I live the dream man. I actually killed a T8 CA while being chased by 2 last week. The other one was forced to retreit once I lured him into the fire range of one of my friendlies and he gave up. I survived the encounter, because like I said, good luck hitting me while I kite you. Rofl. I win plenty of gun duels right out in the open trading shots while kiting DD's and even cruiser who are enraged with bloodlust. The difference between me and you is that I actually do, and you're just guessing. Very poorly I might add. I hardly ever just 'flank and torp' as that is a waste of excellent concealment and some pretty good guns. Oh and good luck hitting me when I'm kiting you. Yeah I personally know how well it can work in randoms, as I own one Please, keep spreading false narratives about it. It's quite funny to keep killing tier X DD's that chase me with completre disregard to their own safety because 'Assashio is one trick pony duh'.

At start the mechanics were created to make the game fun and engaging to establish a platform of users to 'service'. Once the platform is big and steady enough (influx > exits), the milking starts. Most current features are all thrown into the game to milk, and milk, and milk. Zero f's given to gameplay enjoyment as we've seen in all the 0.8 updates. There's always a group getting shafted.

That 'fraction' depends on the pricing of it. They can put the ship in the premium shop after the event tokens end, so people who buy the gambling boxes get to play it early, which totally fits their addiction gamer profile as a consumer. Also the boxes contain more then just tokens, and they are usually bought by people who did not complete the grind, so buying the boxes will usually end up costing less then buying the ship later on at full price in the shop. I see no reason not to sell it at a later date. I don't think I would buy it at full price myself.

To earn more money on it. Why not sell it? The lootboxes are already sold when the event tokens end. And WG isn't worried about the quality of the game at all from what I can see

Easy grind for people who liked the kiddie event perhaps. This event was so obnoxiously off target for me that I didn't want to spend any time racing around spamming torpedoes at other racing dd's. I am not going to spend my gametime playing something so obviously stupid that it makes me want to scratch my eyeballs out. The event was truely one of the worst i've seen so far. I play random matches every day, and it was no easy grind at all, I ended up with 366 of the special currency, mainly because i couldn't be arsed as WG dictates me what to play with these type of events. I do have loads of coal and free XP lying about, with nothing to spend it on but BB's and BBcruisers of which I already bought enough and I don't care for them much. And as I don't play clan stuff, steel is off limits for me too. Also, while I like the Benham specs, I've met a few today (duh) and so far they are either not epic, or played by less epic people. I obliterated 2 benhams, a jutland and a nearby Yamato that were camping an objective, in one attack run with my Grozovoi ^^. Team comment: FINALLY A DD WITH IRON BALLS! /end shameless self plug

What I find annoying is that WG decides to put mostly BB's and battlecruisers behind coal and XP walls, and puts something I am actually interested in behind this obnoxious * limited time * horrible event * grind wall that I, as someone who plays almost every day even, have no interest to 'work' for. This event has been off putting in so many ways.

I just had a match today in my Grozovoy, and somehow the Lexington player on our team caught my eye. I usually don't bother to check player stats, but there was something about this player that didn't compute. I opened up the profile. This players has a history of misery and pain straight into our high tier matches. WG why do you hand out a tier 9 premium Georgia after 260 horrible battles total? (328-68), a tier 8 Bismark without any prior german BB experience at all? A Lexington after 12 abysmal Ranger battles? WG WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

Worst event ever hands down.

Sure why not. I found the event with them insanely boring and stupid, but so are the carriers these days, so I don't expect to play them much myself. So yeah, throw em in the game and let me hunt those puppies in destroyers or cruisers, might be fun.

No purchases made so far. Very uninteresting sale.
