    Prinz Heinrich - P-Class Cruiser

You might be right, if it got that armor which I think is somewhat doubtful. Not sure about tier 9, I don't see how it could perform with so few, small guns even with shorter fuses. Odin and Agir already have 9x 305mm guns at tiers 8 and 9, 6x 283mm guns would need some phenominal enhancement or <10s reload time which would not make much sense. Siegfried has the same battery as Gneisenau and is two tiers higher. P-class has a worse battery than Scharnhorst so I doubt it would also be two tiers higher. An accurate P-class could very well be a tier 8, its size and low speed make the increased armor less of an advantage, the guns and the shells they fire are not significantly more powerful than Spees and in no greater quantity. It's secondaries are no better than Spees, two centerline twin turrets instead of 4 singles either side, it's torpedoes are placed amidship where they will probably have worse arcs and are more vulnerable, and its AA is only different by having 2 extra 105mm guns while losing all ten 20mm guns. An actual ingame version of this should would probably have reinforced AA and less deck armor (less than 50mm) and sounds like something that might struggle even at tier 8. It might have very high HP though, potentially more than 50k, based on its displacement. Having thought about it, perhaps the first tier 8 super cruiser?

    Prinz Heinrich - P-Class Cruiser

Enhanced Deutschland class, basically. So, a lot like Graf Spee. https://www.german-navy.de/kriegsmarine/zplan/panzerschiffe/kreuzerp1/index.html Using the larger 11"/55 calibre C/34 gun from Scharnhorst instead of the 11"/52 calibre C/28 gun that Deutschland has, as well as considerably more armor (50% thicker belt, twice as thick deck) and being almost 30% longer, rivalling the size of Scharnhorst. Would likely be a tier 6/7.

    Replay folder not refreshing

Did you ever use a mod to enable replays since it used to be done manually? Some of them put replays in their own folders so they wouldnt get deleted. It's been a while since WG changed replays so that a maximum of 30 were saved unless configured otherwise in the preferences.xml, perhaps something got confused there?

0.9.12 - Updates to Ranked Battles System

Well the experience of progressing through bronze league was pretty straightforward. With regards to the future leagues though, I dont feel like Silver and Gold offer enough rewards. I would rather stay at bronze league and get 400 steel for winning ~10 games than be at gold league and have to win 20 to get 600 steel. You do get more coal than at bronze league, but its such a small amount of coal relatively to the time taken. More steel at higher leagues please.

Clan compensation for recent EU server outage

Clans that were active during the period affected will automatically receive 1000 oil some time between now and Jan 8th. What qualifies as active during that period? Who knows. How will you confirm you got your oil? Who knows.

PT 0.10.0 - Commander Skills Update

Some general cosmetic feedback on rework from the PTS. Interace Issues My two main irks with the visuals of the commander skill interface are; The placement of the elite commander exp value. It would be just fine in the bottom left below the commander options, in a similar location to where it was previously and closer to where the commanders exp bar has been moved to. Why is there a back button in the top left for this menu when this "overlay" style menu that overlaps the port top bar should have Esc X in the top right. Should look like this; In addition to the cosmetic issues I find the interface, although smoother to look at and use, a lot more cumbersome than before. It is a lot nicer, but lacks functionality it had before for no apparent reason. In particular, it is no longer possible to manage the current skills mastered by a commander unless the commander is currently assigned to a ship of the class associated with the skills you wish to change. To further complicate this, the commander cannot be moved to any non-premium ship from the one they are currently trained for without retraining them, since the only options presented are to retrain the commander or cancel the transfer. This is more than a slight inconvenience. There should be the option to move a commander to a ship without retraining them and there is no reason for this screen to not have a Redistribute button; The new interface that lists your reserve and assigned commanders is a significant improvement, clearer and making better use of the screen space. From this screen you can access the info of any of those commanders. But previously, from the information screen, it was possible to modify the commander. This is also no longer the case and that is step backwards. Wording Issues The All Skills screen has a missing space between the words "and exploit" in the text on the left side. I recommend changing the Swift Fish wording to "Torpedo movement speed" or "Torpedo travel speed". Gear Specialist (DD/CA/BB) wording for DFAA should say "Defensive AA Fire consumable reload time" to be consistent with other listed consumables. Gear Enhancements (DD/CA/BB) wording for Engine Boost should say "Action time of the Engine Boost consumable" to be consistent with other listed consumables.

