Should be noted that you can actually brawl with them. It's just not what they're best at, and therefore your results doing so may vary.

Also have better torps than the Russians, and more of them with five tubes per side for a total of ten as compared with Tashkent's nine. That having been said neither Mogador nor Kléber are that good torp boats, even with that legendary module the latter gets. Why try and make yourself into a half way decent torp boat at the cost of losing the fact you're one of the (arguably the) best gunboat DD's in the game..

They cost 10 times their original cost in steel (which is the steel to coal conversion rate after all), which is the most fair way to handle it given that a lot of their owners have had them since back when they were still steel.

Of course the catch is you can't get yourself out of trouble with the low speed if you happen to do find yourself in trouble..

Except a fast turret traverse. Also her straight line speed leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Got to say she's been treating me well enough as well. Just like Albemarle she's hardly spectacular, but she's also fairly painless. Chalk me up as a fellow Yorck lover too.

Simply put, if you liked the Nurnberg you'll like the Makarov. Speaking as someone who has owned a one since she was added to the game originally, and actually likes her himself. (and kept the Nurnberg for those wondering)

And then act oh so surprised when said modes turn boring to both play and watch when people follow their advice. It's also, not coincidentally, why I rarely find wows competetive play worth the watch except for the stream rewards..

And one should play what one finds fun to play no matter what anyone else might think. This game would get really boring really fast if everyone only liked and played the same ships all the time

Albemarle. Saw all the reviews, was not expecting much after the mediocre Devonshire, and frankly bad (doesn't improve enough to warrant the higher tier) Surrey, but was pleasantly surprised. Sure I'd never go as far as to call her a great ship, but she's one of the least painful tier 8 cruiser grinds I've been through so far.

And this is what certain members of this forum just don't seem to get. As long as they aren't breaking the game rules while doing so the CV and Sub players have just as much of a right to play the game as the rest of us do.

If, and this is a big if, you can get a game without a CV, then yes. Remember she has no AA what so ever so any cv can farm her with impunity.

Am I crazy or might the Queen Mary be a decent choice for this? After all she doesn't suffer from the same slow speed most BB's have at that tier, and doesn't suffer from that glacial 72 second turret traverse the Orion has.. EDIT: There's also Moltke, but she's got some really bad AA..

Her maneuverability is not as bad as you might think. In fact, I've come to like the Albemarle, as shown by the fact that I am about half way to Drake without a single point of FXP spent to speed up the process. Having never played, and in no rush to change this, the Haarlem, I really can't comment on her though.

Derp, my bad. Well I'd argue that the Albemarle is the tankier of the two thanks to her superheal. Also her armor isn't actually that bad as long as you also use your WASD, which is something you should do in any cruiser.

He said "any tier 8 cruiser" in that post, didn't qualify it with the "silver" part.
