Heheh! @philjd in my case, it so happened that one day I got drunk and in my stupor started to watch Youtube videos. One of them incidentally contained some advise on how to aim torps and by some even more amazing co-incidence I actually remembered it the following day... Admittedly, I've watched quite a few since with a predictable impact on my gameplay, was so encouraged in fact that I have even bothered to read the available in-game instructions too (voice message hotkeys and stuff).

Naah! @Taliesn But there you're wrong lad. It lasted for almost 300 battles... Until I finally (quite accidentally) found out what something called "Torpedo range", "Torp Aiming" and "Binocular view" actually mean. I'm not kidding. You know, not really the type to read manuals or maps (or to watch educational videos) type of thingy...

Bwahhahahah! Dude, you should have seen me in my earliest Potato Days. Totally nailed 28% winrate. Sadly, I have since somewhat lost my edge in Total Potato Awesomeness.

Well, @22cm it is a good, high speed gunboat with decent Fire chance, and damage. A bit MEH torps tho (rangewise). But then again I mostly play IJN DD's so probably to me ANY gunboat, which doesn't utterly suck would appear pretty awesome.

Heyop @Riselotte , he was talking about HITrate, not the WINrate methinks?

Yeah, there's a wealth of more interesting games around for those who find WoWs too boring. You know: The Farming Simulator, Goat Simulator, Knitting Simulator and Watching Paint Dry Simulator just to name a few. But then again, there are some people, who actually just WANT to be complete di*cks and can't be helped except by a professionally trained psychiatrist and a straight jacket, so there's that.

Of course, I scarcely play BB, because of continuing issues with BB play in general BUT I did test this module for my Yamato in a series of Coop battles and a couple of Randoms too and decided not to take it. Only good for you, if you camp because it slows down the already horrendous turret traverse so much that any targets which are closer that 8km are almost impossible to track (If they are moving or maneuvering at all) and I frequently found that in these cases Yamato becomes virtually a sitting duck and therefore I felt that it severely limits your gameplay options to sniping only, making any attempts at tanking or responding to quickly changing situation at close range extremely difficult. So I took the AA mod instead. Dunnoh, if it is a good idea tho, but Yamato's AA is weak so there's that - Have also considered the Secondary Module instead, just in case I need to attempt tanking occasionally..

3rd of April 2014? Just a guess... -
I agree, had only 1 game on this map so far, but it was a good, fluid and exiting cliffhanger match right to the finish. No-one camped on either side so I had fun. We won in the end but just by a hair's breadth. B and C caps are OK but A is too isolated by the 2 extra-large islands. They should make a few gaps into them, similar to what they did with the B cap on Trap methinks.

Must be the 22,5 km LOL-pen one I got with a Kongo on an unsuspecting QE in the Estuary map during X-mas. First ever successful use of the Spotting Aircraft consumable I can confirm. Has never happened before or since. On the downside, I also got reported for hacking tho - Me who hasn't even figured out how to install a filter into the coffee machine yet. -
@Sargento_YO , @Aotearas Holy Mother of Schkukkelmuugel! WTF Guys?? BUT that gives me an idea... What IF, there was a possibility ot exchange one's "excess"signal to other, preferred signal flags? For example 3:1 exchange ration just like changing duplicates to some collection items.

Perhaps true dat too, but on the other hand. Since there has already been talk that they will redo both the Captain skills and also the modules, so the earlier, the better I reckon. If they are going to do something like that anyway it would make sense to get it done it sooner rather than procrastinate, because it is not going to get any easier, rather the other way around.

I once dodged 2 Shimas and 1 TRB Yugumo's simultaneously incoming torps, when they surrounded me in the C cap on Trap-map (OK, I admit I was stupid to even attempt it but hey, it kinda worked!) even managed to cap it for a second or 2 and torp 1 of them myself before they got reinforcements and ingloriously fleeing the scene of the crime. The point being... I should have been dead for sure, I was in a Mogami, never spotted even 1 of the buggers BUT it turns out pissing your pants really DOES give you wings!!! YAY!

Awesome @Ew_ !

10 more Zulu? Oh well, might as well. I only have 351 of them already (don't even ask, my containers have had nothing BUT Zulus in them for a month...) THAANKS!

