Well, I guess the title says it all BUT I recently got a couple of these and I cannot for the love of God think of any ship where I would LIKE to mount this instead any of the other options for the same slot. Neither can I think of any ship or situation in which this could actually be described as a viable option. Anyone out there, who has found an actual use for it? I was thinking of giving it to Mikasa (useless main battery and always on fire etc) but alas, it is for tier 6-10 only so foiled again there...

Certainly not as long as all that. If you are sure you want the camo why risk it, just buy it in advance. I did. Totally works.

Yeah, sigh @22cm... IF only I had any US BB's... The choice would be easy. Though I did NOT realize the difference in action time would be so significant.

So you guys won - Obviously... Luckily I did not find myself in that team. It is certainly bad enough to have to cap in a Cruiser (as I have been forced to do in my new DD - the Mogami quite too often) but being forced to try capping in a BB tends to be quite hopeless and just should not happen.

Sometimes it is indeed better to switch ships. I would have just taken a Shima after seeing that kind of queuing lineup, OFC that may not work, oftentimes you just get into game right away and have no chance to switch to a better fit (especially if in Cruiser, usually I have no queuing time at all). So it would be quite unfair to blame the unfortunate Cruiser player for the outcome in that case. Well, at the least, if it was his first game of the day.

Hhehehe! yeah, I have noticed that. I have mainly played DD before and many are the blithely onrushing Bismarcks I have managed to torp that way. I intend to choose those moment very very carefully indeed. But overall sniping and camping playstyle is something I just can't do for very long and certainly not the entire game. Have no patience for such and tend to get this compulsion to move on before the moss sets in, you know.

Ehh? Throw Bismarck? @von_chomWell I never... Only have those ships I intend to keep and of course I only keep the historical ships so while Torpitz is certainly a possibility I will unfortunately have to refrain from accessing tiers 9 and 10 in this case - Just a silly rule I made for myself never to get paper ships (I just free-xp past them or stop grinding the line), I am a bit funny that way.

Hmm... I have only Bismarck and IJN BB's so very limited choices available for me at the moment then. I was considering Musashi - Due to her well-advertised vulnerability to air attack on premises that the DD and CV players to be competent enough to time their torps taking the heal into account are more likely found in higher tiers facing her and will make her a priority target, as @Jvd2000 noted OR perhaps Bismarck, due to my intention of using her primarily for tanking. What do you think? Oh yeah, I DO have Dunkerque and Schanhorst too... Hehe! Totally forgot that.

Hhehehe, no worries @tank276, if you went all technical I wouldn't understand it anyways. Ssoo, basically... What you guys are saying is that while it is active you cannot be set on fire or be flooded - immune to addition damage by flooding or fire so to speak? So it helps to limit the damage you take while tanking then? Hmm, indeed looks like something that might be useful for a Bismarck then.

OK @tank276 , why in Grosser Kurfurst tho? What exactly does it do that makes it a good choice for that ship?

But why, oh why @WolfGewehr? I have read how it works in general, but have not really taken in the full significance of it so I need some explanations from someone who's actually tried it out to enlighten me as to what gives.

Aaahhaah, @Namolisso would it be a good choice for a ship like Bismark then, if you like to tank? You know close quarters, lotsa counter-fire, danger of torps and always on fire type of thing?

Yeah, did not wanna be one of those, so that's why I decided to ask...

I'd hate to be that lone Hipper tho... And this is likely to happen, since a) I own a Hipper b) I currently play Cruiser. This is precisely, why while I like to play DD when server has a low population, I avoid low volume times if trying to play Cruiser...

I have admittedly paid and got myself a Musashi (needed a tier 9 BB anyways) but if it's any consolation it is highly unlikely that I will be winning much. I suck at BB's and play them very rarely, hehehe. So no worries there lads.

It may be a bit late to ask this but... WHAT THE HECK DOES "META" MEAN ANYWAYS? Pardon my ignorance, of course...

Yeah @Exocet6951, but I do think it would make sense to have at the least 1 other BB line, which would have the possibility of a somewhat viable secondary build, just for competition's sake you know and also... More options there are to try the more fun the game right? I really hate it, when there really is only 1 viable build for a ship, that gets boring very fast. )Ok granted, I am fickle, but this IS supposed to be for fun too).

Yeah, @Exocet6951 as a dedicated IJN fan. I did try secondary build on them, as I'd very much prefer tanking to sniping. That did not go well, so now I have given up trying and acquiesced to the inevitable. A pity really but sadly and as much as it pains me to admit it, my otherwise supremely lovable IJN BB's just don't have what it takes to tank. Bismarck on the other hand...

Not so sure about that, my friend. After all, we are at the "Bow-tanking meta" as some have called it (I don't know what the heck "meta" actually means but annyhoot) so rear turrets generally have the combat value of a flower-vase anyways. So unless that changes in some way allowing ships to go more for broadside firing as the main method of combat I do not see how that would be much of a hindrance, as long as the bow turrets work, that is.

Hhehe! @bushwacker001 I did try tanks once too, but hell no. It requires way too fast reflexes for me and in the end I am not too fascinated by tanks anyways. Ships on the other hand are a very different story.

With my luck... I will end up in a game like that with my Mogami as the only non-bb player...
