I might misunderstand here, but clan vs. clan means you get a group of your clan to fight against a group of another clan head on in a match, right? I do not get the other clan thing concept at all. Does it earn steel? I thought it only earns oil for the clan?

I don't take things personal, no worries. I am 54, a big boy now, so I'm guessing it's not about generations, as far as I'm concerned And I think I need to point this out once more, I am not confused about getting different quantities of rewards or think it's unfair, I am just wondering why rewards are exclusive if it's about mode preference and not difference in time spent in the game like the special ship grinds or skill like in contests.

I get it, I am fine with my choice. I get your point about choice, and I already explained multiple times that I am fine with not getting certain ships. Why is it important to receive unique rewards to you? You keep saying it isn't really much of an effort, or hard even. Why the unique rewards then? On topic, is one of these two ships technically better?

I don't play in an active clan because I do not enjoy the stress of competetive clan battles in my leisure time. Not because of effort. That's entirely way off point for me.

Aren't people in clans 'just playing' in clans? It just a matter of preference, not a skill right? Anyway, I sort of get it, in a vague way. But not really. It seems important because it makes people feel important, because the hard part is putting up with mental stress or planning stress or some sort of unique effort. Because they don't need an exclusive reward for the extra fun right? Edit: let's get back on topic, tnx guys

Why exclusive instead of more though? Let me get one thing straight, I'm fine with not getting these ships. I'll stop continue derailing the topic though, thanks for trying to help me understand.

I don't think it's unfair, I think it's weird. So I think I am missing a point here. I am wondering what makes ranked and clan battles so special that these two need their own unique rewards. What is the extraordinairy effort? Why do you deem a unique reward fair as opposed to just more reward? No I didn't suggest random players should have the same quantity of earnings, just the same type. I am wondering why some modes offer rewards that are excluded from other modes. And why you consider that to be important, or fair, like you brought up previously. So you mention extra effort. Can you educate me on what the extra effort is for clan stuff? I know what it is for ranked, it is to be able to put up with even worse then random . What about clan stuff? What is the extra effort there that requires unique rewards, instead of just more rewards?

But why do you think players need a reward that's exclusive to playing certain modes? Why is that important? And why is it fair, like what unique treat or effort do these players bring that requires a special reward? Sorry for asking but I just do not grasp the concept behind it other then pressuring or luring players into playing something they would normally not do as much without such a bait.

Can you enlighten me as of why you feel it should be restricted to competetive? I don't feel it's a super important issue, but I see no other reason then populating modes that might otherwise be low on population because they are simply not attractive for the majority of the player base.

That would be weird in the current redesign wouldn't it? I think there's a lot of room for improvement on the current CV fighter consumable. But then again there is a lot of room for improvement on the whole carrier redesign.

Sure, all valid points for people that enjoy that stuff. I played exactly 1 match of ranked last season to reach rank 12. That was enough for me. Ranked puts too much strain on my leisure time, so it is not a reliable source of steel for me. I did the snowflake event, got myself the Flint and am very happy with it since the Atlanta got shafted in 0.8.0. but that was a one time thing so not a reliable source of steel either. I am in a dorment clan whose members are only in it for the benefits. But no one plays clan stuff, and I am not interested in playing clan stuff for varied reasons. So again, no source of income. I simply do not understand restrictive designs like this. Earn steel at regular rate for all the cool and hip people who play clan and ranked stuff, earn steel at way lower rates for chumps like me. What's not okay with that?

Probably because it is easy going, not a lot of stress or losses but still get to attack, the fun part. Meh because the damage you do is smoll.

I don't earn any steel because I only play randoms. It's so weird to me that I can't earn steel in random, and only can earn in modes I am not interested in. Why not make it possible to earn steel in randoms, even if it's at a rate 3x less then in ranked or clan battles for example.

Sorry to hear you bumped your head into the wall of idiot proof mobile phone style redesign of the carriers you loved. I agree, they are pretty horrible, both in play style as well as in skill level. The old days of dogfighting above our heads are long gone. Can we interest you in some juicy destroyers perhaps?
