The enemy teams points also decrease when they loose ships, and your team gains points for it. So you can quite easily end a game with 800 points if the enemy drops below 0.

As much as I share your frustration somehwat, this is naming and shaming and will sadly result in a edited topic. On the other question, no I have not really noticed anything extraordinary stupid beyond the normal routine. BB's camp with the HP perk, cruisers show full broadside, DD's charge in without checking for radars and whatnot and CV's refuse to move. Buisness as usual.
-
I highly doubt it. There are certianly some things in the game that can seem very questionable, but suddenly having all of your ships suddenly starting to miss because reasons is most likely confirmation bias. Since if you look at your progress your average damage is going up so that poor hitratio you feel is not really showing stat wise.
-
Most likely confirmation bias. Unless there has been a direct nerf you can find then it is probably just RNG screwing you over.
-
Don't really see the issue? It is not like it was a complete steamroll and if you look at the XP your team did not really have a bad win.
-
So far I like it. It is not as powerful in its tier as the old Cleve was, but the quality of life changes like much faster turret traverse and a bit more range atleast make it more workable in tier 10 games. The consumable overload is also nice (altough not sure if needed). All in all it is not a bad transition into tier 8 IMO, and the problems I find with the Cleveland is more related to the constant uptier and not so much with the ship itself.
-
But it has low HP so it is balanced comrade On a more serious note OP, the Guilo is a bit lame, but if you get deleted you showed to much broadside, and any other tier 5 BB could have done the same.

Can Hindenburg really wipe Amagi easily in 1v1?
ollonborre replied to FriedrichCarl's topic in Newcomers' Section
And there the Hinden has 2 options. Either bait the Amagis volley, turn around, kite, repeat. Or just charge in and AP and torp it to death. RNG can still decide it but the Hindenburg will retain the control of the engagement in all non RNG cases. -
Question about captain points on a german dd

Survivability expert. Staying alive is more important in the Z-52 than gunpower. -
Can Hindenburg really wipe Amagi easily in 1v1?
ollonborre replied to FriedrichCarl's topic in Newcomers' Section
If both players are of equal skill, the Hindenburg will most likely win vs any tier 8 BB due to lol 1/4 HE, fairly resistant armor and great AP DPM if it catches your broadside. -
Cleveland doesn't seem very good
ollonborre replied to FearsomeFlotsam's topic in General Discussion
The durability of the Cleveland actually comes from the fact that the entire ship is pretty lightly armored overall, meaning large caliber AP shells have some difficulties digging into it. It is suprisingly hard to burst down a Cleveland compared to the Phoenix and Omaha which are some of the most squishy cruisers in the game. The 14.6 km range is sufficent considering the arcs, if it had longer range even BB's would be annoying to hit (the old AFT proved that quite well). So the Cleveland is a more defensive area denial cruiser. Find and island or terrain, lob shells at anything that dares sail into your range and use that amazing AA bubble to protect that area and your team. -
Community, where we have failed? Where?
ollonborre replied to Boris_MNE's topic in General Discussion
Ever since Beta we have asked and complained about proper tutorials and tips implemented in the game, but so far WG have not really delivered. So it has somewhat fallen on the community to teach the playerbase but that is not how it should work. The basics is what WG should teach and the community should be there for more advanced tips and tricks or other questions. -
Community, where we have failed? Where?
ollonborre replied to Boris_MNE's topic in General Discussion
Having spent quite a bit on this forum I sort of agree but not entirely. If you start a thread that is based on rage and broken english, yeah that thread is not going anywhere. However if you are constructive or ask a question there are plenty of helpful posts. And IMO this is not the worst community I have been apart of, WoT, League, War Thunder as some examples are equal or much worse. -
If you only get duplicates and have not finished the campaign, you can still use those duplicates to "buy" the items you miss in each collection in order to finish it. If I remember correctly you need 5 duplicates to buy 1 of the items, so if you get 2-3 duplicates per container you should be able to finish up on the ones you are missing.

I loved the Roon and thought the exact same thing, but no. Everything the Roon does, in every way that matters (secondary Roon does not count) the Hindenburg do it better. Only thing that sways in the Roons favour is the stealth, 10.9 vs 12.3 with full stealth build. But considering the Hindenburg is tankier and has more firepower with a conventional turret layout this is somewhat negated as you can get more firepower to bear at all times.

Or in any other ship... Seriously potatoes will be potatoes regardless of barrier of entry.
-
Do you mean the players or the ships? Since at tier 9 no ship is truly sucky (well, Ibuki is kinda meh). And if you mean players well all tiers have terrible players, and tier 8 being thrown into tier 10 games is more a MM problem. And the Mogami has similar range, I assume around the same stealth, worse AA, bigger citadel and around the same manuverability and it manages pretty good regardless.
-
Pretty much this. Even if you run reload module on the Hinden you still have 25.9 sec turret traverse. On the rest of the heavy cruisers it is a really nice quality of life upgrade however, and on some ships (HIV or Zao) essential if you want to keep your guns on target under a turn.
-
In the graphical settings you do have colorblind filters for teammates, divisionmates and enemies. No idea if it changes the color of the cap circle.
-
In my experince it does not. Citadel hits tend to insta break the engine but the rudder is much more sturdy (well the Zao in general is by far the most tanky IJN cruiser, altough for its tier the Myoko is also pretty sturdy).

Higher number of dispersion always means better?
ollonborre replied to FriedrichCarl's topic in Newcomers' Section
Yup. Although sigma value does not automatically mean higher accuracy, but yes with higher sigma comes somehwat mroe reliable shell groupings. -
No it does not. PTS is just that, a test server. Anything you do on the test server does not go over to the live server. The only thing that "transfers" is if there is a mission on the test server that gives rewards on the live server (like flags or camos). Other than that you have to redo the entire campaign.
-
It has always been laughably weak. I also run with the basic rudder module and most shots that land in the rear section will often damage the rudder or increase the chance of it breaking.
-
On paper, perhaps, but in reality not even close. The french BB's can be citadeled, while the trademark german turtleback laughs at anything that might resemble a citadel. Also from tier 8 and up the frenchies get 32mm plating pretty much everywhere so HE and AP for that matter can melt them suprisingly quick. As for the secondaries, the germans tend to do more damage due to 1/4 penetration rule as opposed to the 1/6 for everyone else, but the french have a higher fire chance if I remember correctly.
-
I was under the impression that the Gneis can get some pretty brutal secondaries for its tier? Atleast they should be mroe reliable than the main guns...
