The smaller team size makes poor teamwork more problematic. In a 12v12 there are just about enough ships to spread themselves equally around the map; in 7v7 there are not. This means that when I'm in the New Mexico, more often than not all the cruisers and Japanese battleships are able to steam off in a big circling move round the side of the map and I can't keep up. By the time the enemy destroyers get to me, there isn't an ally within 15km of me, because they're obliviously sailing round the other end of the map by that point. I'm a sitting duck, and the team doesn't benefit from enough firepower. It's also common to see everyone head to one point, notice there is an enemy opposite, get scared, form a clump of ships sailing round and round just short of the point, and let the enemy cap the rest of the points. Again, this is more problematic because there are fewer ships on the team. At least in 12v12, it's less likely that these sorts of lemming tactics will involve every single ship on the team.

Hatsuharu gun turrets - getting destroyed very often
Tommy_Cooker replied to Takru's topic in Destroyers
I also think the modules on this ship are far too weak. Battles tend to go like this: I see an enemy, I fire my 6 torps, they dodge (because it's just 6 torps and I'm firing from 7-8km, of course they can easily dodge them), I take a shot which knocks out my engine, rudder and starts 2 fires, I repair, I take another shot which again destroys my engine, I cannot repair it, I turn into a free kill. The current setup is just frustrating--someone needs to tell WG that making a player completely helpless and free to be killed at will does not make for a fun game! Edit: I've played four battles so far today in the Hatsuharu and this is how I have died in every single one. -
I'm loving the NM personally. I was considering quitting BBs because the New York, while it was very powerful when you could get your guns on a target, just seemed too slow to do that reliably. Often I'd fall behind the CAs, watch them die and then get mobbed by four or five enemies before I could fire more than a couple of salvos in retaliation. But with the NM the slightly better turret and rudder turn times make it far more responsive, and the accuracy and the two extra guns make it hit very very hard, just as I always thought BBs were meant to! I especially like how much you can angle it without making one or more turrets useless. I came up against a Fuso in one battle and we sailed side by side exchanging shots, but he wasn't able to angle as much as me so I ended up taking about 3/4 of his health, for less than 1/4 of mine, before the battle ended. I also got 5 kills in one battle on the Ocean map, which is one I used to dread since it tends to favour the long-range Japanese BBs. Most of those kills were long-range citadel hits on cruisers, which is not something I ever managed very much in the NY (I also got one kill where a shot went very wide and caught an undetected destroyer, so inaccuracy can be useful sometimes!). All this was with the stock hull so I can't wait to see what it's like when fully upgraded!
