  1. Lexington should't be at the same tier as its historical peers, so I see no reason for other ships to have to stay. And the barbette thing was just an idea. Nothing more, nothing less.
  2. "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story". And it can always be an upgrade with changes made to compensate for more powerful hoists. Larger barbette with slightly thinner armour? To an extent the Cherry Trees are a pinnacle of British Capital Ship evolution, that of the slow and battlecruiser concepts. From their the pinnacles are all relatively fast battleships.
  3. I think there is enough room to play with to make them both work. I mean if you use the heavier of the proposed shells for the 18" Mk II, broadside is 18lb heavier. (1lb per round, that being 18 over a minute) Also, there is the 2,250lb shell for the 16" Mk I, or even the 16.5" Mk I if you feel it is necessary. Top that off with some DP secondary & light AA refits and some reasonable soft stats and both should be fine at tier 9.
  4. Agreed, N3 and G3 won't do at tier 10. Especially when things like K3, L3 & I3 exist. However, I can see them being tier 9s, especially if some of the refits supposed for Nelson are applied to them (primarily secondary battery, AA & FCS)
  5. I never said tier 10 for them. Maybe 6 & 7 or 7 & 8 depending on their airgroup.
  6. It is worth noting that the aircraft they can carry would be some of the most potent in the game. Wyvern, Spearfish, Vampire, Attacker, Sea Fury.

The Imperial Russian fleet and the Soviet fleet

its more the mounting than the gun itself. Half the RoF of its peers due to the cramptness of the turret impeeding reloading. Really bad dispersion due to very closely spaced guns and the fact that there are 3 of them that close together.

The Imperial Russian fleet and the Soviet fleet

Not that extravagent for a Dreadnought to be honest. Anyway, one subject you must always talk about when discussing the Russian Navy is the Kirov class heavy cruisers and how crappy their main armament was.

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017

Because they were generally outclassed by the light cruisers that followed them.

    Sweden - HMS Tre Kronor

Its a light cruiser, and Sweden did build other ships during the way. Destroyers & smaller, mainly.

    Light Battleship Design

Technically Panzerschiff is Armoured Ship. And I would say it lacks armour to be a true battleships. And Tirpitz had deck mounted torpedoes, but its still a battleship. She just won't be able to use them in game. Getting back to the topic, Ackworth's mini battleship is probably the quirkiest small battleship design.

    German technology tree

We kept discussion to private. Needless to say there are angry people. And happy too, but "wehraboos" are everywhere. Anyway, have some Big Cruisers http://www.dreadnoughtproject.org/plans/SM_Studienentwurf/

    Poland (ORP)

The name ORP Orkan was applied to HMS Myrmidon when the latter was lent to the ORP. And it is a picture of this ship that you have under the section for the improved Grom class, ORP Orkan & ORP Huragan.

    German ship list

Indeed, the limit is 80,000 t However it was also said that H-42 may be made an exception if H-41 fails to be up to the task.

What role will the germans have?

I'm sure that she can be balanced.

    HMS Hood

Prince of Wales was so new she still had dock hands on her. She was not at full operational strength. Neither Hood or PoW is three times Prince Eugen's displacement. And if Prince Eugen was at a disadvantage, but she wasn't the focus of the British fire (except when misidentified as Bismarck to begin with).

What role will the germans have?

Bismarck at tier 7, Scharnhorst at 8 and O klasse at tier 10? Silly Jee. Zerstorer 1945 had 8 12.8cm guns. She didn't have to be scuttled, she was sinking anyway. And the scuttle didn't do it, so ultimately it was Dorsetshire's torpedoes. Its also worth noting that Bismarck scored no hits in her final battle, with her main guns. And British FCS was some of the best around.

Monitor (warship) - Tech Tree options

Named in the spirit of the Entente Cordiale. And originally the Abercrombie class were due to be named after US Generals. This was later changed to simply M1-4, then their operational names.

    German technology tree

Germany wasn't an important naval power in World War II. However, it was a larger naval power than the USSR or Russia.

What role will the germans have?

Battlecruisers can reach very far, given the late was GK series designs. With plausible ahistorical AA refits. Battleships is about tier 7, again from late wat studies. Actually built/started ships is 6 for battleships & 7 for battlecruisers irrc.
