Im far from active actually, but whatever floats your nastyboat. About 7 battles in 21 days. Ive attempted to gather some basexp to rent the subs again to check out the changes (as I love subs) and thats about it. I cant even get myself to do that much. Im not sure where this salty acid combo you excrete is coming from. As these types of replies seem to indicate the general level of conversation you are capable of instead of commenting on topic content, im sure you wont mind joining the illustrious Gwyn and Angry Admiral on the list of ignored forumites that have self control issues. ^^ Later toots -
Absolutely, and what is even more infuriating is that the game initially had the modeling of naval aviation combat totally nailed down. All it needed was some balancing. And then somehow some incompetent producers and designers that probably should be working for an obscure mobile gacha game, not only ruined carrier gameplay itself, but the actual experience as well! From tactical carrier vs. carrier combat raging overhead to zombie spam machines with little to no actual counter. And then getting into a conversation with a CM seriously argueing that 'carriers can be countered by everything' when talking about rock paper siccors class design. I am going to post my last match here. I can't bring myself to play this POS anymore. The video shows how skill has near zero impact when facing a carrier. And these situations are not exceptional, they are the norm and the core of the carrier rework. The most bizarre and dysfunctional pvp class design I've ever seen in 25 years gaming. It's funny you keep saying this with confidence as if Lesta's producers and designers can be trusted with a task like that when at the same time you have been trying to convince people here the interaction between carriers and everything else is all fine and dandy. Because everything can counter a carrier except it needs very specific conditions to be effective at it but still a counter doh ^^ Good enough = meh whatever according to spreadsheet. -

One match is all it took to show me how crap this game still really is. Ended with me alone being farmed by the enemy carrier sending wave after wave of full squads. He was able to get off all 3 attacks every FF time. Without any risk and losing 7 bombers total in exchange for over 30 K damage on a tier 6. How effing brilliant is that. And this after getting explained by a community manager that 'carriers can be countered by everything'. I simply cant wrap my head around how dysfunctional this all is. One match is all it took to quit in disgust. -

Yes, I specifically bought the Atlanta for that purpose and happily helped teammates with the AA umbrella. It was an awesome cat and mouse situation especially becasue carrier players were pretty formidable back then. But ofcoarse Lesta has basically destroyed the awesome team play machinery in favor of some weird carrier singleplayer mode for dummies in a pvp enviroment. Again, I love airplanes in many other games. The Lesta version: pretty bad, boring, gameplay without meaningful counterplay other then mitigation or crapping on the carrier that sits in a corner at the end of the round or doesnt know how to wasd and still sits in spawn when a flank collapses. That is WG's carrier counter gameplay design in a nutshell.

So what class is the carriers Achilles' heel? What class (or what specific ship out of the hundreds that can't) can seek out a carrier and effectively and reliably win a majority of the engagements sinking it and sending the carrier player to port? Please, say DD's. Because carriers have been the effective counter to DD's for over 2 years until Lesta finally decided to do something about destroyers being shat on by carriers for zero risk.

Dude seriously, I love the subs, but the rental subs in random were broken. They are going to be changed rather extensively to what they are were last few weeks which I applaud. What metrics were you still 'testing' in random after the announcement? Oeh oeh. Question time: Why does WG keep broken subs as rentals in the game for 'testing' when there was a blog post announcing changes to that specific iteration of the subs weeks ago? That blog indicates Lesta has enough testing data to asses they are not suitable for random atmo and should discontinue rental subs until they are changed. Why are these broken versions of the subs still available for rental? I reinstalled around the introduction only to find them horribly broken. So i don't play again. Premium time is ticking away because WG doesn't allow to pause premium for longer periods of absence for whatever reason. This time the reason is Lesta using the main game mode as a test bed for unfinished and broken features. Why can't I pause premium time for that test period? -

Personally: I dont buy it and I don't even play it much anymore. It's not that simple though, because the game's features and mechanics are designed to support the monetization schemes. They got designers on board that design with popularity as their major and decisive metric. One of the tools borrowed from those mobile game design gurus is making gameplay features as simplistic as possible to attrackt the most optimal numbers in popularity while heavily convoluting tokens events and RNG based systems. The gameplay has been seriously affected in a negative way because of it. So yeah, problem. -

Didn't you get the subtle 'arent ready to be released as a silver techtree' as opposed to 'aren't ready to be released in the random'? Because that's the new thing now ^^ Which is why the broken versions are still available as rentals in random, because apparantly subs were totally ready to be released in random weeks ago to never be removed ever again. -
