Note that I am comparing the Maerker with the Z-31 there, not the poi-bote.

Fine in theory, as @Aragathor pointed out she's not that good at pretending to be a cruiser either (too few gun barrels, too slow reload) The extra gun and 1,9 second faster reload the Maerker gets might not seem like a lot, and individually they wouldn't be, but when combined they make her a far better ship at this role than the Z-31 will ever be.

KGV's HE pen is the way it is because her AP is all but useless even when top tier.

Used to think so. Then I got a couple of decent games in her and now feel that dishonour goes to the Z-31. You can make her work, you just need to be careful about it. (side note same, in fact, goes for the Z-31)

This does cut both ways though, as torpedoing from the second (or even third) line has been frowned upon since at least CBT..

If in doubt, don't launch. It's a rule I've lived by since CBT and has done me in good stead.

Also you don't really notice the supposedly better accuracy in my expirience. <.< You do however most definetly notice the slower main battery reload.

Easy solution: if there's a friendly either in the firing line, or looks like he's about to drive into it, don't launch torps.

No, they are two entirely seperate things. Was clearly stated as such on stream yesterday if anyone had any doubt.

Quick historical note for you: None of the Canadian Tribals ever had 4 120mm mounts, they all were built with a 102mm in X spot like seen on Huron and Haida. And in case it's not obvious, no WW2 Tribal ever had more than one set of tubes.

Despite Fiji holding my record for most damage dealt in one game for the longest time, my climb up this line has stalled at the Edina. A ship that only has AP for ammunition choice just feels too limited for me at this tier.
