    How to Mutsuki/IJN DD?

    Since your battle count is low and I assume you're new to the game, the most important thing is to learn the detection ranges (when maxed out) of enemy DDs (the margin between theirs and yours is crucial to DD combat, especially at the start of a match), which ships have radar and which have hydro. Hitting things with torps is one thing, but just being present in front of the cruisers and scouting are probably more important towards winning the match.

    Gief UU that makes Leeuw's airstrike its main armament. In all seriousness, it's a good way to add replay value to techtree t10 (as opposed to superships and premiums) and something to spend RP on. Would like to see more of them, interesting ones that have a big impact like on Kleber.

    Mutsu is probably very good for ops where its downsides (terrible concealment, no AA, wonky armor) don't really matter.

  6. Aside from bringing back the ones from before, it seems they're now going as far as disguising submarines as cruisers to slip them past our notice. Cruiser submarines, if you will.

    Having to cap with something like Blysk or a French DD is already iffy. but you have the speed to get out of trouble and dodge most incoming fire. Being expected to cap, alone, as a slow DD with bad concealment is one of he most unfun experiences ingame, especially when there's planes and radar. Yeah, you have your tiny smoke and hydro, but that's only going to buy you time,. You're still going to get pounded if any enemy DD shows up. Short of staying behind cover within the cap (when it's even available) how do you cope? Do you even bother with capping at the start of the match?

    Chasing down a faster, stealthier DD is a losing proposition. Especially at the start of a match with half the enemy team's guns fixed on you.

    Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

    Was something done to the (t2-3) MM in this update? Used to be that after about the 5-minute mark, it'd just start a game with bots and whatever players there were, even if it was just 1 per team. Now I'm looking at 13 minutes and counting. Not good.
  13. Haven't tried it yet, and I possibly never will. Mainly because Ranked is more a incentivized use of my playtime. Besides, I'd have to re-grind the t10 I'd be willing to use after resetting its line. I don't know why they keep limiting these things to t10. At mid-tiers, I'd at least take a look-see when not playing Ranked.

    Poll: Current Patch

    Don't care about superwhatevers. Still can't grind PA CLs, and even if I could, I don't consider them PVP material. The only reason they're not out this month is to get whales to buy them early. Can't access Armory or Premium store without the game hanging and having to restart because it won't even minimize properly. Still ongoing after several days. Not playing Dirigibles yet because it's limited to t10, which I don't feel like playing right now. I'd try it out on mid-tiers, which is more in my comfort zone. Don't care about Dido or Canarias. Not playing enough different ships to get either. If I could do different tiers rather than different countries, then it'd be fine. Overall, bleh. Looking forward a bit to Rogue Wave next month, but I have a feeling I'm going to intensely hate fighting Ita DDs.

    There used to be a Chinese VO (I remember having it on my Anshan back in 2016) but it was removed years ago for some reason.
  17. Am I the only one who's bothered by the catapult being in the same slot as Engine Boost? Even by loony WoWS logic, there's no reason for that. No one's going to go for the fighters unless they're truly desperate for plane kills. It's also why I've passed on Carnot.

    I don't plan on playing past t6. The reason being radar (and yes, even the t6 and be uptiered to where there's plenty of radar). CLs are already frustrating to play because they can just get deleted even when angling unlike BBs, and at a range where you can semi-consistently dodge, you have trouble hitting things due to the shell trajectory. This line goes all-in on this by having the absolute worst armor scheme this side of an Omaha-class, short-ranged guns with slow shells, and relying on a gimmick consumable that more and more ships can counter. Like RN CL, it's more of a unicum line.

  20. I read "Shimabattlecruiser" and pictured some Yoshino-size monstrosity with dozens of torpedo tubes per side.
  21. The Gremlin, no way. Could buy a multiple discounted games for that price. It's highway robbery. No particular interest in the ship anyway. The coal would be a good deal, but there's not much more I want from the armory.

    "We know the ship is OP but it's okay because there won't be many of them." I hate that they're doing this, but at the same time, I want Smaland and would probably dump every credit into getting it. Edit: Oh lol, it's doubloons. Of course it is.
  23. What I described (farming RP for multiple RB ships) can take thousands of co-ops. At some point, it becomes better value to just buy the permacamo.
