BB > CA.

Why no carrier fighters consumable at T4?

I'm not sure how giving T4 CVs would make them any more balanced, its just another mechanic that more experienced players could use to club new CV players with.

    Roma Cammo

Click the cog on the right hand side of the ship carousel in port and filter out the category for the camo in question. The most hideous Roma camo I know of the is the Kobayashi "beer can" camo but if I'm wrong you might need to test other categories to find the right one. By disabling a category of content those camos on your ships and others in battle will appear to you as a ships regular Permacamo.

    AP bombers VS DDs?

The arming threshold on AP bombs is usually 20 or 30mm, making it unlikely to ever arm an AP bomb on a DD and with the arming delay it would be unlikely to ever produce a full penetration even if it did arm, and ontop of that there is no possibility of a citadel. AP bombs and the german AP rockets are all poor armaments to attack DDs with.

Then hope that they buff the reload back up after they nerfed it down from 12 to 15.5, so that the shell change most impacts the alpha and the penetration, not the dpm. But I think you'll find its firepower is above tier 7s, despite lacking the Mk21 shell, when the whole package is considered.
