Yamato RIP. Forget this junk its pathetic. Big fat elephant in the water

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) Very relevant to opening post. But quick, better protect dem snowflake priviledges by calling everyone toxic and saying that everyone's opinion matters, despite this particular one breaking the rules you yourself listed. Pure memes. -

Exocet6951 replied to Goktsu's topic in General Discussion
Ah yes, the OP clearly made a well constructed argument why the Yamato is clearly lacking, such as : "be turned into BBQ as soon as the enemy uses HE" ...Too bad the Yamato is the second most resistant BB to HE at T10 "worst maneuverability"...too bad it has the tightest turn radius All the funnier is that last point is brought up twice, yet the Yammie is the best at turning. If you're going to go off on a rant how X ship is trash, at least have the decency to not be completely wrong on two facts, and use a subjective view (turrets not fast enough for him) as a third argument. But hey, if you're going to let any snowflake make false rant and have his opinions valued.... Nikolai is literally the worst BB in the game, it has the worst armor with the worst sigma and has the worst WR. Its guns look impressive but they're a hassle, also it's super weak to HE. If you try to tell me I'm wrong, you're cyberbullying me. And funny you bring up the adult thing, because in the real adult world, stupid ****ing rants made up of 66% wrong facts and 33% opinion are shot down immediately. Only in snowflake safespaces are things like that tolerated. -

Again, just to clarify, I don't deny that the amount of BB has gone up, but I'm talking about the individual's firepower. I would agree that there are more and bigger guns per match, the numbers line up. But to me, that's a result of BBs getting faster with consistently more range while keeping generally similar firepower as before. After that, everything cascaded. Essentially, we agree completely on the premise that BBs can apply their firepower too freely, and that caused cruisers to flee and increase of firepower as well. -

I fear I may have made myself unclear. As far as an individual's gunpower goes, everything is as lethal as ever. Apart from the idiotic Lyon, nothing has really rocked the boat. What changed for BBs is the ship itself. The ability to project that power further and move to project it faster. Increase in gunpower hasn't changed, but the ability to apply it definitely has, and it's what's perverted the cruiser's role and has had obvious effects on DDs as well. -

I remember making a sport out of breaking Konigsberg engines out in the open Everything is as lethal as ever, only now, fast battleships with 20km range appear as soon as you hit T6, instead of T8 Before, it was much easier as a cruiser or DD to avoid the 20-24 knot lumbering BB from T4 to T7, and after that you had the range and maneuverability to deal with the T8-T10 fast but clumsy BBs. But now, those things project a circle of influence that's too goddamn huge. BBs got too fast too quickly with too much range, and that cascaded into cruisers turning into either long range potato spam, or smoke/island huggers. I bring the example out a lot, but the German cruiser branch is the PERFECT example. I'll remind everyone that it was made to be an AP focused branch made to be rather brawly after the Nurnberg. As of today, it's a premier long range HE spam branch. I rarely see Hindenburgers and Hippers closer than 15km. Reduce cruiser and BB main gun range, reduce BB speed because it's getting goddamn ridiculous, make BBs take citpens again. Maybe then we'll see less terribad camping matches. -

830m is the max turn radius. When you slow down to a hair above 1/2th speed, you cut that number down quite a bit. Guess how much German BBs slow down in a full rudder turn? That's 6 seconds to slam the rudder to one side. Good enough to torpedo beat. Oh, and it's only 10% longer than a Myoko (20m) During the 6.5s it takes for the rudder to shift, the ship is still turning. And quite well, even at half rudder. And mind you, that's the base rudder shift, which you can decrease with the module down to 10.7s. That's only 1s more for 90 degree rudder shift than a T6 cruiser, all while turning tighter and going just as fast. So my point stands very valid. The last 3 branches have tried their hardest to one up'd the previous in turns of maneuverability while most other classes oscillate between above and below the average when it comes down to releases. A BB maneuverability nerf would be the first negative change, either global or in terms of new branches, to hit the server in almost 3 years. It seem that way, yes. Apparently, new players hitting T5 don't enjoy having to deal with more and more potent battleships appearing earlier and earlier in tier. Who would have thought? -