    Developer Bulletin for Update 0.10.0

You can retrain the commander using the same amount of fxp as before without having to pay 200k credits because the retraining cost is halved... Current: 19pt retraining cost 250,000 exp, pay 200k credits to cover 50%, then 125,000 cxp required to complete retraining. New: 19pt retraining cost 125,000 exp, 125,000 cxp required to complete retraining. In terms of everything else though, yes. Skills having no effect at all until retrained is not very nice. Not all skills worked at 50% currently, some do not work at all until retraining is complete. Hopefully, retraining will be a little easier with easier access to elite commander exp though now that non-maxed commanders now contribute 5% extra exp into elite commander exp. The interface is awkward, although I don't see why you would want to spec all of your commanders for all four ship classes, surely you wont use all of them for 4 different classes of ship? Not being able to respec a commander when he is not on a ship seems like a stupid oversight, especially when you cannot mount the commander on a ship of another class without retraining them unless the target ship is a premium. Lots of improvements required...

    Big FPS drops / stutters

There are not many ways to accurately determine why you might suddenly experience performance issues, especially with no other games you could compare recent performance with. There do not appear to be a lot of people observing performance issues recently either so I am not sure whether the recent patch would cause it or that WoWS itself is to blame. Out of curiousity you could download the PTS client and check to see whether your performance there matches your performance with the live client, although that is quite a large download for such a simple test that might yield no useful information. It may be you experience short term performance loss from something like Windows Update, WGC preloading patch 9.12, Windows Antivirus or another AV performing a background scan. It might be worth running task manager and checking the performance and processes tabs to see if anything else unexpected is requiring resources while you play that might be affecting your FPS, especially during moments of especially low FPS. Other potential causes could be any mods you have installed, if you do use mods you can check if they are negatively impacting your performance by running the game in Safe Mode with the dropdown button on the launcher next to Play. If that improves anything then mods might be to blame. I am sure there are some other threads of investigation you could pursue that I have not listed here. Worst case scenarion could be a hardware issue, which can be tricky with laptop hardware. However, the GPU in your laptop is, at most, just over 3 years old so I assume the whole laptop is no older than that. The majority of laptop hardware has a lifespan of somewhere around 4-5 years at least, so you should not expect any failures yet and it does not sound like you spend hours of intense gaming or applied any excessive overclocking that might push it hard enough to die young, it should be fine. But, if you would like to investigate this you can submit it to a stress test using something like https://geeks3d.com/furmark/, which would most likely crash during a 10-20 minute stress test if there was any hardware issue. Just ensure the laptop is left on a flat surface that keeps it well ventilated, you do not want to risk overheating the laptop.

Have you experienced any issues with other games since you noticed issues with wows?
  16. The additional coupons are a series of limited time dubloon discounts that are 20%, 15%, 10% and 5% discounts. They will appear in your coupons on Dec 25th and any unused ones will vanish on Jan 8th. These are available in addition to regular coupons and do not effect standard coupons. I am assuming that, like most coupons, they will only work on one armory category so these will probably only be applicable to dubloon ships in the Ships armory category, they are not specifically for the temporarily added premiums mentioned. Since you can only use one coupon per transaction you should decide whether you want to use your standard -25% dubloon cost coupon first and then use the new coupons which offer a lesser discount, or use the new coupons because of their shorter lifespan. It is unclear whether Siliwangi and the tier 9 premiums that are being added to the armory will be discountable with the coupons. This will depend on whether they are added to the Ships category or to the Featured category. Every excess phase you complete will reward you 400 research points for the research bureau and 200 steel.

