    I give up. I asked for help from a BB and tier X radar cruiser that were at 5 km from me while I was fighting a french cruiser at 9 km that was chasing me for 3 minutes, and NO ONE SHOT AT IT. This game and it's playersbase is beyond repair.

    So they wont drop because carrier survival rates is already pretty low, seeing DD's can easily kill carriers all the time without skill needed right?

    Thanks for replying. I don't think carriers are OP, that term is constantly misused. They are broken, and break the core surface ship gameplay completely. I also do not share your observation of DD's not turning off their AA. Today, many DD's I met played smart, turning their AA on and off. I'd say even a majority, and this was low /mid tier mind you. Also the Smol, it's not overpowered, it's again, broken. Anyway, bye ?

    I don't think you came here to change your mind or debate, honestly. Nothing so far shows a willingness to understand why players could hate carriers so much that they report you for playing one. You do seem to be fixated on forum baddies taking fixed hate positions, providing you with an excuse to take one yourself it seems. Again. I played carriers all day long today. It can be horribly toxic gameplay, like really really bad. I've been singeling out players and pounding them relentlessly, even with the help of another carrier, for minutes, until they were beat. Because it was the logical thing to do, the tactical thing to do, the optimal thing to do. These players more often then could not do ANYTHING about their situation or against my carrier or planes, except endure it. So they report the carrier that has been griefing them, so what. I suggest you get over it and move on. Also, I actually gained Karma doing the crap I did today (to my own surprise), and I think someone else has said something simular here. Why you keep losing karma while playing carriers is a mystery to me. Maybe you're not very nice in chat? Maybe you're not helping your teammates in obvious ways? Who knows?

    Avoiding damage =/= countering the carrier or it's planes. I've played german carrier all day today grinding it, I hardly do because it is so boring to me, and it reminded me how damaging and sadistic carrier gameplay is. Everything I did today was aimed at griefing players to the max. Any 'counter' (The number of planes I lose) is up to me. I choose the attack path, I choose the targets, I choose when to enter AA. NONE of the surface ships can actively hunt my planes, not even a carrier can (). There is no counter to planes other then pressing a stupid button and only if the carrier decided to fly into your AA bubble. Some ships can trap planes, but that is about it. You can avoid damage, yep. But that is not countering a carrier. I didn't lose any karma today, I actually gained some. I don't know why you lost some and I gained some. Probably because I am on chatban no. gazillion

    Instead of removing rocketplanes, which should have never been added in the first place. This 'fix' making DDs invisible at 1.5 km shows how silly the rework actually is. Oh, and the 'fighter' planes will still be abused as a group of 3 to 5 spotter planes which DD's can shoot down only to be visible for 20 seconds after activating AA, to compensate for the fail fix. And this is assuming rockets arent also completely stupid against low HP cruisers and BBs at the end of battles.

    The topic at hand you complaining carriers are too hard to play when uptiered? Right. Except they aren't, they are just extremely boring to play. Which is what you are experiencing.

    Serious? All your assumptions are way off. And as for yourself, learn to choose your targets and learn to accept that when you are bottom tier there are targets you need to be careful around. WG really spoiled carrier players into assuming they should be able to attack everything without giving it much thought. You are a prime example of what lazy gameplay does to a players expectations.

    Not only that, but I'll have a hard time beleiving 100 meter long ships can't be spotted by air recon at 1.51 km :P What a farce. I've never seen such absurd game design. So sad these plonkers keep ruining their once great game.

    Z52 needs some love

    I just restarted the grind for the Z52 legendary. This is a weird DD. I did pretty good first 5 matches, but it feels fragile, I think it needs a heal, 2 or 3. Nothing big, just to get up a bit again. The rest is fine, it shouldn't be a DPM gun monster due to the hydro. The torps are decent with the latest upgrades available. I had to get used to it again, the main issue it being so damn fragile. Build below.

    As much fun it was ramming the last enemy ship constantly when it's 2 vs. 1, or even 1 vs. 1 on points lead, its just really bad design for a permanent mode.

    It is by design to stand in the way for some and help others. Its fine for the most part as far as Im concerned. It allows for mistakes every now and then.

    Because it is a bad idea to have it permanently. People liked the dd speed torping mode, the 1 on 1 mode etc. Whats the problem with having these sprints every now and then?
