  1. Well in my books, HUGELY buffing their maneuverability in one patch, then increasing the rudder shift time (still lower than initially) the next is still a buff on the whole. These are the times BBs were nerfed : => global AA change so 20-25mm guns are worse off => rudder shift time increase (after a huge buff to it in a previous patch I might add) These are the times BBs were buffed: => HE shells nerfed => Armor refined, with overmatching, bouncing, etc... => Maneuverability super buff => Torpedo nerfs => Torpedo nerfs => more IJN DD nerfs => CV nerfs => AP normalization change that, surprise surprise, ends up being disfavorable to 203mm AP-based cruisers => Multiple AA buffs on a selection of BBs Obviously there is absolutely no justification in claiming shenanigans. Everything balanced here! Let's take the strongest class, and keep nerfing everything else, I'm sure that won't do anything bad to the MM queue and battle line ups. /sarcasm
  2. Considering most BBs under tier9 have a better turn radius than cruisers, I think a change is more than justified. Say what you will, but I'm tired of seeing BBs spot torpedoes from extremely far away, then pile on the magical water brakes, and turn so fast they dodge basically everything. I just came out of a match in a Tirpitz where both a Benson and Hatsuharu shot me with torpedoes, my supposedly hardcounter, for a good 5 minutes, and I danced around spotting the torpedoes alone and dodging all of them, despite them coming at a criss-cross.     Same observation, my good loading times are back. Maybe not as good as before, sometimes I still start with only 4 seconds before the start rather than 15 seconds minimum when the file compression patch came out, but this is still fine.

    Pray tell what colorful institute taught you that two objects, both with different speeds, and taking different trajectories, with one slower shell taking a longer route, yet fired at the same time can land at the same place at the same time. Even if you implement it in game, you would have to manually move your cursor to the left or right to adjust for the difference in timing, because the cursor only points each turret at the aimed point, and elevates the guns accordingly. Surely your highly advanced academically trained brain can understand that?

    Well for one, AP and HE shells don't necessarily have the same ballistics. On more than a few ships, aiming would basically be a choice between hitting with AP shells, or with HE shells, not both. Secondly, subs weren't included because playing a 20knot ship with no armor and only fixed torpedo tube in very humble quantities, which goes done to a MAXIMUM of 12knots for the best of the best late war subs would be incredibly dull. Your request appears to be very poorly thought out in the measure that this is a game.

    I know right? I kid you not, an enemy Mutsuki accused me of aim hacking because I had the nerve of hitting him while he was moving in a straight line parallel to me at the humongous distance of 5 kilometers. It's hardly an achievement, even with a NM.

    I liked the capping to two BBs, it made them valuable.They could have done the same to DDs, to not make a Byska-spam like last seaon. Instead, this is random battles fast forwarded to 6 minutes in, when half your cruisers and DDs are dead already.

    How lucky... My four battles currently have been 4 to 5 BBs per side matches, just like random battles, only without the DDs to pad out the team. It's hellish.

    So, you have no experience in the matter? Got it. All of this is typically British whining. You completely ignore all your strengths, or downplay them, then whine that your vehicles aren't as good so WG must hate the Brits. All the bolded text is either wrong, or exageration, much the same that I can go on the Warspite thread, see all the strengths of the Warspite listed, and half of the posts I will see is that it doesn't have 26 billion km range, so it's trash and WG hates the Brits. In essence, that whining and self-victimizing is the reason why the forums are simply fed up with RN topics, and British vehicles in general.

    What a catastrophicially silly thing to say. Recap: Their mediums/lights(regular MM) have the best penetration and armor from tier2 to 4, with access at tier3 to a one-shot derp gun on a fast medium with a turret that depresses at 10 degrees. How weak. The Cromwell is WIDELY regarded as the best medium tank to have in any competitive event, and outshines even tier6 light tanks in terms of spotting, speed and overall danger. The Comet is better than the other tier7 meds, with similar damage, penetration, but a small, flat, decently armored turret with great gun depression. Centurion mk3 has better turret armor with the standard -10 gun depression, and more penetration than anything else. That thing hulldown kills tier8 and 9 heavies frontally. Same deal with the Cent mk10, only it has the faceroll 105mm L7 with the full 268mm of pen, the only others having that gun are either slow and fragile, or fast with no gun depression. Action X? A solid all rounder. TD? Great RoF and gun handling overall, if you manage to hide, they WILL permatrack and kill any target. Heavies? Churchills are underwhelming, though the Black Prince is an aquired and potent taste., The Conqueror and FV215b outDPM everything in their respective tiers. Saying that Brit tanks are weak is admitting that you can't play anything other than extremely forgiving heavy tanks, fast mediums who rely on troll bounces and people missing to survive, and TDs who can just point and click at the glacis of same tier heavies and punch through.