    Update 0.9.12: New Year

Not only the nominal amounts you can obtain are important, the potential total you can obtain is a respectable amount, to me 80k coal and 8k steel seems like a lot for me to be getting. I think that is some indication of the quality of the rewards. But I am not comparing them relatively to previous years. Not compared to other years, these resources are just some items in the list of things that can be earned during the event. Not everyone will earn everything, not everyone will getthe same amount, but compared to other months events this one does not ask you to whale hundreds of euroes on early access ship bundles or premium ships with exclusive missions. These rewards are freely obtainable by playing the ships you own. Even if it is less generous than previous years, it is nonetheless generous. You can obtain X amount in total if you owned every ship. People who own more ships get more resources than people who own less. If the rewards were even higher then people who whaled more on ships than other players would get an even bigger resource advantage. Is that fair? Realistically the more you spend on this game the less rewarded you are at new years with the new reward scheme for snowflakes, yet I (who owns almost every ship in the game) am content with the amount of resources available to me. But maybe sharing the perspective of someone who is content with the rewards presented is not "smart" in everyones eyes, especially those intent on complaining no matter what. The amount of rewards seems perfectly reasonable and the distribution of steel and coal across standard and premium ships is uniform, for a player who owns every ships 2018 was a much better year because premiums were worth disproportionately more than non premium ships. For a player who owns every non premium ship in the game, the 2018 rewards would provide 67k coal and 4500 steel. The 2019/2020 rewards provide 42k coal, 4500 steel and 30 containers. Is that worse? 25k coal less for 30 containers, whether that is worth it is a subjective opinion, but I imagine a lot of players would prefer 30 chances for free premium time and ships around christmas than <20 days worth of coal. Not to mention that, compared to 2018, this year also has a dockyard ontop of snowflake rewards, worth another 10k coal and 2k steel and up to 3 premium ships. In 2018 you could earn extra steel by buying the steel monsters campaign from the premium shop. Previous rewards were greater for players with a lot of real money to spend on the game. Not for beginners, veterans, whales and freebies alike. We also now have new ways of obtaining ships such as the resource bureau that add value to resource beyond just pure coal and steel. New snowflake rewards are fairer, by not discriminating against the players who don't invest thousands in hundreds of premium ships. And it does take time to obtain them, but the event patch should last 1-2 weeks longer than the regular 4 week patch cycle, hopefully players find the time in 5-6 weeks. If you want to prioritise obtaining coal that is totally up to you. If your time is limited enough that you won't finish many snowflakes then obtaining the limited steel might be your priority. If you have the time to obtain all of your snowflakes by blasting through coop it won't matter what it is that you obtain first. If you really do not ever get the chance to buy premium ships and you have worked hard grinding 25 tier 10s with little to no premium time you might favor the containers that can have premium time, premium ships and other everyday economic boosts. Coal is valuable, but its a regularly obtainable resource. This is totally illogical. How can you play a game and earn a bonus 500 coal or 75 steel or container for doing so and claim that be worse than just playing the exact same battle like you normally would every day with no snowflake? Just play the game normally like you would play it outside of any event and you'll get some bonus for doing so, you cannot argue that playing the game for a temporary reward is not worth it because that same claim implies that without snowflakes or similar rewards then playing the game is not worth while at all. Of course it is worth it to obtain the snowflake reward ontop of what you normally earn for playing the game... Even free players who have to spend some credits to bring out their tier 10s should find containers worth the effort, because buying a container for the maximum resupply cost of 180k credits + ammo is worthwhile, even for the smallest containers. Even a small containers raw credit value, which is an extremely inefficient measure, is 375k credits, and the contents can be worth much more. If you don't find the small container contents worthwhile then fair enough, especially if you don't like playing tier 10. Does that mean other players dont want the small chance of free premium time, free premium ships, special signals they can stack with special camos which they save for days of free premium? You seemed obsessed with this. Obsessed enough to say it twice in one post. Obsessed with the word poor. Let me clarify for you, lest you forget that I was not the first one to describe the rewards as poor. poor /pɔː,pʊə/ adjective Of a low or inferior standard or quality. "not sure what you mean by poor?" "I do not understand how you can describe the presented snowflake rewards for the 2020 new years events as being of low quality and not worth the time to obtain considering the potential amount of resources available for relatively little effort?" Poor compared to 2018? Sure. It is poor by comparison. As I've stated, if we still followed the rules of 2018 I'd be looking at 120k coal, not 80k, and 18k steel, not 8k. The rewards may be less in quantity, most obviously for people who covet steel above all else, but they are fairer and more diverse, so I would not personally describe the rewards as poor. And in my opinion, anyone who looks at the combined rewards for the new years events and says "hardly worth playing for" is either selfish, spoiled, self-entitled or all of the above. Your "arguments" are really pretty repetitive so I doubt I'm going to respond any further than this. You don't seem concerned with anything except rambling on the same thing over and over. Continuing to ignore any points that I raise doesn't enhance your argument at all. You are not responding to what I said, you're just ignoring the fact that all my original comment was intended to say was that there were valuable rewards available as part of the new year event, regardless of whether it seems good compared to previous years, I'm grateful for the opportunity to get as many of the rewards avaiable as I can and I find it difficult to believe that some people call them worthless or unfair. Someone complained the rewards were so bad they were "losing the will to play", which seems quite a childish overreaction in my opinion. I agree with Terry on one point, new years in wows used to be the highlight of the year. But I still look forward to it, I was happy to see the new christmas port in the dev blog, it looks very nice, I think it will contribute nicely to the festive atmosphere around this time. I look forward to spending some time with my friends after a difficult year. I am not in the mood to complain that I'm getting less steel than before, I don't have to play ranked to get what is offered, that is good enough for me. But all you have accomplished so far is quoting one actual argument I made and then not addressing a single other point. You're not making any argument, repeating the same opinion over and over while calling the other person ignorant is not any sort of debate. You're entitled to an opinion that the quality of the rewards is low. I am entitled to an opinion that the quantity of the rewards is fair. If you have to keep on saying the same thing over and over again you should at least have a point to make. Claiming the other person doesn't have a clue while not addressing their points yourself is truly the height of ignorance.
