Meh not really. Even though they apparently buffed the AI I still fail to see how any bot in a WG game can be a bigger threat than the above average or even average player.

Let me try to break this down a bit. Signals- This is arguably the most important thing that can pop out of those containers on a regular basis next to camos. They help immensly and since they are 1 use per game getting more of them is not a bad thing in the slightest. Duplicates- Duplicates can be traded in for pieces of a collection so by trading duplicates you can still complete a collection. Smoke screens- A ship in a smoke screen without a ship that is spotting for it can't see you unless you fire yourself. If 2 enemy ships are present the enemy ship outside the smokescreen will spot you for the ship inside the smoke screen. If that ship dies the smoked up ship will be blind as soon as your firing penalty wears off. If you fire at a smoked up ship and is inside your smoke firing detection penalty from the smoke you will also be spotted by the smoked up ship.

Ranked Battles - For those who have hit Rank 10 or beyond - Did you do it in just BBs?

Got to rank 10 playing mainly BB's after my Z-52 got tired of having me at the helm. Republique and Yamato are probably the strongest ships you could have, Yama with the lolpen and great armor, Rep with speed and RoF. -
Change the poll options in the first question so you have an option of "alright for now but not next season". As for the rest, tier 6.

So with the 0.7.8 update someone decided that the additional contents panel for the port was to complicated, so they decided to change it and simplify it. Somewhere simplify turned into "remove the options I actually use", as in what ships do I want displayed in my port. My port is already a very unorganised cluttered mess and all of the 43 Kongo and Myoko clones are not helping. So there it is, I can hide the exterior (never bothered me) in battle and in port, but I can't hide the ships anymore. A petty thing to complain about sure, but it was one of the few options I actually used in that menu for reasons stated above, so it is not really "simplifying", more like annoying. So is there a way we can have that option back please?

fumtu beat to it but no. Shinonome is a great little tier 6 DD that trades torp range for better dueling power (which IJN lacks almost completely so not a bad tradeoff) and if tier 6 ranked rolls around the Shinonome is a top pick. Kitakami as a special operation ship yeah sure. But locking it in the boring as hell Coop battles? Very much no.

People often confuse agressive and pushing with suicide rushing. And unsuported you will die, but that is not a problem or excuse that BB's can't push. With support and if the people behind you know what to focus your sheer amoint of HP and armor with heal and DCP immunity will often keep you going.

Hindenburg is fairly easy to citadel at range when broadside. But at closer ranges and when angled it is more difficult to burst down. You might cause heavy damage to it but the turtleback will keep most of the [edited] citadels away and it will keep on going.

Because I personally can't stand secondary builds without manual secondaries. My current for fun Alsace build is PT-AR-BFT-AFT-Mansec. Without manual secondaries the accuracy is way to much spray and pray for my taste. And like I said it is a pretty effective fire starter even if the damage is non existent, and BFT-AFT gives you pretty potent AA if you happen to run into a CV.

Not entirely. On the Alsace with BFT and flags 6% firechance with 2.5 sec reload is a ton of shells downrange that sets a suprising amount of fires on everything. IFHE is still going to be needed to cause any real damage but you can still have a somewhat effective secondary build while grinding for it.

6.1 km concealment with 8 km torps, 65 knots and base 68 sec reload is stupidly good. Low damage is no real problem thanks to reload and torpedo stacking solves the flooding. It is a better Gaede, and the Gaede is not bad. I would probably rate the T-61 as the best tier 6 premium DD at the moment.

What ships are you taking out in Ranked?

My DD of choice so far (simply because it is the only one I own) is the Z-52. I have had terrible results, most of which are related to me not adapting to a Ranked enviroment and beeing overly agressive so there is that. BB, Republique. It is just brilliant, fast, punchy consistent guns and excellent penetration. Protection is an issue but I can take it. Then it is the Yamato. And lastly secondary Kurfurst for the lols (for some reason I only won 33% of games but kept my star purely due to refusing to die and damage dealing, go figure). And for cruisers, well I only really played the Zao. Zao is good but I mainly focus on Republique due to legendary grind. And because I got Hindenburg fatigue since it is my CW main ship. -
Upon closer inspection it seems you are right. Still I wonder where that first amount of steel came from then since I did not play CW at the time... Oh well it could just be my memory playing tricks on me.

CE and FP are the best options for the Rep. FP is self explanatory. While you will be shooting much, you will not be shooting constantly, and at some point you will be forced to stop shooting due to either damage or getting into a better position. And at that point 15.4 km concealment just will not cut it, since you lack the overall protection and is a huge target. -
Tier 9 would be a horrible Ranked tier due to powercreep and Free XP premiums. Ranked tier 6 is what I would like to see. We have not had it in ages and with the rebalance of the Cleveland tier 6 is actually pretty well balanced at the moment and almost all of the tier 6 ships would be viable in Ranked.

Steel is still fairly new, and if I'm not mistaken there was a random battle mission a while back where you could get something like 500-1000 steel. So it is fairly safe to say that there will pop up steel missions in the future. Or you could get supercontainers and hope for the best

Like others have said this build is the proper way to go if you want to maximise performance on the Republique: The level of customisation is limited especially in Ranked, so anything other than the standard tank-stealth build is often not going to work. Other than that general tips, well shoot DD's--->Cruisers---->BB's. Only exception is if you get a full broadside of a BB and you have no real better targets. -
The rewards are one time only. So if you have 5 starred an operation before you don't get the rewards for continious stars.

Suggestion to fix the "sniping BB'" problem

Well this topic is not really going anywhere. And tbh it never will. Bad BB players will always find some excuse to stay far back in their happy little bubble living out naval engagement fantasies since the last 1 time they tried to push they died to whatever thing they now hold as a main argument why you can't push. They pushed unsupported around an island and found a DD at 3 km--->torps prevent pushing. Got focused down by 3 HE ships and burned to death because they instantly repaired the first fire and refuses to disengage--->fires prevent pushing etc etc. So the BB problem is as it has always been and always shall be the ever less gifted playerbase.
