It's so weird. Back in the days, games were designed for smart people.
-
I just started a reset of the IJN dd line, and thus I can say from the bottom of my heart to you fine people in this here thread: TWO CV'S PER MATCH IS STILL FOR LOW TIER TOO. Fix your game already silly gits. End of message. PS:

I was. That's the werid thing. They are X files :o

In that case WG and me don't see eye to eye

I think it's WG telling me they really don't want my monies

Can someone explain what this good man is talking about?
-
Sure, why not. When I'm in a destroyer though, not getting support usually doesn't get me killed within the first 5 minutes, because I won't yolo into a cap unsupported. I might lose caps and a match due to a crap team, but I sure as hell won't sink because of it. You know what I actually witnessed yesterday? A player in a french DD, doing what all noob DD's do wrong: rush to a cap, smoke up, sit broadside in smoke in cap. Except this bloke sat broadside in cap not in smoke because french DD's don't have smoke. He died not even moving while being shot at. Sitting there like he does in all DD's, cuz that's what DD does right?

Soooo, I finished the Aoba and decided to reset more lines, as I am actually having fun. In my last Aoba match I died a not so glorious death being harassed by a CV, which from what I see so far, most seem to have plenty of planes left at round ends. This made me want to reset a CV line. I had more fun in the US CV line, but won't miss the IJN line at all, so I decided to reset the IJN CV ine. Looking at the tree, realising I prefer to play my Assashio over anything in the IJN torp dd line, I reset the IJN torpbote line, which automatically led to resetting the IJN gunbote line, as it shares resources. I have plenty of other nations to reset for season 2 and 3. So, my IJN tech tree looks like this. -
Yes we do

Yeah it may be more then just a few battles to unlock the tier 7 for me. Currently on 12 matches so I'm guessing up to 20 matches including XP for the upgrades, I didn't freeXP to the second hull. 20 isn't bad at all, except the Aoba is a hit and miss ship, not one that can easily carry a bad team.. I remember now how the Aoba was a let down after sailing the Furataka. I recall having the urge to sell the Aoba and buy back the Furatatka back in the days. I do feel a bit overwhelmed when I think about my plan to reset lots more. So far this test line has been fun with 2 out of 6 being MEHBOTES, which is quite a lot for a line that I recall as funsies. I can't phantom doing the IJN BB line for instance. That's been a pain and I'm still at the Izumo. -

@Allied_Winter ROFL at the 19 pnt in Eerie ^^ @Karasu_Hidesuke I took the opportunity to train captains that I never used before, like my solid gold southern dragoon -
Epic commentary on vid.

Watching Twitch stream, torps will be guided by active sonar :P First ping = homing torp with a small ability to adjust course, second ping torp turns into magnetic torp for maximum damage. Active sonar reveals sub location. Also auto spamming depth charges confirmed. EDIT: read the article here: https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/submarines-announcement/

Well I was happily spammed and spammed and spammed by a CV in my french DD at the end of a round, like old times 0.8.0. He threw 3 full spawns, 3 full waves per spawn at me and I shot down 2 planes. All the other damage I did to his planes was magically repaired, endlessly, without the use of consumables. I got killed by a surface ship because 100% spotted you know. I know how to mitigate the rocket spam damage, but fun? Nah still not, and I'm sure the CV was frustrated a surface ship stole his kill because I wasn't an floating easy pinata for him. Stop trying to balance this by plane kills alone. It's been a hopeless road for 6 months already, and someone always gets crapped upon, either the CV's or the majority of the surface ships. Use limited plane repair consumables to balance damage exchange and get rid of the endeless instant plane repair on deck, limit damage exchange and repair for planes like you have been doing for every other class. Stop trying to create a class suitable for idiots. And omg stop creating a second class targetted at the lowest denominator by giving subs 20+ knts speeds under water. Classes have specialized audiences. By creating these 'one fits all including idiots' designs you are ruining your game experience. -

The stats are retained. I actually wanted them to not be, as I'm sure my stats would improve drastically as I am starting tier 1 with loads of experience. -
Will you Reset in The Research Bureau
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Rhineheart_Thor's topic in General Discussion
@hellhound666 The thing is, I'm not 'regrinding to earn a ship', I'm looking for replayability actually. The ship will come as a bonus when I get there. I'm also not going to freeXP my way to it and will certainly not pay with real money to get there, as that is not my goal. I like WOWS, but everything that is not it's core gameplay (the gambling loot, the grinds etc) if find boring and actually bad practice, and WG is getting worse at it, like a junky. They are hooked on their own meth. I'm done with WG trying to twist my arm into playing lazy and badly designed game modes in order to 'earn' a nice Benham. I simply turn off my 'greedy [edited]' and carry on. The early access grinds are absurd to me, but WG actually going after players weaknesses like that I find revolting. Aside form that, I am someone who likes to find opportunity in situations I don't like at first glance. I was appalled by the 'grind whole techtrees to earn a upgrades, and now instead a ship' idea, but when I let go of wanting the ship, the actual idea of resetting tech trees to play through again became quite appealing to me actually. Thing is, I'm borderline bored by WG, and mostly really disgusted by their crack addiction to designing games for gamblers instead of games for gamers. So for me it is a focus on what I love about this game: the awesome ships, the actual surface to surface combat. This way I have plenty to do and rediscover, and can ignore all the shady practices the junky that is WG is throwing up. It's a matter of goals and targets I guess. I'm in resetting the trees to rediscover the fun, and to actually leave behind the grindy . -

I've played through tier 1 to 4 in just a couple of matches. So far I'm enjoying myself, the Kuma was a refound old love, I was sad it only took me 3 matches to grind through her using flags and camouflages for optimal XP winning. I did an extra match for a mission I had. On to the Furutaka, of which I remember getting used to it, but once mastered was big fun :D Guess which ship so far I didn't like -
Homing torpedoes for subs confirmed
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Mad_Dog_Dante's topic in General Discussion
I'm happy that they are taking these things to a seperate enviroment first, however, I'm not convinced taht will actually help randoms in the end looking at their history of pushing things through despite experienced gamers telling them not to. The one thing I really do not like is how the subs have the same speed at surface and at deep level. That's not fun for anyone, not even the subs, it's a cheapo solution i think. -
If you haven't already you should really invest in modules and skills that help prevent this stuff, it's a common DD feature. Also, don't repair broken modules unless they are vital to your current situation.
