Here are the de-synced torpedoes: 1st strike: 2nd strike
-
It was effective for a while against the 6x Stalingrad spam at the start of the season. But soon after people realized how broken Venezia is, it disappeared since SAP melts it.
-
Well i thought that with the new German carriers WG will at least try to narrow it.. Now i'm not sure if they care about it at all...
-
To what side do you think WG is catering to though?
-
And not against the majority of other DDs. Also the casual average CV player will never manage to accomplish that either way, further increasing the skill gap....
-
Yes but it is such a specific scenario...
-
This make sense, but my point is WG questionable mindset about those torpedoes being an Anti-DD weapon...
-
I don't like it, it feels like a down-graded Kirov. You get better concealment and a useless spotter plane and you trade 3 barrels and worse accuracy and dispersion for it. Kirov was all about the gunnery, its what made that ship so much fun.

Lol i know right? every single player can play a CV, farm unicum stats and carry games, the class is soooo easy to play and requires 0 brain, there is no skill, just point and click and profit. Its practically impossible to be useless in a CV because the class is so broken and requires no skill to play. Literally every CV player you inspect has 60% + W/R on hes account and every CV player you meet in the game is a total unicum that can win the game by itself!
-
Probably saved for a premium CV.....
-
They won't. The community begged WG to give us Stukas with sirens on the new CV but they didn't. I mean, even GZ bombers have that wailing engine sound when they dive, could be easily implemented with stukas.
-
So they want to make German torpedo bombers an anti-DD weapon, with 4k damage per torp in tier X. hilarious. So not only the chance to hit a non-afk DD with torps is extremely low, but when you do, you will hit for ~3k damage after RNG, pretty pathetic reward for a heavily skill based weapon. German torpedo bombers just went from trash to garbage.

Don't look at me, I'm just the messenger. its WG decision to make one CV thread.
-
There is a dedicated sticky thread for this, why are you opening a new thread?

submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
steveraptor replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
The current state of Subs in the live game is the forshadowing of whats going to happen to the game if they get released at their current state. BBs and CVs are worthless against subs to the point of no reliable counter play (CV) and no counter play at all (BB). From CV perspective, the mind set is "I'm going to attack other ships and hope my team can kill the subs". You can easily see it by having 0-1 BB per team in a sub battle. People will stop playing BBs and soon after CVs as well. So cruisers will reign supreme and will make DDs life miserable. Eventually both classes will die out and the game will go into a death spiral.... -
PSA: How to keep your UBoats alive!
steveraptor replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
Yes its fine, because BB has some means of defense vs DD and CV. Against subs you they have literally nothing they can do to fight back. Why do you think there are no BBs queuing for sub battles? -
Insert click bait title here - Not a CV rant

Flak is not what makes halland AA powerful, in general, "good AA" isn't judged by how many flak clouds, because those can be avoided in most cases. Mino AA isn't good because of its flak, but because of its continuous AA that melts planes in seconds. Halland flak pattern can be easily avoided by turning pre-maturally before he opens up on you, all flak will miss. Halland good AA come from hes continuous damage and its effective against rocket planes because you can't get more than 1 drop on it. If you manage to ambush rocket planes you can wipe hes entire squad and he won't get time to turn around hes planes for a strike. The only CV that can kill halland consistently, considering a good CV player, is midway. Haku is helpless against halland without support from other surface ships. Another mistake people do with AA is sector. nearly all Halland players i attack with a CV misplay their sector and then gimp their AA since the CV can quickly switch sides, especially if coming from the stern. You don't activate your sector AA when the planes are close and about to pass over you, instead, you activate the sector right after they pass since they will stay within your sector side for the entire duration. Def AA is best used to protect friendly ships, more so BBs from torpedo bombers and keeping a distance of more than 3.5km from them. With Def AA, any torpedo bombers attempting to drop a BB will be forced to eat undodgable flak directly infront of them during the attack run, essentially wiping the entire squadron. -
Another Ban served, see you all in 2-3 weeks ;-) x

Shower thought: Since its first days in the gaming video industry and WoT, WG has been doing pretty well and grew as a company over the years. Both WoT and WoWs are very successful and exist for several years now with a very healthy player base, that. apparently, enjoy both games and are playing them. So tell me, why should WG listen to its player base if their own decision making worked for them those far? They are probably happy with the current state of the game and their economic and financial state. -
Ah yes, the weekly conspiracy, by the most annoying CC in the game.
-
I played WoT since the first day of CBT, was young back then and had no IRL work, so was playing F2P only and played mediums, T-54 and Patton line, all F2P. The game was great, even without any events, free goodies and stuff, ended up with a 60% stats on both lines and played on ESL with my clan. Quit the game around 3-4 months after ESL was first announced. Before playing WoWs i was thinking about going back to WoT. I installed the game, logged backed in, got bombarded with insane amount of stuff and everything felt so foreign, i got so overwhelmed. I looked on my stats and I didn't understand how i even got them, I just didn't felt like I can go back and "Earn" my account, not sure if my skills are even up to the standards they were 10 years ago. But i don't know, from what I understand things got worse.....auto loaders everywhere, arty got worse (has stun shells?) and premium ammo still exists.... So I decided i need to start something new, and then tried WoWs. The best thing in WoT is how skill played a big factor, much more than in this game. Due to the game being so dynamic you could make some insane plays, especially with mediums, I think i have at least 7 Whittman's medals on my account, some of them with T-34. Circle jerking heavy tanks was one of the most satisfying things you could do in a medium. Still, i had really good memories from this game.

When the map name and the ships fit just right.....
steveraptor replied to steveraptor's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately i didn't a take a picture of the end screen. But it ended in our victory with audacious and Kremlin left standing. I actually managed to torp 2 smolenks in their smoke. The early-mid of that match was insane, pretty much any ship that approached a cap and wasn't a DD got BBQed back to port. -

I don't think i ever seen so many smolensks in one game.... -
Nothing special in this video, you can do it in any CV to another CV. And all you accomplish in that is losing all your torpedo bombers.
-
Can you elaborate? If the DD is turning broadside to you and jamming hes Q/E and giving you broadside, than even doing what Yoshanai posted in hes video does not guarantee reliable hits and you can't drop a perfect bow/stern. The drop pattern is also unpredictable, sometimes even on perfect drop (e.g. stern/bow in 80% coverage) all bombs end up on the edges of the reticle..... I tried to figure the drop/dispersion pattern in training battles but i couldn't notice any behavior to take advantage of.
-
Because bombing DD is based on: 1) 70% RNG 2) 30% dependency of the target being a [Edited] and sailing in a straight line, allow the CV player to line up a perfect drop (and even then the RNG can screw you over) Rockets provide the only reliable mean for a CV player to deal damage to DDs. **EDITED: Lets keep it a nice. - Immoxb**