Yeah @SHDRKN4792, I agree. Basically the entire Concealment module is unnecessary and perverts the outcome even more, when its effect is cumulative with the CE skill. It would be best, if DD were to have just a straight forward base concealment of maybe 5-8km for example (just examples here to illustrate the point, do bnot get stuck on details guys), then perhaps 9-13km for Cruisers (including Moskva) and CV with 14km and over for all BB's. If a player then decides to take CE skill anyway, with either a universal 10% effect or staggered 10-8-6 distribution (either is fine for me), it would result in the said ship being stealthier, BUT not over its general class boundaries. Which would not be game breaking and would allow the smaller and more fragile ships to use their better concealment to their advantage. After all BB's have nearly every other advantage already (firepower, range, armor, multiple heals) so what else is there? Of course and this has been proposed before CA could also get a universal heal, across all tiers. It does not need the be the same amount than BB heal, perhaps only 2 charges base value, but anyway.

Well, It would be easier to have just one adjusted base concealment value for each ship. The best base value for DD, then CL, then CA and CV with the BB's last. CE skill, if retained could just be a universal 10% for all or perhaps 10% for DD, and CL, 8% for CV and CA and 6% for BB. Right now reverse is the case, which is quite perverse actually (bad pun intended).

I voted "Don't care about the Aigle" BUT that is only because I cheated and bought her already Bwahahaha! I'll just do the missions for a bit of fun on the side... Good ship BTW.
-
Pffth dude... That is no guarantee. I have well over 10.000 games and I still can't aim for s*hit... OR perhaps you are just aiming at the wrong spot? Try the Command Bridge windows or some such... Or, since it is Danae which has less armor than my Granny's nappy... Use HE instead of AP?
-
Yeah @Exocet6951, the CE skill as it stands currently is quite a*ssbackwards. The best stealth bonuses should, of course go to SMALLER ships and not the biggest (you know, because they are easier to hide). That kinda thing just screws the entire gameplay over. The Concealment System Modification aka. Klingon Cloaking Device should be removed from the game all-together pretty much for the same reason.

Weel, brother @Negativvv not entirely Free-xp'd. I do have some 800 BB games behind me, so I ground it up to Nagatou and THEN free-xp'd to Yamato, hehehe. But the main point is, I did extremely badly in BB's it is just too slow and large a target (I lack the necessary patience so this is my bad entirely) and I keep finding that the most effective rage 10-15km, which mostly seems OK is also the range, where you get citadelled easily (not sure but IJN ships seem to be very vulnerable). So I decided to go for DD's and Cruisers first instead and I have pretty much dropped BB play for the time being (Kongo being the 1 exception which I still play regularly and yeah Mikasa, but that is another story entirely). Still, I do try to keep taps on what happens with the BB's tho and the news seems overwhelmingly to point at sniping being a thing (and I see it all the time too). Personally, I believe, that WG should change the citadelling mechanics so that BB's are able to show full broadsides more freely and use all their guns most of the time and not only occasionally (this should be the BB "meta" as some would say it). Citadelling should still be possible, but mostly from the front and back angles and not the side (regular pens from the side are just fine), as the strongest armor usually is located on the ship sides (deck and bow armor is usually weak so it makes sense that penetrations would happen mainly there). Main caliber bounces should only be possible, if the shot hits the belt armor. CA's also have armored belts so no worries there, they could survive the change and probably even improve their survival chances somewhat. This should discourage bow-on camping at the least and Cruisers, who remember to weave would be rather unaffected anyways. It would also have the desired effect of protecting BB's better in medium ranges (encouraging BB players to play that way more often) and making them easier to citadel (plunging fire) at long ranges = Immediate end to camping will likely result.

Cannot deny any of that either. Too few games in a BB to say much about anything. My opinion is solely based on what others have said and my own observations on what actually tends to happen during matches. That said, I do take the Kongo out every now and then, as it is quite a fun-to-play ship and I just play her like a super-sized Cruiser most times. Sometimes the results are quite good though she takes damage easily. Especially, since I try to play at around 10-13km ranges (or else I cannot hit sh*t). I do have Fuso, Nagato, Musashi and Yamato too but sadly they still spend most of their time in the docks. One day... I promise.

True dat and not only by other BB. I quite accidentally citadelled one this weekend with a Furutaka at 12km range. Came as quite a shock and surprise to both of us to be sure, though I daresay the feller on the other side did not share my LoL's. Though I am currently playing mostly Cruiser, I also have IJN BB's, but have declined to play them much, as the sniping and camping playstyle just does not become me very well (boring), waiting for things to improve before I give it a bash.
