Try to search in your wows folder for an xml file named preferences.xml ( not quite sure about the name though). Several settings are in it.

If BB give so much cash, then why give the T8 for free, let people grind for it ... And apart from line splits, we don't get free T8 ships save Bismarck and now Richelieu. I must say that I'm fed up with typical noob bismarck players sniping from red lines, I don't want to see Richelieu reversing for bow tanking all game long ...

Why on earth does WG only do this kind of things for battleship lines ???

Don't forget that you can use gold from WoT or WoWP to buy premium account, which makes you get more XP (and so free XP) and credits.

I'm going to be less pessimist than other posters. It is not impossible but it is highly unlikely : collaboration between WG and Seagall is over. Nevertheless, special and legendary commanders are a thing WG wants to develop so if Steven doesn't come back, another commander could arrive for the US ...

WG has divided his marketing offers between regional offices. Each regional office has a bunch of promos and events that he can schedule according to the specifics of the regional calendar : Russia has a holyday for the defense of the nation, EU celebrates Bastille Day, NA goes for Thanksgiving.

The idea of a split could be possible, with the 2 Mogami (155 and 203) occupying the T8 slots. There are some candidates for lower tier (Agano for example at T5 or 6). But I'm not sure that T9 & 10 ships are possibles. So that would be another split line that stops at T8. For the Maya, it could be a nice fit for a T7 premium IJN cruiser, but let's be honest, Anti-air ship is not a role that is really necessary now. You can still post in the suggestion section of the forum, I know you are not the only one who wants Maya in game !!

Well, it's more a matter of personal taste I think. The main point of Hydro sonar is to spot incoming torpedoes and ships in smoke. On the other hand, Def AA helps you kill fast enemy planes and cover your team, but CVs are quite rare. So for german cruisers, Sonar is a good pick because they have a greater range, on the other nations, well it depends ... Japanese cruisers need to be stealthy and their AAA is not great so if there is a CV in game, they are screwed without Def AA as they will take damage and be permanently spotted (I often use Def AA on them to kill catapult fighters and spotter planes too). French cruisers have good AA weaponry but they are often far from the front line, closer to BBs so Def AA is useful to protect your teammates and sonar has little use. US & USSR cruisers have a good AAA and radar at higher tier (allowing them to deal with the spot hidden ships), so for them it is just a matter of personal preference, both can be used.

Do you know that WG already said that they will try to put russian BB line before the end of the year, or the very beginning of next year ?

The problem is that at the current time, any consumable is more interesting than Speed Boost on a BB, so that would very soon mean that Speed Boost is not the gimmick of the line ...

I personnaly won't be angry to see that for once, WG plays smart and doesn't release a DD that everyone who could put a hand on it called overpowered.

I can't understand how WG could tell us months ago that 2x6 TB was broken on US CVs and give Midway back its 2 TB squads. Wgen I first saw it, I thought WG would give Midway the 2x5 TB with the W pattern of the Enterprise, which seems much more balanced. Anyway, most of the CV players (good or bad) have switched from Hakuryu to Midway to abuse its OPness, as you can expect of any multiplater game. We can only hope that WG attempt to rework CV gameplay will work ( I know, I'm a hopeless optimist) and that it will bring some better balance the 2 branches and the premiums ...

That's why we need a ELO score system like in Clan Battles : you win, you gain points, if you lose, your score goes down. Use several leagues to split the players accordingly to their current level.

I don't play much RB but I made up to rank 11, something I do at almost every season to collect flags. I agree on some points with the OP : RB are frustrating sometimes, the star system is pushing some players to try to avoid losing their star rather than fighting to win. Maybe a system similar to the leagues of Clan Battles would work better. On the other hand, I would like to underline that some things are good : the maps are way better than in the first seasons, in a way that they push the players to play in a small battlefield near the caps, instead of the snipe feast from red line that we saw earlier. Nevertheless, I think that RBs are heavily influenced by the tier played. T7 is full of unbalanced premiums, T8 is too BB-focused. The only RB that were really fun and balanced were at T6 !!

I got one yesterday and realized you can't use them now to buy time-limited offers. Too bad for you WG. I would habe used it to get Roma, maybe even an admiral's bundle, but now it won't be used ...

At the current, WG said that tjey can't make work turret mounted catapults. They needed to change their code so that AA guns mounted on turret can work so I guess they need to do something alike for catapults. The real question is the priority given to this task in tjeir development planning ...

Roma has 9 guns. I was speaking of Bismarck & Tirpitz who have 8 guns just like Gascogne (and Richelieu).

I don't understand why WG gave Gascogne a 30 sec reload when other BB at T8 armed with 380 mm guns have 26 seconds ...
