This. +-2 MM is fine, but there has to be a more even spread, especially at tier 5-6.

[Feel like a newb again] 1 overpen with Nagato on Leningrad for 4300 ?
ollonborre replied to AlwaysBadLuckWithTeams's topic in Newcomers' Section
Well I mean that 4300 damage registers as an overpenetion, which is pretty absurd when you think about it. The overpentration ribbon is in my experince is a temperamental mistress, and on several occasions the damage I deal just possibly can't be an overpenetration (like in this case). Until someone can give me a more reasonable explanation, I will assume it is a bug with the ribbons. -
[Feel like a newb again] 1 overpen with Nagato on Leningrad for 4300 ?

The hit ribbons have been bugged/wrong/derp for quite some time now. Nothing out of the ordinary. -
4 of my games today ended by time, and no particular game ended in a landslide. In my experince games are not really getting more onesided, and it is more of a day to day occurance how the games turn out.

15 seconds is not really short, it's the same as the Germans and only the US BB's have 20 second immunity but that seem to be their "thing". And since you never repair 1 fire usually and fire damage can be 100% healed Basics of Survibality covers the space of the damage control mod 2. EDIT: Never mind I derped out, it is 10 seconds, Germans get 15 and the US 20. But 10 seconds is still not bad and the rest of my post is still valid.

Wrong forum section. German one is here: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/forum/136-forum/

This is what I currently run on the Fuso: Upgrades: Captain skills: Because I run the rudder shift module I took Basics of survivability to get that fire timer down. Concealment expert is IMO nice to have when you get uptiered, because even though you will still get outspotted by tier 8 BB's it atleast stops you from getting shot at extremely early in a match.

I assume "cab rank" means the planes come in single file, yes? If so then no, because ingame that would mean you could easily slaughter the planes 1 by 1. As for torpedoes coming in from different angles, would this not mean that planes have to spend a longer time inside the AA auras, thus resulting in more plane deaths and loosing the whole alpha strike potential which is kind of the point of CV's?

This might just be me, but I never liked full torpedo boats. If your enemy is even somewhat competent it just becomes a frustrating waiting game, and you are resorted to just a capper that have no hopes against a dedicated gunboat. So for me full on torpedo reliance was never fun to play as, much rather play a hybrid as you can still contribute even if you miss your torps.
-
So the Khaba and Udaloi are powerful gunboats in the most dedicated and powerful gunboat line? In other news...
-
Because magazines can be hit from below the waterline and torpedoes have very high module damage. And if you want a bit of realism, a 406 mm shell has around 19 kg of explosives, where as a torpedo have ~300 kg of explosives. So obviusly the torpedo will ruin you.

Try your luck has been pointless for a while now. And with the upgrades beeing put in supercontainers the containers themselves are pretty meh. Better to just go for the flag/camo containers since they are the best deal even with the -1 flag nerf.

Can we get a Horn Button to prevent collisions?
ollonborre replied to Phil_McCavity's topic in General Discussion
There is a reason why tanks never got player controlled horns in WoT. If people don't pay attention to chat a horn is not going to change anything. Especially if you already have a podcast or music on. -
This has happend to me and I bet countless others. You loose connection but your ship continues forwards for some reason and then you die or get heavily damaged. I have yet discovered a pure bot in this game (even though some players certainly fit the description). A bot in WoT is pretty easy to spot, where as in this game it is generally just a completely clueless player or an AFK or a disconected player. But if someone can find a bot program and prove me wrong, I will stand corrected.

Honestly no online community could be considered good. And insults and threats are just pointless attention seeking that goes nowhere and is forgotten within 2 minutes. It's the same in real life. If a person calls you an idiot from across the street do you go over and smack him in the face or do you just smile and be happy that your life is not pathetic like that random stranger?
-
Is it? Most topics are offcourse allowed but what happend here is that people don't agree with what you consider a potential issue. So the backlash is just people who disagree or has another view.

