Apart from Belfast, there seems to be another upcoming RN Premium: HMAS Perth

The most likely candidate would be Leipzig. Think Konigsberg's turrets on Nurnberg's hull. -

It wasn't a proposed upgrade, it was one of the preliminary designs. Much like the 4 x 4 6" gun cruiser between Gloucester & Edinburgh. -

For the French tier X I'd expect a 3 x 4 16" design extrapolated from the Richelieu -> Alsace progression. -
Given that there are definitely designs about for German carriers, I would guess the issue is the same as the Russians; not enough carrier planes.
-
Its been a known official policy for a while. Both Exeter and the Dorsetshires are likely premium candidates given the differences from York for the former and other options for regular tier VIIs for the latter.

Nope.

Not surprising, however, given its a 1944 design.

I don't believe that the Caledons (or the Danaes) got the Mk IX torpedo. The Emeralds might have. -
8, she's Edinburgh's sister ship.

This is an abomination. For one, County isn't a class, let alone a ship. Second, Kent, London & Dorsetshire are better than York. Hawkins works at tier V. Kent, London & Dorsetshire work at VII. G3 is more of a tier IX than VIII. Whilst the Mk I is somewhat lacklustre for that tier, there are options to keep G3 competitive. N3 doesn't belong at tier IX in a fast line. The 18"/45 Mk II (1920) is similar to Yamato's guns in terms of penetration The 18"/45 Mk II (1921) is a bit worse than the above. The 5/10crh ones.

Its the Norway configuration. British torpedoes but still 2 TT banks. Still the 12cm Bofors main guns.
-
No, its the hoists rather than the gun which limit the RPM (to 12). The 60° mount is the Mk XXIV, which was to be on the Tiger class (5 ships). The Mk XXV is 80° iirc
-
Still counts towards the AA total.

Minotaur was a Swiftsure class, and Superb was its own class, halfway between Swiftsure (which came before it) and Tiger (which came after).

The Kashima

Good think they are based on historical plans. Neptune was the result of the 1944 Cruiser programme, with 5 (later 6) units planned. After the war, they re-evaluated their needs and Minotaur was the result (5 planned). Both were ultimately cancelled due to cost and the existence of readily available material, like a number of other ships.

Calibre doesn't restrict you to a certain tier. For example, Courageous is definitely not a tier VI, VII or VIII, but has very potent 15" guns. Or Scharnhorst isnt a tier III or IV, despite having 11" guns. -
Oops, I derped on that one. Essentially its a halfway point between the many-rounds-of-much-height of Dresden and the fewer & flatter rounds of the others. Active has more broadside guns than the latter, with more RPM (and a higher MV than all save Chester), but will do less damage per shot. Compared to Dresden, it has the same number of guns on the broadside, but has less RPM. To compensate the MV is higher so the chance of the target dodging successfully is lower. Topaze class, but Amethyst in particular because she's a little faster (Still slowest tier 2 overall tho) Navweaps says light, so I'm inclined to lean that way. Plus its probably better for balance against St Louis.

Its almost like theres a lot to write about. Can't be as important as Glorious VMF, however. Eclipse is possible, but I'd be surprised if it was the option ultimately chosen. Something like Weymouth, Active, Amethyst or even Challenger are all more likely. Devonshire is unlikely as to follow the calibre progression rule all CAs thereafter would need to use 9.2" guns as well. Monmouth is very likely (I'm somewhat surprised we haven't seen it already), although the MV is actually 784mps rather than 846mps. Should make a nice partner to St Louis

The 4 x 3 design is 16E-38. Lion can probably fit at three tiers, with the original at tier VIII, the 1942 at tier IX and the 1945 at tier X. I'd prefer to see the Battles at tier IX tbh. -
Afraid not.

I'm not sure about the torpedoes, but the Douro's definitely didn't carry the 4.7"/45 Mk IX. They had the 4.7"/50 Vickers G.
