The Izyaslav Fantastic little guns, and so many torpedoes if you manage to ambush someone.
-
After weeks of hype, the Dunkie lands with a disappointing *thud* The tears are real.
-
What I read : "I want uncompetitive stock dreadnoughts all the way to tier6 that are completely at the mercy of CVs, just so I can complain about them being underpowered when they're released"
-
So true for the Izyaslav... People kept telling me that it was a bad ship, but 5 rapid fire guns with typically good Russian arc? Sweet baby jesus the Wyoming tears I tasted in this thing... "omg fire again! Izyaslav reported!" "Noob Izyaslav using noob HE spam ! Ur a dd, use torpedoes noob!" No thank you, I'm content setting 3 fires on you, and raking in damage.

What do you have to do to earn XP in this game?
Exocet6951 replied to Frakk01's topic in General Discussion
So, in this thread, a below average player who thinks that a premium account increases range, and didn't know equipment slots were a thing complains about the below average xp he's getting. Christ, this would have been acceptable from a newcomer asking questions, not for an antagonizing and unflexible gentleman. Why is this thread even still alive? Just give up and move on. There's nothing anyone can do to help this poor soul. -
OP uses his Tirpitz to **** on CAs from 18km away = no problem OP gets hit by a couple of laughably weak aerial torpedoes, causing 5k damage each, tops = mega QQ CV NERF NAO ! Did we travel back in time to open beta? PS: the highest WR of any CV on the EU server is 52%, and on average, they're on 47-48%, Midway being at 43%. By comparison, BBs are on average at just above 50%

What piqued my interest the most was seeing the Akizuki at 24400 hp WG pls Gib

Saipan needs a buff, or AA needs a global nerf T6+
Exocet6951 replied to KillSlim's topic in Aircraft Carriers
How 2 win ranked battles with a Saipan : Use your planes to spot the enemy DD, send your DBs to basically one-shoot them, then your team gets a 90% chance to win. Ever single game in a Kiev / Blyska when there was a Saipan ended the same way. Even if you pop smoke, all you did was survive for an extra minute and a half. lvl 15+ captain in a Saipan in tier 7 MM max is just carnage. Those 1000lbs bombs simply do not give a **** -
t10 games are sub-par compared to lower tiers - issues
Exocet6951 replied to viceadmiral123's topic in General Discussion
And I'm sure sitting behind a rock 20km away shooting every 30 seconds is fun for some people, but overall, people play non-strategy wargames for action, not glorified point-and-click adventure games. -

Exocet6951 replied to viceadmiral123's topic in General Discussion
The truth has been spoken. If I have a choice between hopping in an Ibuki and slinging HE from 17km away, or sailing out in a ridiculously fun tier5 cruiser or a Kongo, or even a low tier DD, I'll take the latter(s). It's not sealclubbing, it's called having fun in a game. And it doesn't get any more fun than being in a Derpski spamming 10 torpedoes every 20 seconds on a tiny map with islands everywhere. -
Look what I just found [3rd unit of the Admiral Hipper Class Heavy Cruisers]
Exocet6951 replied to Comrad_StaIin's topic in Cruisers
"A" H-bomb? It took two ! And even then, it took her months to sink from the leak the second bomb caused, which the USN couldn't be bothered to repair. Prinz Eugen OP as **** But seriously, I already have the Hipper, I don't see the point in an almost exact copy, even if it has a repair party (potentially) I just squint my eyes while playing the Hipper and pretend she's the Prinz ! -
Indeed, not matter how counter-intuitive it is, especially given the fact that there's a delay between the time the guns start firing, and the animation/sound starts playing.
-
So that's why my reserve is always maxed out... Gee, how nice would it be to have an equipment depot and captain management tab to better see information like this...

Atlanta syndrome strikes again !
-
Look at it this way, if your national monument was a huge punching bag for other ships because it kept its historical form, you'd be the first one calling WG nationalist, German-haters. It's a game, not a damn memorial. Get a grip.
-
That awkward moment bots play better than a lot of human Yammies and Monties in game. And I use the term "human" very loosely.
-
100% guarantee that if original WWI stock German BB hulls were added, the people on this thread asking for historical accuracy would call the ships in question a disgrace to the German navy, Russian bias, ask for buffs, and say of Wargaming that they're greedy and making artifical paywalls. Because nothing says fun like having a BB with 4 machineguns as AA, an 18 knot top speed, and ridiculously bad FCS.
-
There's no way Tirpitz has 56 AA rating.
Exocet6951 replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in General Discussion
Fun fact, German AA is stupid. Trying to boost the range with AFT and things like that is acknowledging that the 20 and 37mm guns exist, which is a dire mistake. They're firework displays. Your strength comes from the 105mm guns. Get manual control for twice the DPS, and watch the planes fall out of the sky. If I could shoot down tier7 and 8 planes with the Yorck relatively reliably, then you can do it too, especially since you have twice the guns. -
Salvo fire button instead of double click
Exocet6951 replied to WhiskeyWolf's topic in General Discussion
To respond to the macro discussion, macros are only banned if they're automatic scripts to perform actions instantly. As such, a mouse macro where "click button 4" = "double click" commands are fine. But a running script where "ship is on fire" = "activate repair party" is not. It's much less of an issue on WoWS, because there really isn't any situation where an instant and automatic click of a button is intrinsically better than normal human reflexes (a fire while you're at 1hp will do at least one tick of damage, at least in my experience, so even then an auto macro isn't worth it). But the point stands. -
I found it rather fun, up until the moment where I was an IJN cruiser and had the choice between taking torps or going broadside to a fort at close range. Oh boy do I regret not having eaten 2-3 torps...
-
PT boats in game would be basically impossible to balance. Either complete garbage, or ridiculously overbuffed and overpowered all while being frustrating to play garbage.
-
Except that bots don't react the same way as players. They're WAY more predictable, and tend to give nice broadside/not give a single **** about obvious 6km torpedo salvoes. So no, playing PvE and telling people how to play PvP is not a good idea. Especially not when it's suggesting to go up close and personnal with a Yorck. You only do that when you want to get a fight over with, or when you're confronted with a rapid fire HE spammer that can simply avoid your catapult shells at long range. Anything else and you're just going for a DPM brawl, in which you're going to come out a loser, or you're just praying for citadel overpens.

German BBs+ tier 6 premium French BB Dunkerque stats in 0.5.9
Exocet6951 replied to Darth_Glorious's topic in Battleships
Probably being worked on by the B team, to be released on the Chinese server only. -
Rank 10 of the 4th season :| Ladies and gentlemen, he was the person in ranked battles doing 20k average damage who you had to carry to victory in every match. Atago weak...seriously, the moment it got repair party was the moment it dethroned both the Kutuzov and the Hipper as the best, most versatile tier8 CA/CL

The salt emanating from RN fanboys is enough to raise ship wrecks from the ocean floor through sheer salinity.