    With the recent radar cooldown, I'd be surprised if we didn't see a huge increase in Chapayev numbers. So that's my guess at tier8. Chapayevs for radar, long range fire and anti DD work Bismarcks for faceroll easy GG stomp Bensons, because benson As for tier6? There are a lot of viable ships, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a mix of everything, and a healthy amount of CVs.

    You mean how the British tanks in WoT are pretty much all solid, with some of them being exceptional for their tier? Cruiser Mksomething at tier3, with a 95mm derp gun on a turret. Conqueror with that year old turret buff making it the best hulldown heavy by far. Centurion mk3 with the 20 pounder in tier8. Crusader which is the only tier5 light tank with the MM of a medium tank, a deadly combination. Hell, even the TDs, while unimpressive at first glance, are absolutely devastating, and that's without even delving into the discussion about the 183mm gun-armed pair of tierX, which while aren't suited for competitive play, are deadly in random battles. Or the British planes in WoWP, which either set the gold standard in what you want from a plane, like all 4 or 5 tiers' worth of Spitfires, or are simply superior to the competition (tierX Javelin heavy fighter, simply the best the the boom and zoom meta. Or hell, even the two current British ships in WoWS, both of them having very strong points that set them apart from the competition. Yeah, the British track record in WG games is soooo horrid.... /sarcasm

    I read that DD's had a 1/4th caliber rule when it comes down to HE though, but I may be wrong... Still though, have you seen some of the current BBs? 50mm armored deck on most German BBs, the Amagi has a 35mm armored deck all over (with a tiny superstructure), USN BBs all get 26mm, Montana is getting buffed to 38mm... And considering that you have to either stay at a distance or be double citpenned, aiming at the sometimes very humble superstructure is just an RNG roll. At least USN ships have the decency to have huge superstructures, and IJN ships tend to have thin decks. But that moment when you see two Bismarcks, a Tirpitz, a Gneinesau and a Colorado in a match (and let's face it, that's the sort of MM we are currently getting), you hae to assume that only 1 in 6 shells when using (most) CLs have a chance of actually dealing damage. The rest is purely fire damage, which is countered by good damage control discipline.

    My problem isn't with the raw damage ability (which, let's be honest, could be toned down on the RU CLs, with that huge fire chance), but the complete idiotic balance choice of implementing armored decks that completely absorb HE damage. And to add insult to injury, there are some armored decks that will take damage from smaller HE shells from DDs, but not from 150-155mm HE shells from CLs. So yes, the long range, high rof, flat arc, high fire chance Russian CLs are still able to do their thing, but come on let's be honest, that German BB branch is basically immune to cruiser HE damage and it's worrying me that some other BBs are being changed in order to have armored decks of their own, like the Montana.

    Crisp loading times with over 30 seconds to spare at the start of the battle with a mid-range (by European standards) computer a few months ago, during the optimization patch that compressed the client files. Noawadays? Randomness. I either load with 10 seconds to spare, or 20 seconds late. It could be the same map twice in a row, with basically the same ships in the battle ( [insert joke about the current meta] ), and the loading times will still be drastically different.

    Ah but you see, that's my point.20 fires to do that sort of damage, which can be repair under the right circumstances. I don't doubt the ship's fire starting, I've broken the 100k damage with it on multiple occasions, but seriously, hitting a target literally dozens of times and doing 0 damage is ridiculous. As soon as you see German BBs, or a selection of oddly well armored IJN or USN BBs, you know that all you can aim at is that superstructure, which is in some cases tiny, that will be too damaged quite fast and mitigate all the damage. It's gotten to a point where the match following the one I mentioned, I took out the Kiev and had a field day on an Amagi, dealing 800-2000 damage per salvo, where I was basically doing 0 damage hits with the Shchors. Currently, I'd rather have 127-130mm guns than 152s, because the former have better HE penetration, and are more reliable on armored targets.

    Just had a tier 8 match in my Shchors, I kid you not, I hit three tier8 BBs 40-50 times each, only to deal between 700 and 5000 damage to them in total. Armored decks combined with the 1/6 caliber HE rule are ****ing idiotic.

  24. I very regularily did 0 damage hits with the Ibuki on BBs, though the recent plague of Bismarcks, Gneinesaus and other fun stuff with 40-50mm armored decks don't help much...