Normandie. 30 knots, 640m turn radius, short and stumpy, 13s base rudder shift. KGV 28 knots, 790m turn radius (10m more than a Myoko), 12s upgraded rudder shift Gneisenau 32 knots, 830m max turn radius that drops dramatically thanks to the speed bleed, 12s base rudder shift In fact, fast battleships that go over 24 knots which used to only be present above T7 are now found at T6. At the same time, T9 and 10 BBs are getting faster and faster, with tighter and tighter turn radii That was in 2016, and right after an uber buff to their turn radius and rudder shift. Oddly enough, the first part was forgotten and the nerf that added 2-3 seconds of rudder shift (ie, 1-1.5 seconds more to turn to one side) was remembered. Funny how that works... -

Again? When was the last time BB maneuverability was nerfed? If anything, BBs are increasingly good in maneuverability. German BBs started a trend of high visible stats but ridiculously advantageous soft stats that make them great at maneuvering, RN BBs that have tight turn radius, and now FR BBs with either dreadnought turn circle going 27+knots, or having 30knot top speed with speed boost. Meanwhile... German DDs turn rather poorly and aren't exactly speed freaks Japanese 2nd DD branch is awful at maneuvering, worse than cruisers at times RN CLs simply refuse to stop RU DDs go fast but don't like turning The Buffalo doesn't like turning either German CAs have rusted rudder mechanisms In fact, the only all around good and without massive downside (looking at you RN CLs) maneuverable cruiser and DD branch we have had are FR cruisers and T7+ PA DDs. Oh but on some cruisers, you can now switch concealment for more rudder shift ! So....BB maneuverable nerfed again? They're the only class that have been getting progressively better over time, to the point where the most maneuverable BBs are on par with the worse maneuvering cruisers. Last time, they had a MASSIVE global buff to everything, then a patch later, a few more seconds of rudder shift. This was obviously received as a net nerf for the poor BBs victim of WG's undying hatred for the class. -

Hmm... Leo "Apollo11" Quite frankly, that's just another in a long line of band-aid fixes for that branch, which by now is played at the complete opposite of what it was supposed to be. WG needs to stop doing stuff like that and just rethink/rework the entire damn branch. -

All you need to do is look at the German AP focused cruiser branch turnt improved HE cruisers to see that WG is utterly incapable of having long term vision/planning for even something as goddamn fundamental as gunnery. -

At this point, I consider a certain Octave of the Sub kind to be like the Star Wars prequel: every single scene is a meme. Getting close enough to use your weapons in a DD? Overconfident. Implementing a sistership to an existing premium in the regular tree? Unacceptable as we don't like sisterships, but by the way, here's a premium KGV, premium Yamato, premium Z-23, etc... -

I absolutely did NOT say that the Missouri has a 11.2km radar. In fact, I didn't even mention the Missouri in that post. But the fact is, long range radars exists, and game where you're never spotted are extremely rare. When that happens, there's literally no reason for the class you counter to have the possibility to wreck you in a single salvo. Now stop going on idiotic semantics tangents based off of your own imagination rather than what was actually written. -

Yes, how DARE you be spotted by a 11.2km range radar behind a mountain because you got just close enough to the enemy to use any of the weapons at your disposal. Clearly good RPS system at work. Looking forward to BBs being able to be dodecuple citpenned if they're spotted 10km away from a CA and not perfectly angled, because apparently being able to blap your counter is perfectly fine. -

Exocet6951 replied to ClappingLollies's topic in General Discussion
I hope that works... We won a match yesterday almost exclusively because the single salvo I shot at an excellent player in a Z-52 with no more DDs to kill, and who was already wrecking chaos on us killed him from 95% HP. Between that and radaring him myself in a Missouri, I actually felt the need to apologize. -
Then again, can one be given such a prestigious award if he's intentionally trolling?
