What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
lafeel replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Ow my poor WoWS credit balance. Well I guess that's to be expected when you buy two tier 9's with all their associated upgrades without selling the previous ships. Had over 65m credits before. -
Sadly you essentially nailed the problem with this, and so many other alteranative mode ideas, right on the head. And so hard at that that I heard the "YIPE!" all the way over here in Iceland.
-
From what I have seen, so far there has not been.
-
As is T-61. And let's not forget the V-25, G-101, and V-170 are as well as the German navy didn't start calling ships destroyers till after WW1.
-
I stand corrected, it is indeed (counted again) 7. Still silly mind.
-
Wouldn't surprise me. Still not wrong there, six funnels is way too many.

Best Bismarck Modules and Captain Skills in 2021
lafeel replied to TheDudeAbidesForever's topic in General Discussion
Don't know about "best" but I find the combination of secondary range, secondary accuracy, and close quarters expert works well for me. -
That's a frankly silly number of funnels on the tier 6.
-
Which is where the considerably better mobility of the Schlieffen as compared with GK or Preussen comes in. (or indeed any other BC compared with it's regular BB counterpart (except Gneisenau and Prince Henry)

Tbh the biggest problem with depth charges is the same problem they had in RL, the target needs to be up close and behind you. And before anyone says Hedgehog/Squid/Limbo/RBU/ASROC those aren't really depth charges in the traditional sense.
-
As a somewhat ironic side note, doing just that cost a team a match over in KOTS last weekend as using ASW strikes is strictly prohibited.
-
They are, I've used them in the training room before. Or, at least, they were last patch..

German Containers: Really Wargaming?
lafeel replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
This, basically. I got her myself and I'm certainly not complaining as I wasn't feeling the love for the Z-31.. Of course WoWS being WoWS Z-31 went and gave me a 120k damage game as a going away present while knocking off her snowflake.. -

A move that was clearly stated in the list of things you could get from the boxes at least.. -

Look on the bright side, it means you don't have to play through the very mediocre Z-31..- 69 replies

Except you dont even need a submarine to test out the depth charge pattern. You can do that just fine in the training room as soon as they've reloaded.
-
This, oh so very much this. This is what training rooms are for after all.

I'd have to say American DD's, good jacks of all trades so they help you learn the tricks of the trades. The new German DD line and the French DD line however are most definetly not for beginners, whether at the game or playing DD's.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
lafeel replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
You know, this has to be THE last ship I expected to get this sort of game in today. Still didn't change my mind about selling her for reasons that should be obvious if you scroll down..(got her from a German bb container) -
21 flags. Could be better, could be worse.
-
Seeing as I never owned the Moskva before fxp'ing her just before the patch hit.. I'm not all that bothered.

Technically they could with the assistance of fail divs, so it was worth pointing out. -

Wouldn't expect that from a Smith/Tachibana due to how small their guns are though.. -
That is, of course a whole another discussion. You'll note that I never claimed otherwise. In fact, in hindsight, there really should have been a Medium Cruiser category around the 180mm mark.
-
First part: shh, let's not correct that one, as I'm in the same boat. Second part: Seeing as the term "heavy cruiser" has long been linked to the treaties of the 20th and 30th decades of the last century, it'd be wrong to start finding ways to re invent it here.
