In a word, yes. Also, if you are expecting to get great results shooting 381mm or 406mm SAP at DD's, you'll be sorely disapointed. They, unlike cruiser (or dd) SAP fall afowl of the 10% maximum damage per shell rule.

Another DD day. As for the Maestrale..given that this is my first ever game in her, I have certainly seen worse.

Just goes to show, and any historian worth their salt will agree with me on this, the RN is a firm believer in not fighting fair. They will take and use any advantage they can get. Then again wars aren't generally won by fighting fair.

Great ship, no question about it. But definetly not the most forgiving ship to learn how to play dd's in. In fact she's pretty high up on the least forgiving dd's list. She is, however, exceptional fun if you can make her work for you.

I am just going to echo @Seraphice on this. Not the least of which because Alsace holds my record for most damage dealt in a single game. Sure she has issues, but she is far from a bad ship.
