    I guess this won't work in long ranges, because I have seen several occasions that entire plane squadrons gets wiped by flak at max altitude.

    1) Yes, in some regards its crucial. 2) Damage and PR means nothing, a CV is the easiest ship in the game to farm damage, its also the only ship in the game that gets to choose who to attack and eliminate first in most cases. You can do 200k damage to a useless battleship in the back and lose the game regardless, or, you can do 50k in a game, which included eliminating all enemy DDs from the game and securing a win. Target selection is one of the fundamentals skills you need to master as CV player. Win Rate in solo games is the only stat that matters, damage and PR should follow it but NOT precede it.

    Yes but AP bombs are far more situational than HE bombs, and you can only get those guaranteed citadels on island campers and ships that sail in straight lines. Midway bombs are more flexible and their alpha is also very impressive when attacking island campers..and ships that sail in straight lines, I think i got an 18k + some fires on some drops. And how can you forget that midway HE bombs are capable of annihilating DDs. Haku has no chance vs Halland and Smaland, Midway is a complete different story. Sure, you can repair more of that damage but that's the trade off here and I think its fair.

    Um, on second thought i think this is true in some regard. Regarding midway, I would happily choose lexington 3x, 6400 torps though over Midways 6x 5000, but HE bombs and and TiTs are definitely a direct upgrade. For haku, I think what bothers me the most is how weak its rocket planes are compared to shokaku, all considering its a tier X carrier. But yeah, I think I over-generalized too much.

    1) Don't play stock planes on Shokaku, FXP them right away, Shindai-kai rocket planes are the best rocket planes in the game. 2) You don't have a lot of experience in CVs, judging by your stats, no CV will give you "free wins and damage" by just playing it, you need to get better.

    Generally, both Lex and Shokaku are more powerful than their Tier X equivalents, more so when not uptiered. Midway and Haku feels like a sterilized versions of the previous tiers in respect to their tier.

    This won't do, because then threads like "I wait 4 min in queue, WG fix MM" will start popping out, because there are too many CV players in queue. You need to fix the "popularity" of T4 CVs first.

    I agree with all of this. The "Response" from the 80% of the CV population to this is, Simpy seal-club in T4, that's why you have like 40+ CV players in queue in T4, and less than 10 in tier 8 and 10, which also results in the infamous 2 CV per team problem. I think T4 CVs, namely Hossho, actually, is the only problem WG has hard time to solve right now, and this is also where a good chunk of the CV complaints come from. WG claims that the CV pop is at around 9% right now, I can almost be certain that at least 4% playing T4 mostly, 1-2% T6 and the rest at tier 8 and 10.

    I think that Venezia agility needs to be nerfed first, it makes no sense to have such a good armor scheme and an incredible turning radius at the same time. Being open water cruiser with such agility ,firepower, armor AND exhaust smoke makes it impossible for pretty much anything to reliably punish it. From CW perspective, CV can't touch it due to very good AA, high turning radius and smoke, and other cruisers can't either at long-medium range due to same reasons and armor scheme. Meanwhile, Venezia shaves 10-15k HP off any target in every salvo.... The turning radius needs to be increased. SAP might also need to be tuned down a bit, either in-directly via dispersion/shell velocity nerf, or directly in numbers.

    I'm very happy with this event. Not only I get free goodies by just playing the game and doing those directives without going out of my way, I also get a free T6 premium ship that I actually wanted for some time now. Those WG "Conspiracy" videos/threads/rants are at the point of being downright comical and absurd. All I can say is Thanks.

    Occasionally you will get lose a streak, its inevitable at some point, just as when you get a huge win streak from time to time and you stomp enemy teams in 10+ match straight. In the end it doesn't matter much, statistics will always balance it out...if you are above average player, you will have above average stats, doesn't matter if you get the occasional 10 loss streak. And if you are bad player, then you will have bad stats, doesn't matter if you get the occasional 10 win streak.

  23. Really? I thought the most common complains in this community is the lack of counter play and CV spotting? What happened to that?
  24. What is the reticle shape of the rocket planes? is it the same as Midway's or Lexington HVAR? Also, with FDR it is easy to see WG approach at balancing new CVs. All in all this CV looks to be a complete trash.
  25. Did we watch the same KOTS? didn't you see how EU teams played? Park a ship bow-in infront of every island and slog it away, and have Somers on each side that spam torps at camping ships. That's how interesting games were, and its a god dam shame that RU aggression lost so hard against EU camping. The occasional Minotaurs that were picked were generally useless the entire game and had 0 value or impact, games in EU were decided whoever dies first to the random Somers torp or dispersion and then everything went down spiral real quick for the team that lost the 1st ship. There were no comebacks, there were no "Close fights", it was all 9-0 games most of the time. And there were no CVs in that.
