I'm not looking to fix the BB and Stalingrad inertia, just to punish them. I don't consider the Smol a fix, but a devil's tool to make sure they regret picking inertia as their choice of entertainment. Why should it not out kite Henries and Zao's? What is that golden standard you keep referring to? Again I'm not saying it can't use some balancing, but not because it ruins the current meta for half the tier X meta heavy ships. I consider that a good thing.

Will Benham be available to the playerbase?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
But are you willing to fork over a gazillion euros like we probably will have to for the Benhamski? -
Nah... BB's and long range radar on ships that are the main cause for the stalemate in the first place, make that a laugable task, unless you camp an island like all the other short range light cruisers, which BB' nuggets usually also complain about. When I Smol, I hardly use smoke offensively, because every veteran knows smoke is good for defense unless late in the match. Whenever I get oneshotted in the Smol, it's only been in smoke so far.
-
Hey, that's a great fix to all range camping BB's and battlecruisers as well, cut everyones range down to 15 km Seriously: you want to 'fix' the one ship that is the bane to range camping BB's and Stalingrads by crippeling it's range so every nugget that is at aiming gets a better chance to oneshot it. Comon man, you're only thinking about how to 'fix' the Smol, but forget to fix everything else.

For all I care: Seriously, I really don't mind if they do. Five battleships per side in 1 match in randoms is already way too much dumb fukkery per team as far as I'm concerned. BB's are the ones causing high tier games to stall, not HE spam. BB's force cruisers to play at range or behind islands, DD's lack proper cruiser support because of that, BB's force eachother to play at range, their presence force competetive teams to pick up Stalingrads, Krelmins, Yamato's, Moscva's, Des Moines and other inetria heavy ships, hence the whole battle is a stalemate, waiting for someone to make a mistake, or by pure long range attrition. It's not the HE spam that causes battles to stall, they were already intert. Does it make it worse? I seriousy do not care either way. I'm actually happy to see people that embrace the stalemate high tier meta getting worked up by a ship that can be deleted in 1 or two well placed salvos.

looks like he commited suicide...how?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Sir_Foxworth's topic in General Discussion
Aaaaawww? That was my favorite thing to do if I got torped in the back by a cruiser trying to sink a 15 km distant enemy with 6 km torps. -
Best: The ship models 2nd best: spamming HE and AP in light cruisers and DD's 3rd best: spamming torpedoes 4th best: understanding why the sea in WOWS is actually salty 5th best: being salty

Seeing these 5 BB's together weren't capable of even killing 1 of the 2 Smolensks I'd say they deserved every ounce of damage that came their way. Smolensks are only OP to 5 BB's if they are collectively incompetent. EDIT: Oh and he killed the 2 enemy Smolensks too rofl. (well almost 2)

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
For your Shima: The best option you have is have AA off and evade. Keep adjusting your plans to where the planes are located. This means you can be constantly interrupted due to the plane speed and irratic behavior of even the worst CV captains, but that's the way it is because, contrary to your beliefs, WG is actually capable of designing a stupid class that sits outside the norm of all other classes: no direct counter to take it out of the match early on and near to invulnourable to fire and flooding. So forget about chasing a CV down, your small Calibre guns will take ages to damage it, and your torpedoes are too easy to evade. It's pointless by design and success will only be down to having a complete idiot enemy CV. -
Remove smoke when guns fire.

Excessive citadel damage for cruiser the cause of bad game dynamic?

Will Benham be available to the playerbase?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
As much as I want the Benham in my port, I will not buy crates for a chance to get it. WG can stuff those in baby cribs, as they seem to have no issue pushing gambling into a rated 7 game. A disgrace. -

I find myself annoyed by this regularly as well. That event abruptly destroyed my interest in any WG event after that obnoxious game mode and grind - i simply refused to participate in that BS. I have Gold, FXP and credits up the butt, coal and research points up the nose, and nothing of interest to spend it on. Put that obnoxious DD up for sale, what the... -
If 1 team loses 2 crucial ships this game gets unbalanced exponentially very quickly. Add to that the rapid influx of low skilled or low experienced players (grind is easy to circumvent) and you have a recipe for disaster: a few bad players grouped in 1 team in crucial ships can easily trow balance off completely, making the match only about postponing the inevitable. This will only get worse over time as the percentage of bad players in higher tiers will grow due to the grind-requiered-only nature of the game design, the forgiving economy XP and credit wise and the multiple ways the marketing side of the game offers circumventing experience all together.

So, my graphics card overheated in the first 30 seconds of this match. Apologies to my team for that. I was sailing towards B when my game crashed and I had to reboot my PC. Apparantly my french destroyer (in a tier X match) troddled into B cap unattended, just about, capped the objective and spotted 5 to 8 ships before it got killed and sunk while I was still AFK. Well done Terrible! Now here is the crux: i ended up almost halfway up the scoreboard. Five players on my team that actually actively played the round scored worse then my crashed AFK french DD. What was even more amazing to me is that I TANKED 430.000 potential damage while sitting dead in the water. Don't you just love our playerbase? Addendum: Being terrible! I found an entire team that did worse then my dead in the water Terrible. This will be my new gold standard of BEING TERRIBLE: 610 base XP -

Italian cruisers are intentionally that bad?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Fede15thPzDiv's topic in General Discussion
I don't think the ITA ships are crap, but I also think I won't sail any of them without an incentive like snowflakes or something. They are just way too cumbersome in every aspect, even when I seem to do perfectly fine in them. -
Italian cruisers are intentionally that bad?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Fede15thPzDiv's topic in General Discussion
Not being deleted in glass cannons is a universal skill I learned in other ships, and it is why so far I didn't have much of the problems with the fragility of Italian cruisers discussed here. The smoke is situational and an occasional life saver, not a definitive survival tool. But whatever, be pigheaded and don't listen to well ment advice -

Not to get deleted in ships like these is an universal skill that will help you in many other ships and situations -
Petition to remove the "provide antiaircraft cover"
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Spearhawk1969's topic in General Discussion
You seem to be under the impression I don't understand WG's intentions. I do. Their intentions were the core problem in the redesign. I agree with everything you state, the difference is that I see those as the reason they intentionally failed in creating an interesting class.