Your opinion on the new upgrades as well as current ways of obtaining them?
ollonborre replied to eliastion's topic in General Discussion
Getting these from a supercontainer is pretty poor. Aha you might say, you can sell the upgrades so the credit value is what, 500k from a supercontainer with an upgrade? That is fine and all, until you realise a supercontainer with 250 damage control party 2 have a credit value of 5 625 000....- 42 replies

Because there are no bragging rights and profit from killing your fellow clan member in a training room. Hell when I was in an active clan in WoT a while back we did this all the time much like Khitan said. Get on TS, do a countdown, then go into separate channels, play the game, and then rejoin in a channel after the game is over and gloat. As long as there is no clear rigging going on (and I don't think I have ever seen it, and unless there is a mission going on I see no reason to rig a normal random battle) Clans can beat the snot out of each other to their hearts content if they like.

The latest month I have generally been playing pretty crap, and I blame that mainly down to me, doing pretty silly things, overextending, trying to get a daily double even though I'm way to tired and tilted etc etc. Sometimes the team lets you down, but even more often it can come down to your own performance aswell, so instead of finding someone else to put the blame on, analyse your own perfomance and take that knowledge with you into the next game. And then get torpedoed while you sit in a smoke and go play another game.

Hipper > Roon. Yet again I ask your highly valued advice
ollonborre replied to Ferry_25's topic in Cruisers
This is IMO their greatest strenght and what makes them generally fun to play, because they can fulfill any role. With DE you have a good fire chance with your RoF, and the damage is also reliable, your AP broadside and DPM is insane if given the chance, the best Hydro makes them great cap pushers, AA is good on the Roon and great on the Hindenburg, torpedoes gives them a close quarter punch and they are pretty tanky. -
So what rank have you gotten? Experiences in ranked etc.
ollonborre replied to CleverViking's topic in General Discussion
Only interested in Rank 10 to get that -10% service cost flag. After that the rewards are simply not worth the effort. -
A Comprehensive List Of Things I Feel Would Improve The Game.
ollonborre replied to Riggerby's topic in General Discussion
Your BB changes are out of line, the nerfs I can get behind, the buffs, lol nope. DD XP smoke thing, sure. It has been suggested before and something that would give DD players incentive to smoke up allies more often. And as for the whole stop the HE spam beeing on fire, learn fire managment. I have not felt IFHE to be much of an issue so far, and as for HE in general and fires, fires can be 100% healed (not sure about HE, is it 50% like AP?), Fire prevention, Jack of all trades, Super intendent, nerf to DE, Basics of Survivability and Vigilance (I know this does not help vs HE, but you mentioned torps so I put it here) and you very clearly have the tools to limit fire and HE damage. On a related note, 3 games in my Fredrich der Grosse tonight, and total artillery damage recieved is 285 038. Fire damage 116 635 (granted the FDG is very tanky). Not taking into account potential damage blocked, the fact that all that fire damage can be healed back and fire kill very slowly you can see that BB's don't exactly need to be more durable. -
More HP, better gunpower, nimbler, has Defensive AA, torpedoes are still useful and it has better smokes.
-
The AA buff was pretty significant, as was the mobility buff (even though that was a long time ago now). However the indirect buffs are plenty, CV nerfs, making 20 km torps next to useless (although that was a good fix), stealth fire nerf for the soviet gun boats, stealth fire nerf for the German DD's, camo nerfs to some torpedoes, nerfs to the IJN DD line, the introduction of Radars and Hydro on plenty of ships make DD play more tricky=less DD's in higher tier games.
-
You wot? Jack of All trades is now 2 points, Fire Prevention got heavily buffed, Adrenaline Rush can produce hilarious BB reload numbers, DE is again nerfed, Catapult Center provides amazing utilty, no more 5 point skills meaning you can make some incredibly powerful builds even earlier, Vigilance is still here as is Super Intendent. BB's have a lot more freedom to choose skills in the recent patch where as for other ships some skills are still pretty much mandatory.
