    People acusing me of cheating

I got a lovely message yesterday seeing as I was obviously using aimbots. Everyone knows that a stock NM riding the blue line 7km away is just too difficult to hit.

    crying battleships want everything nerfed

Easily, actually. Terrible DD players are rewarded with terrible xp and credits. Terrible BB players are rewarded with acceptable xp and credits. In one case the player gets frustrated at the ship, in the other, the player gets frustrated at the team. A player frustratred at one specific part of a game tends not to use it as much, as demonstrated by, say, every single game ever starting by Pong. Someone frustrated at the team will see absolutely no problem with his gameplay and keep doing it. Hence why you see infinitely more terrible NC players than terrible Benson players. The unforgiving nature of DDs weed out all but the most stubborn terrible players. It's not emotion, it's roughly 20 years of the same type of observation on basically every game ever.

    crying battleships want everything nerfed

But the thing is, a bad DD player will know he's terrible when he does almost no damage and dies early on. A bad BB player will never learn, since he's almost always the last to die and has time to rack in damage and climb the xp board. Every time a terrible DD player finishes a match and sees himself at the bottom of the scoreboard, the basic human reaction is to think "I was worse" Every time a terrible BB player finishes a match and sees himself on the top half of the scoreboard, despite having been utterly useless and a liability, he will think he did great work and "noob team". So you're right to be more upset at the BB player, because at least the DD will either learn or stop playing. The BBaby will keep playing and in a way, succeeding all the way to tierX.

HE spam is killing the fun

DD AP spam on superstructure that is going on right now, is killing the fun of the game - battleships can't do anything but watch the ship sink after getting hit in the radio room. Battleships stronk. Battleships should into crushings of small, weak, peasant ships.

    The most useless consumable

For the amount of CVs in game, defensive AA fire is just not worth it. Hydro is a great offensive and defensive tool, so there's really little reason not to get it. The little amount of cruisers who have too little armor and agility to actually use it have too little AA for it to actually help, and as soon as you reach tier8, you start having epically good hydro and radar, further sealing the fate of defensive AA. In short, defensive AA is an acceptable choice on the Cleveland, and maybe even the Kirov. The rest have little reason not to use hydro/radar. Torpedo booster is a gamble, spotter plane at times useful such as when you have a stock ship and your range could use some boosting, notably as the starting long range skirmishes when a match starts. Defensive AA is just overshadowed by vastly better skills that complement cruiser's flexibility in offense and defense.

    Economy

Even if on average, this system makes more credits for the player (except in the case of high tier CVs), it's demoralizing to have a match where the enemy pretty much rolls over and dies while you took a gamble and went on the wrong side of the map, and by the time you manage to shoot at the one or two enemies on your side of the map, the match is won and you see a big old negative credit balance. The system would work better as a hybrid. A fixed charge amounting to the reward value of shooting the enemy a few times, with a small added repair cost. That way, as long as you shoot at an enemy or two, take little to no damage and the match ends prematurely, you won't lose credits, no matter if it's a victory or a defeat. The numbers are to be tweaked as to not encourage people max range sniping with the promise of a sliver of income each match as long as they do not die. On the flip side, a match that is won or lost quickly in which the player solo rushes and die without doing anything would punish him with a negative balance.

Just how ridiculous DD's really are, DD's fans i laugh at you

Because that's exactly what they did. The USN had hundreds, HUNDREDS of DDs built, The few BBs they did built were more propaganda and moral weapons than anything. Everyone knows the real hitting power of a a fleet came from carriers.

"I want historical accuracy, but only the one that suits me! I want my only counter to be unrealistic in its use and only go 8 knots when submerged!" QQ more BBaby. You're the one with the most overbuffed class in the game.

Make battleships more resistant against enemy HE shell spam.

Yes that's the point ! For the price of one BB, you can get a CV plus a very beefy escort of a dozen DD, that is flexible enough to do just about everything, from shore bombardment to resupplying submarines. Basically, you can have a BB, which is a glorified catapult that requires babysitting, or you could have a modern fleet capable of handling every conceivable task a navy can be asked to do.
  11. Exocet6951

Make battleships more resistant against enemy HE shell spam.

Well DDs are better. For one, they can do almost everything you listed, and two, they're so cheap, you can get a dozen and have leftover funds for an aircraft carrier.
  12. Exocet6951

Make battleships more resistant against enemy HE shell spam.

No to all those, but do you know what can do that, and from hundreds of kilometers away? Aircraft carriers. For the price of one 50k ton BB, you could get yourself a good-sized CV like the Lexington (24k tons), a treaty cruiser, a torpedo boat tender with dozens of PT boats with sumppliesand still have the funds to get two or three destroyers. And Destroyers were well received because they could field a vast array of good weapons on such a small and cheap plateform. Everything it could not do, like shore bombardment was done by the CV, which it could escort. Battleships were relics in the 40's, and have been overbuffed in this game just to make them viable.

