I got the Atlanta yesterday. Have to say its a very fun little ship if you know how to stay mobile and fire while maneuvering. Predicting where the salvos land is another matter that will take some getting used to. The arc and travel time of shells is very parabolic and long. Great for hitting targets behind cover, but not so much while shooting at fast nimble targets at a distance. And yes, main battery gets knocked out very fast, so again, you should always try to maneuver or stay behind the big boys.
