Simply put they tried to squeeze the entire armament of a Black Swan onto a hull barely 2/3rds the displacement. And with more powerfull machinery too. Tbh, they should have known that was not going to work before hand, and fired whatever idiot that did both sets of calculations. Usually you had one person doing the calculations for topweight and stuff, then someone else double checking them by doing them again, in this case this apparently did not happen, and instead the first person copied himself (source: British DD's and Frigates, WW2 and after by Norman Friedman)

Actually I can partly resolve that puzzle for you right here and right now, if you're referring to their turret armor: The tier 8 is a Benson by a another name.

Saves on topweight, something that's rather important on any ship, especially one as (relatively) small as a destroyer.

Namely the forum decides to randomly sign you out of it any time it feels like it. Turning this game around from a almost certain loss. The other two players left were..not good.

Meaning it is, most likely, included in the captain's xp total in the end plates.

Double check if the xp from the match did not include the bonus from the mission, just in case.

Indeed. And a pair of Hindy's and a Mo working together aa wise is something I'd personally keep my planes far away from. (caveat: not a CV player) Which is something you can use to your considerable advantage if you play your cards just right with such a trio working together on your team.

This is fifty shades of fail, as the CV players have just as much a right to play the game as anyone else. And giving a option to "opt out" of playing against them would severely affect their que times, and by extension their enjoyment of the game. In short, f*ck no.

It should. Actually the only reminder should be when you complete parts of it (ie sink ships/win games/get xp/do damage (respectively)) and its shown in the post battle result screen, in my expireince

As long as you have a ship that matches the tier requirement it is counted automatically

Definetly does not have what you'd call good aa either. The only tier 6 cruiser that does is the Cleveland.
