Of course, once you become too old and decrepit to do all that, you can re-purhase computer and start playing World of Warships. PROBLEM SOLVED!

NAAH! Accurate shooting is totally overrated, that's probably why I never hit anything... But yeah... @ForlornSailor I agree totally. All Cruisers in higher tiers should have SOME kind of heal available just to compensate for the their proclivity towards instant LOL-pen by nearly anybody at any time. Mikasa exempted, of course.

I always found it fascinating how you can fire a broadside salvo in Mikasa from 5 km away and have the shots straddle the target perfectly with one landing on each side, one right in front and one right aft of the ship without so much as scratching the paint. I like to take it as a sign that at the least my aim was good, but perhaps the God d*mned gun barrels are just diabolically bent or something, on occasion even shots from the same turret somehow manage to land perfectly in front and aft of a 200 meters long ship just beside you. But then again I might have been in error, when in my ignorance I blatantly assumed that guns placed in the same turret perhaps might be aligned to point at the same general direction, silly me. Totally my bad. Ahh, the unending mysteries of awesome gunnery...

True all dat. I however tend to find my stats rather disturbingly accurate reflection of my gameplay. BUT still... Improving very VERY slowly, since I am only a weekend skipper after all. And of course, there are those well over 2000+ potato-games saddling them, when I was still an obsessed (and very incompetent BB player) and of course, persistent and obstinate failure to check out any guides, whether in-game or otherwise did contribute to this ignominious failure. It was only when I shamefully became a total wussy and dweeby nerd and thus surreptitiously discovered such mystical things as "Binocular view", "torpedo aiming and range", "gun lead on target" and something called a "Minimap", the latest which has been surprisingly helpful in avoiding those pesky mystery islands I tended to be colliding with and which I could swear were not there seconds before. Just to mention a few. So in this case, my grudging transformation from the obvious epitome manly macho god into a wimpy cur has inexplicably resulted in a surprising improvement in my game play results and correspondingly, those annoying stats... Go figure. Of course, you might say that I could have done all that a bit earlier BUT to my defense - It did take my cantankerous grandfather full 26 years to somewhat accept my aunt's husband well enough to utter "Good Morning" to him for the first time, when they bumped into each other in the kitchen for only like the 20.000th time... I blame sparse gene pool - I simply had no choice. So what can I say? Sheer obstinacy is and has always been one of my most lovable qualities.

I can, have done that many times and lived to tell the tale. Emile Bertin is a good ship and one of my favorites, but you have to play it right, it is fast and agile (take the steering gears mod just to make sure) and the turrets turn very fast so you can WASD your way out of trouble while maintaining guns on target and firing at your pursuers also the range is longer than Furutaka, for example (and torp range is almost the same at 9km), so you will be able to keep it at arm's length, it also fires MUCH faster. It does suffer from incapacitations tho and takes damage easily so I would recommend taking Last Stand and Adrenaline Rush for your captain ASAP. Emile's AP is well able to pen any Cruiser in her tier and even some higher tier ones though you might want to consider taking IFHE at some point to improve your HE damage a bit...

Yeah @Vanhal, very unfortunate. WG may have indeed sadly blundered there by adopting too narrow scope... I mean by including all those they could have easily added some 5-7 tiers more to the game giving it more depth and variety and creating much Increased Interest for all of us.

Woah! I have only tried My Mogami's AP a few times and only against British or Russian CL, as I figures it would be too lightweight for anything else. Guess, I'll have to risk a few experimental rounds with AP on occasion then. So are we still talking about the roughly 10km range then? Waittaminute! 10KM! But, but - That IS the Cruiser suicide range already...

I currently have mostly IJN and some German Cruisers tho - Oh yeah and a couple of French ones too. How does Ibuki do with AP against BB then? Or do you have to be suicidally close to make a dent? I did manage to score a Citadel on Queen Elizabeth in my Hipper the other day tho, but I figgered it to be just a fluke. So Cruiser AP against BB is a thing then? I am assuming this only works for Heavy Cruisers tho?

Ahh ThePurpleSmurf you took the words right outta my mouth... Started to play more Cruisers recently and I try to use AP, whenever there is a chance. It really just does better all-around damage. To other Cruisers that is, tried it on DD's too but HE is still clearly the better choice there and of course, I've never managed to do any significant damage to a BB with Cruiser AP, but that is pretty much a given anyways, I guess.

Ahh, my friend, but do not forget, it is extremely hard to get Black, so to further balance it out pretty much only Super-Unicum players could reasonably be expected to have one (or their little siblings on an illicit gaming binge). So if you see one, it's already gonna be too late. No Worries! ..

Hmm, I use the flags that increase detonation chance all the time, sometimes both at a same time and often without the Anti-deto on, I never get detonated on those occasions. BUT Just wait until I dare go out with a DD without any bloody flags on and it's "Detonation Alley" right away... Strange dat...
