Reduce AA on BalanceBoats, give the CVs a nice stimulus package. At the same time, rework AS setups in relations to MM. In a 4 CV battle (especially at low tier), having 2 AS on one side and 2 strike on the other means none of the CV players do anything meaningful in the battle. AS setups should be no more than 50% fighters. In the case of odd-numbered squadron CVs, have AS setup allow CVs to have better, higher tier fighters. (might need tweaking from tier4-6) Remove strafe. Seriously, it's fun the first few times, but then you realize how bull**** it is. Replace it to be a debuff or something. EDIT: If necessary, nerf some of the damage potential so a CV strike is less an instant-nuke, with more reliable and spaced out damage during the course of a battle. => More CVs to break the bow camping/blue line sniping => More CAs in game to counter the threat = less BBs per match => Slightly less DDs in queue means better distribution, no more 1 DD match followed by a 5 DD match => Less frustration for CVs when they face an AS CV, which would no longer be an automatic "you will not play this match", and give AS players a more involved role in the battle. Wrap that all in a neat little bow, send it in supertesting then in a selectif, long duration public test, and see the results.

In all fairness, WR means nothing until you've reached a certain amount of battles.

Really? Last match, I saw 4 BBs claiming "we take B and C", then all stop behind the closest island as soon as the first enemy was spotted. The one before that, I saw a pair of sniping Scharnhosts, still 100% and max range after 12 minutes and 7 dead on our team.

The problem with asking the playerbase for input is that 45% of it is populated by idiots, 45% by biased idiots, and 10% (optimistic number) by people genuinely concerned for balance and good gameplay.

Because a Zao has much less trouble in the current meta, and the DM is just so different from anything else in game, you can't use it as experience for playing cruisers in a high tier matches, and especially not tier7-9 cruisers that also have to regurarily deal with tier8-10 BBs. And please, do negate my playing experience at tier10 because I only have an Ibuki, that sees tierX matches "only" half the time. The fact is that you are seeing high tier matches only in 2 ways : the high tier BB, and the tierX CA, one of which being able to deal with the bow on camping meta, the other being able to hide behind an island and burn people to a crisp. You're not seeing it as a DD that has to torpedo a bunch of targets camping all the way at the back, nor as a lower tier CA that can't invisi-fire. Anything that gets BBs to move is a step in the right direction. If that involves nerfing the armor that lets them park next to an island and lolbounce basically every real threat to them, so be it. I'd rather fight a BB on the blue line that has to turn once in a while rather than one that's basically invulnerable to anything but invisi-HE spam.

You should play other ships than BBs and free xp'd Zao and DM to get in touch with the real issue. As soon as I get in a tier9-10 match with my tier7-9s, I witness the same thing : half the enemy BBs sit and snipe, the CAs sit back because wtf do you expect them to do? The very few DDs left are either a Khaba sailing around pew pew'ing what it can, and an invisible Fletcher having a field day with its non-nerfed torpedoes, completely un-perturbed by the lone tier8 CV in 1 out of 3 matches that's no match for defensive fire. Then indeed, there is the occasional Tirpitz or NC that just gives up and goes bow on full steam ahead into a cap zone, [edited]"FU MM AND WG!!!". Sometimes others follow. That's the only shred of movement in those matches. You could make repairs free and remove CVs and DDs, and it wouldn't change.

Bow camping BB = no other way for them to receive damage other than stealth firing CAs (or Yammy lolpen)And it's not like you can say "just go somewhere else!" when literally your only options are to shoot at other CAs at 15km+, invisible DDs trying to sneak in a torpedo, or sniping BBs. I was JUST NOW in a match one shot by a Yammy+Kurfurst because I had the audacity to be 15km away rather than the usual 18. 4 hits total killed me. So much fun. Stealth firing is the only reason you still see CAs in tier9 and 10 matches. Remove that, and all you would get would be the occasional Moskva.

It's a terrible game mechanic, but it's the only viable one for basically every cruiser and DD capable of doing so. And I wonder why... Could it be bow camping BBs being the problem? Those same that got WG to wreck CVs, torpedo DDs, and forced CAs to either stealth HE spam, or sit behind islands to fire above them ? I'd love getting closer and using AP on my non-German cruisers, but currently, it's simply suicide.

Because destroying a CARRIER on fire with 1k hp and no more planes so it doesn't "fire back" with 5km range secondaries for a split second on...well nothing because it doesn't have the range with a weapon that requires a good 2 minutes to "reload" is MUCH more important than targetting at a Tirpitz that's actually a threat to allies, which you could kill with your 2 TBs, right? There are circumstances to kill stealing, saying otherwise is just being obtuse.

I disagree. If you're a top tier CV, and you use both your TBs to sink a plane-less 1k hp CV on a fire with an Ibuki firing at it from 8km trying to finish off his kill, already on his fourth kill after doing to role of DD, CA, CL and BB all at once, rather than using those planes to destroy the remaining ships that are actually a threat to the team and to the victory, then yes, you are stealing a kill and being extremely stupid at the same time. Yup, pretty salty about that, and absolutely no tactical way to justify it.

CVs can't really be team players for the simple reason that for every moment its fighters are flying around defending the poor helpless BB (*cough*), their TBs and DBs are defenseless. So here's what a CV currently has to do : Damage enemy BBs with their ridiculously good AA Scout DDs, which may be high tier USN DDs that can be an actual threat to the planes Dodge enemy fighters Intercept enemy bombers Kill enemy DDs trying to kill him Keep an eye on the map, for when the side he's on inevitably cowers away behind him Here's what you want them to do some more : hover around people with enough AA to defend themselves, and who could simply not isolate themselves 10km behind everyone else.

Because the NO is damn well armored with good turret angles, making it damn strong against the Hipper. All you can do against that is hope the NO is dumb enough to get within torpedo range, or just retreat. OT: the Yorck to me is like one of those bad movies you shouldn't take seriously. Everytime you fire AP , you just have to imagine that you're the German space program trying to launch a satellite.

I hate when people just say that, because they could be in a match with 2 tierXs TOTAL (and DDs, at that) with almost exclusively tier8 ships, and instantly complain they're bottom tier and "FU MM" Also, NO has decent armor, good AA, decent guns, and even a radar. It's enough to give even a tier9 cruiser a run for its money, make CVs think twice, and make every DD in the game nervous. Though to be fair, you'll be bored out of your mind doing it, because lol NO.

In my case, 5 ships going 25knot max leaving the cap to kill a lone enemy DD capping our base, and predicatbly losing, despite me begging them to stay in the cap.I went through every phase : Asking nicely Talking tactics Trying to reason with them on the mathematical impossibility of them reaching the cap zone Telling them harshly to stay in the cap Getting pissed Pleading them to turn around In the end, I still lost what would have been one of the best matches I've ever done.

Stealth HE below tier 7 doesn't exist, and at tier8, is limited to a few DDs.Stealth torping is avoided using WASD.exe, and limited to only IJN DDs(with their easily visible torpedoes) all the way up to tier7. BBs are still the best performing class in the game. But apparently still too challenging for some, it would see. Better nerf DDs some more.

Probably because the average RU CA/CL player can use the excuse "I'm fragile and I can't turn" as an excuse to spam HE at 17km away. I swear, 80% of the time I see an RU cruiser, it's even further than BBs.
