Islands work both ways, you can also use the islands to cover yourself while you reload/heal you know :P And that is a bald faced lie. Either you don't remember, of you're lying claiming you want those times back. -

You mean like say when: Ships could literally fire out in the open because their maximum fire range was longer than their maximum spotted at range (ie before firing got you spotted out to your firing range)? Or maybe back when AFT affected up to 155mm guns? Or when you could fire from smoke without any concerns? Or back when waterline hits could cause (full) flooding damage? -
5 SC's currently, by my count. Could probably make it six without breaking the bank in time for the event..

Well there's your problem, refusing to learn something thats a major part of playing this game. -
You get +200% xp technically, so the better you perform the more xp you get. I know four games in is still early days, but she's nothing but impressed me so far..

The problem with bow tanking is that you can only point your bow in one direction at a time. Are you absolutely sure that someone didn't get around into a position to shoot at your sides instead? -

By his definition you'd also have to give the Acasta, Icarus, Jervis, Gadjah, and all the Soviet 130mm armed DD's DP guns (hell, even the Leone) as they had maximum elevation in that ballpark. Oh and ALL the IJN DD's. -

Neither of them had DP mounts in RL. Also, don't care what you might think you want more than a mere 36° of elevation for proper AA role, you want closer to 80. Also while the T-22 and it's sisters could elevate their guns that high, they were missing the other half of the equation, high angle fire control. Although they were no worse in that regard than the RN DD's until the Battle class.. -
In that case, the best of the three is Azuma. Shocking, I know, but she's the most capable of the three when it comes to direct fire support. That having been said, they are all good ships, you can't really go wrong with either the Alaska or the Ægir

Less of a issue, true, but there will still be times you will wish you had the extra flexibility the extra speed the Kongou and Pyotr gives them.

And that in a nutshell is the problem with a slow BB. Even if you want to, there's only so much you can do to help when you're stuck on the other side of the map, even if you have a clear line of fire. And as stated before, you rarely do. (as a side note, as a 21 knotter the Oklahoma also has this issue)

Not just HE cruisers, even IJN gun boat DD's can farm these things all day, remember they can get their pen up to 37mm with ifhe.

Except they don't get the superheal..And are a even easier target to hit thanks to their size..
