I ADMIT NOTHING...

AAA? @P2Win I am confused.... But on the bright side, I recently bought my first "Real" premium ship = Atago (well, I have others but they were mostly reward ships and such) and had almost immediately the oddly distinct pleasure of being called a "Premium Noob" by a dissatisfied dead fellow (and I did not even potato that match). But then again, I always wanted a distinct title, so...

Theoretically, that works BUT only if there is no CV in the game OR in a game where the teams DO NOT have 5 DD's per team to keep you perma-spotted. I have played 60+ 8-10 tier games last week and not even once has any enemy BB managed to "disappear" from view during the match in order to avail or the benefits of their concealment. Of course, I am not saying it does not happen, of course it does, but once those 5 opposing DD's or planes are within range it helps you none, at that point it really seems that almost any other module or combination of 2 such like AA module, FP or AFT would be more beneficial. As for German BB's, since they are mostly brawlers, a secondary build does make sense, though one must learn to adapt his own playstyle to account for it and to compensate for the inevitable tradeoff. Just saying, since some of my friends prefer to brawl and as far as they are concerned CE is of little or no value at all. But of course, yeah choose the skills that most most compliment the thing you want to be doing. Not everyone wants to be a dedicated sniper or a brawler, perhaps a more generalist build could work too (especially if you share commanders between ships). It is best to find out, what playstyle best suits your skill, temperament and ship before deciding. An example. I recently started practicing Cruiser play, so I discovered that the turret traverse in IJN Cruisers is rather abysmal, therefore Expert marksman skill is a MUST, it will make them turn a bit faster - It will still be way too slow even for a patient man but every little helps. I also have french cruisers, who have very fast turning turrets, but slow loading guns, so in them I have not taken this skill, since the guns turn fast enough to be pointing the right way, whenever they get loaded again. You get the point right? it is always worthwhile to carefully get to know your ship to see, where a buff would be most beneficial to you instead of going with a generalistic skills or even ship module choices for that matter. So instead of saying that you should just blindly go ahead and take CE no matter what, it would be best to give some thought as to what you are going to do or face in the game and make your choices according to that. It is indeed a useful skill, but as everything else it will have an inevitable trade-off and it won't just make your games magically better, so match the skills you choose to what you actually plan to do with each ship. Of course, it must be said at this point that I have only IJN BB's myself, so that is why I do not see CE, as so useful skill for my BB's, but as @PseudoMi already mentioned before, it varies with the ship.

Oh well, that would be good then. Not so OP after all but of course pretty much as useless as the current 20km torps then. I do not see anyone actually equipping them as such (perhaps for 1 game just to try, but then switch back to the usual). Next under development, an AP Gun that does double alpha damage and has a 50% detonation chance but can only hit Conqueror. -
Annoying, isn't it? And of course, if the enemy was smart and let the unspotted DD enter first, you're probably screwed...

Well, just watched a Youtuber explain the Shima DW torps. Apparently it will become an option to have the 20km torps, as DW torps with 67 knot speed and 0,7km spotting range... There will also be available the 12 and 8km regular torps and of course the torp reload booster. Guns will remain the same. Now add to DW torps Torpedo Acceleration skill (72knots anyone? Dodge that, you schwein) and a Torpedo Reload Booster and you will have an impossibly OP torp boat again. I will definitely try that one myself. 30 Undodgeable DW torps on the way. Of course a Shima like that would be completely useless in capping, but who cares right? Even Cruisers will have a problem dodging those. BB's will probably be toast no matter what. Due with the next patch. -
True dat, I have no hard facts to back it up, just saw something or another comments like that in a Mr. Jingles Youtube video a while back, but it is a hunch and if WoT indeed works like that then it does make sense they would make use of the same mechanic here. Also you own previous observation seems to support that theory.
-
Well yeah that would be better, but then again, they already have signals for that so I guess Flags are just for decoration for now...
-
I think you can only reset cap, when you hit the one enemy ship, who first entered the cap. In other words the one, who started capping, hit anyone else and it has no effect. I think that is the mechanic in WoT at least. But that is only my guess.

Awesome! Thanks Mösjöö General @BrusilovX Deeply indebted. I hereby promote you to the honorary rank of a "Most Useful Mammal". Live long and prosper, good Sir

I agree, I prefer my Shimatorps, as is pls. Without them poor Shimmy will be completely defenseless against other DD and even with them it is a stretch in tier 10. -
A white Engine? @The_Tyke Woah! Totally Awesome! Maybe I will try to grind it then... Always been the best way to get Premium ships for me. Because I'm too da*n cheap to buy any, hhehehe! Well OK, I did buy Mikasa but to my defence I was drunk and it seemed like a good idea at the time...
-
Is it any good? The Dracula?
-
Probably Myoko, though I am not very good at it yet (not enough practice) although Shiratsuy with TB comes a very close second.
-
Personally, I do not have many premium ships yet. And while I find those I have to be quite decent, I still prefer to play most games with my regular ships instead. Fujin exempted, it is just too much fun to leave alone for too long - Though there's always Minekaze ... Hhehe!
-
I agree with you on all points except this one my friend. The reason being that I currently possess some 16 19-point captains - Granted I have so far mostly played only Cruisers and DD's BUT once I have gotten all my DD and Cruiser caps up to 19 points (Ok, that mught take a while yet) I will probably try and learn how to BB, so there will definitely be some 19 point caps in that tier in the near future.
