Why they don't count teammate trajectory when making me pink?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to seXikanac's topic in General Discussion
No one here says you can't, but own up to it if things don't go the way you expected (or did go the way you feared but you fired anyway) and apologise to the person you involuntarily hit. -

You are assuming the player made an conscious decision based on nothing. You are probably already not using your ship to it's full potential to begin with if you are that close to being killed off fighting an enemy ship while assisting a teammate in front of you. -

Telling yourself they had 'no reason' is absurd, a fallacy. -
very low cruisers presence in random battles
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to magicbusITA's topic in General Discussion
If there could be an additional reason for diminished cruiser attendance it might be everything mentioned but now with sprinkled citadelrockets for your pleasure. I'm not sure it changed though. I think cruisers are thrilling to play, especially with the dangers they face. DD's are fun too. BB's are a bit meh at higher tiers, low/mid tier they are a hoot. Carriers are absolute brain damaging boring. -
Shimakaze 20km Torps... the return?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
From what i can see, there's enough really bad players in high tiers that makes them a viable option these days. -

You take every silly manouvre into account and decide if you want to fire or not. It means you are responsible if you do no matter what happens, and should not be surprised or god forbid mad or angry if someone does the inexplicable. Never. You hold on to your balls and apologise. Now about those braincells on most teammates -
Potatoes will always potato, in every game. Creating game design that is geared towards potatos so your pool of potential gamble addicts is as large as possible is not about creating a great gaming experience though. It creates a playerbase that is lazy, spoiled and won't even make an effort, and that is largely what we end up with. Carriers though are just to play and to play against. It's as simple as that to me. BB's are fun both ways. DD's are fun both ways. CA's are fun both ways. CV's are just meh to infuriatingly stupid.

Mkay. Once torpedoes are fired they are on no ones team. Make sure you learn to not fire torpedoes from the second line, and take every silly manouvre a friendly can make into account. Also, since they are your torps, and you fired them, make sure to apologise. Noting grinds my tits as someone blaming a teammate sailing into friendly torpedoes. -
Give New Players a Fun to Play Environment that's free of CVs, subs and seal clubbers

If I was introduced to the game now instead of years back I would have abandoned it at tier 5. -
Reducing air detectability of 100 m long ships to 1,5 km. Take a wild guess which one is most likely: broken game design or potatos

That would be great advise if carrier gameplay wasn't absolutely boring, mind boggelingly simplistic and void of excitement. -

Yeah, no. WG obviously is not modeling this game after naval warfare if we look at the silly solutions they come up with. These have no relation to modeling naval warfare. I would go as far as saying the gameplay designers (not the art team mind you) don't even have the slightest affinity with modeling naval warfare and treat this game as a generic digital game title but with ships. -
They just did

Yeah. -
Shima > khaba. You need to be very experienced in order to make the Khaba work for you and your team. The Shima can be played in a more relaxed way.

There are regular outcries by inexperienced players here on this forum which you ignore out of convenience. -

Seal clubbing is a harsh but proper training element for less experienced players. How will new players improve if they can't learn from watching and playing with or against seasoned players? In a protected environment they won't develop the proper skills to enter the 'real' game environment. The worst offender I think is the 4 carrier matches in almost every low tier match. That creates a chaotic environment where inexperienced players don't get the space and time to learn from others, and in which these players are pushed towards playing carriers themselves, since that is the only class where they can relax a bit while playing the full round. The spreadsheet in the mean time, will show carriers are a success. But we all understand why bots are now part in the low tier PvP enviroment -
(Lack of) Initiative to help teammates?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Honey_Badger621's topic in General Discussion
WG has been so kind to remove all previous team play tactics from this game and focused on blobbing, which is according to some, team play I smoke up Battlebabes that are focused or in trouble to give them a breather to heal up or retreat. The number of times the smoke is ignored is staggering. Instead of holding fire and using the smoke to flush fires and floodings, heal up or tactically retreat, some fire the next salvo as soon as it's ready. Teamwork like that is not always recognised. Experience learns that you need to pick your buddy to help carefully or you'll be wasting a precious smoke stack. Also, carriers make sure DDs are reluctant to help teammates using smoke, because they need it in case of emergencies. One of the many genius side effects of the carrier rework. Well done WG -
