No, you can complete the Normandie missions playing ships of any nation. You do, however, need to survive, which is the issue here. -

Go and play the lower tiers. Otherwise you won't have a *edited* clue how to play your shiny tier 8's. Also, the short term for battleship is BB, bs is something else entirely.

You know what, the day you can guarantee that I won't run into a CV I'll start not running AA on my cruisers. Until then, I'll keep being better safe than sorry, seeing as going without seems to always attract a cv game. <.< -

Well one of them (the usually (inaccurately, Sevastopol commissioned first) credited as nameship of the class Gangut) is the tier 5 premium bb already. ;)

That second image is not of the Nikolai though, as they never finished her. Looks more like a Sevastopol class BB to me.

To be fair, most dd's do require a lot of thought to make the most out of. Or anything other than target practice for the other team out of tbh. :D

Plus, she's a Tribal class. Not only one of the most beautifull (in my opinion at least) destroyer classes to ever come out of the UK, but also a one that had a very busy war. As the fact that only four out of the sixteen built (for the RN) survived the war all too graphically illustrates.

Glad to hear she got the X turret back where it belongs, seeing as Cossack never had the 102mm gun turret. (sunk before the refit) Still fully intending to buy her personally.

At least try and get your facts straight dude.. Actually the Littorio was pretty badly damaged as well, no surprise seeing as she took three torpedo hits in that raid, while the other two took one each. -

To be fair, that one torpedo she took hit (and wrecked) the outboard propeller on that side, that is not a hit you can take and not head back to port to get it fixed. A graphic example of what a hit like that can do to a ship is what happened to the Prince of Wales. -

How about we just keep on reporting anyone who we feel has crossed the line in game for misbehaviour in chat and try to at least keep the forums civil, rather than this namecalling? (@both sides) As they say, two wrongs don't make a right.

As someone who suffers from it himself I feel much the same way about people using Asbergers in the same sense. Goes for autism as well. And don't even get me started on referring to anything in a computer game as cancer. <.<

Tbh, this applies to every ship in the game, not just the BB's, and can not be repeated too often: Know your ship. While we're at it, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of whatever your foe is driving doesn't hurt either.

They have to test it somehow, and the live servers is the best place to do so and get a accurate assessment of how well (or poorly) she will perform.