Cruisers are becoming more and more pointless

Ah I see the problem. You think I meant that cruiser as a class suck, and are not versatile. No, that's not what I said. I said that a squishy ship that's outnumbered almost two to one to increasingly independent and infringing on cruiser-like versatility by BBs is the problem. How can someone justify playing as a Hipper, when the Bismarck is almost as fast, has hydro, death-secondaries, harder hitting guns, and can actually get close to the enemy without being instantly popped ? Almost all the Hindenburgs I see spam HE, because of the lack of targets vulnerable to AP at a distance. That's a devastatingly sad observation.

Cruisers are becoming more and more pointless

So I have to take your word for it that you don't stay at max range all match? But hey, I can pull out my out of context stats too ! Zao : average damage of 120k or so, 75% WR, all the fun stuff, and all solo. And my contribution to the matches? Max range burning BBs to pad damage, and shooting DDs while others spot for me. That's not playing cruisers, that's being a glorified incendiary catapult. It's terrible gamelplay, and the only thing we have to blame is the fact that BBs outnumber CAs. And yeah, the Aoba can lob shells behind islands. If I can do it with Russian 152s, you can do it with Japanese 203s.
  15. Exocet6951

Cruisers are becoming more and more pointless

    > plays high tier ships that can invisibly fire or lower tier ships that can fire over islands, and mostly in 2-3 man divisions. "Guys, cruisers are fine, all you have to do is be ever more passive, and have a division mate to use as a shield" Or the closest enemy. Which isn't exactly hard when 4 out of your 5 BBs are heroically defending the spawn point.
  16. Exocet6951

Cruisers are becoming more and more pointless

Play a bit more battles at higer tier, specifically when your cruisers have longer turn radii than tier8 BBs, then we'll talk. Getting hit in a Furutaka at 20km by a potato accuracy Kongo or a NY using the spotter plane is one thing, but getting hits at 20km with an Amagi on a heavy cruiser the size and maneuverability of a Mogami is easy. There's just enough dispersion so that if you lead the target into its turn, you hit. And at that tier and that plunging fire distance, a hit is either an overpen (count your lucky star) or a citpen.
  17. Exocet6951

What is better armor? 400mm or 4x100mm?

It's poorly rendered, because the way it's shown, there are both an inside and outside plate, both being 250mm I think it's just simplifying things, where the outside is 250mm, and the inside is a small splinter shield or something. They didn't take the time to modify it, because it would be a lot of work for something which almost no one sees.
  18. The Shchors. I love its quad turreted fire starter uber velocity guns, and at times I have a great game, doing more damage than I could ever hope for with another tier7 cruiser. Other matches, I curse my tierX BB-long turning radius, being forced to turn my gigantic hull early on to avoid a 22-26km salvo diddling my citadel in inappropriate places, only to then be laser focused by all five enemy BBs, and the lone CV of the match because I have rather poor AA, a turn radius that makes me predictable and unable to dodge either planes or well aimed salvoes. Then I get double citpen'd early on, and struggle to stay alive, pew pew behind an island, get called names, get told that I'm a cruiser and should be ahead over everyone. Yohoho the CL's life for me.
  19. Exocet6951

LMB does not lock gun turret.

Are you assuming people's naturally prefered hand ?
  20. Well you can do that without making the ships downright superior to its competitors in a lot of cases.
  21. All it takes in one match as a CV with tier5 planes in a tier6 battle with 4 Bayerns, 1 NM, and 2 Clevelands to remind you just how pointless CVs are. He's the rundown : Either you find a target with pathetic AA, or you find a target that's lower tier than you and can't cope with the planes, or you kamikaze your squadrons in knowing you'll lose half of them in the vain hope to do 5k damage with each torpedo hit. That's the amazing CV game plan : hit weak lower tiers (generally cruisers as their AA is lacking, and no one takes defensive fire over radar and hydro), hit DDs, or just yolorush something hoping you do damage. Gee, I wonder who cried about CVs, and who's the least susceptible to them now, all things considered...

Kabarovsk is it a DD ?

You could try to use you Khaba as a makeshift torpedo boat, but it's a shame to try to change the king of gunboats into a subpar torpedo boat when you could amplify its ability to harass ships with guns even more. WASD are the movement keys on a qwerty keyboard.
  24. Exocet6951

Kabarovsk is it a DD ?

There is a new module in the sixth upgrade slot, where the concealment module is that gives you an additional -40% to the time it takes for the rudder to turn. That module makes the Khaba have a small rudder shift time, and allows it to change direction quite fast. So you have less range, but you're harder to hit if you can use WASD.
  25. Exocet6951

Kabarovsk is it a DD ?

Use the new -40% to rudder shift module, press A or D, profit. Khaba changed from a long range light cruiser to a tierX Kiev, but even faster. Not exactly a terrible ship.
