    PSA: Santa Containers

ok so when can we expect a confirm or denial of said shortlist presumptions? as Most of the people ins this thread are in the assumption a shortlist does excist. why does WG not confirm nor Deny it. PS i am not asking from an answer from you its a global statement. the damage control while decent does not answer the biggest question if there is or is not a short list in the system?

all they would need to do is confirm the shortlist and show it. as currently alot of people are feeling scammed by the "drop rates" or "short list" quick question do they have a south korean website for World of Warships? as far as i remember they are legally bound to show drop rates in SK. we can check there.

    PSA: Santa Containers

i am sorry to say this but i have to disagree. multiple people have shown on nearly empty secondary accounts that the short list does exists. there is a video of someone who only has a Tirpitz on his secondary account. this person buys a set of 20 crates, big or mega i forgot, firts this person gets a ship in a santa container which is indeed a Makarov. then later in that set a Super container appears which means the user got a Makarov or a Tirpitz again which gets rerolled to a SC. this is part of the reason people say a shortlist exists as the SC comes up instead of a Santa container. All the none short list ships comes in a SC not in a santa container occams razor therefore says a shortlist exists.
  4. i doubt that as they say they will address it with the Devs. We will address the topic of santa crates/Makarov with the devs on Monday. as far as i know we are not the Devs :)

UK 102mm and German 105 MM have faster reload and hydro so might be a better choice. as in London, Devonshire, graf spee and even Perth. Perth might actually be a very good ASW ship. AP and HE shells, Hydro, Smoke and 3 second reload on secondaries. with 5.3 km base range. downside is you must have one. https://eu.wargaming.net/shop/wows/vehicles/7940/

did you check the video about subs starting at the 6:22 mark they actually states that your secondary will work on them but ASW will do major damage to them. so find a tier 6 ship with long range HE secondaries ? prbably suicidal but a posibility best is probably a tier 6 HE accurate ship. which might actually be the nurnberg ?

nah you can hit subs above 8Meters with your main guns. HE works better due to splash daamge. but RN for instance will have to make direct hits. unless there will be special circumstances for RN CL and italian SAP shells. who knows maybe UK CL gets hesh shells or something ? while typing this i found something intrestring. up untill the emerald the UK used common lydite shells. the one we are seeing in game. from the leander class all the way to the minotaur they used SAP shells. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BL_6-inch_Mk_XXIII_naval_gun a bit of a derailing thats true but still the question remains what is the effect of the special shellsof the UK and italy ?

this actually has to be addresseb by @MrConway or @Sehales ? how does RN CL shells work agains Subs ? since they lack the HE to do proximity damage. same for the SAP from italian ships.

and what is fair in this game ? most ships defined as OP by WG was removed in days except the smolensk. i think this batch of cruisers is just a trial to see if this works. also i took some time to go over the tier 6 cruisers and some of them actually seem to be lacking ASW systems in the model. and no mention of it on the wiki but it is also not mentioned in the leander wiki while showing it on the photo. so who knows if nurnberg will get ASW or not.

i think i know i just went through all the cruisers in my port. Nurnberg has a 6 second reload on its main battery and it has 360 turrets so a fast response against surfaced subs. the second fastest is the huanghe with 7 seconds. they both have hydro but no ASW. all ASW ships have a reload between 7.5 and 8.5 seconds.

you are correct as stated on the web page and checked in port nurnberg has no ASW. and cruisers such as VI Dallas, VI Budyonny, VI Leander, and VI Perth, as they are carrying depth charges. the degrasse is a decent option to hunt the DD's that try to attack your subs and its hydro will protect it. as for ASW it pretty much as stated before keep them away from your sub so it can go ham and kill the slower ships

1 get the sub with longest range torps. 2 find a target that has no hydro. 3 fire torps at 4- 8 meters 4 dive to 31 meters and just go away at quarter speed refilling battery. rince and repeat untill win or death ? edit spelling error...

PSA: How to keep your UBoats alive!

yeah i understand that part but ships without hydro like IJN DD's will have to rely on the hydropohine with a max depth of 30 Meters. the crash dive alows you to go to 50 - 80 Meters. that would mean a sub being at 31 Meters can only be detected by the IJN DD at the assured detection range of a sub i am assuming the same 2km range as the other ships. which makes dodging an IJN DD versus an UK or German DD somewhat easier. i doubt a sub will warp from 30 meter depth to 50 meterdepth with the crash dive ability.

Yes i have but if they go in a straight line. The sub version MIGHT follow you depending if you are double pinged or not. sub torps can/might turn toward your new heading a DD torp will never change its heading that is the difference. but i am guessing you have not been hit in the citadel by a sub since it can do that while a DD cannot.
