  1. I can see a scenario that justifies a good ol' whine post, where OP got focused by the carrier and shot at by half the enemy team for an unhealthy amount of time. Hell, I've been playing some BB's lately (not my forte) to get some achievements and have deleted cruisers or took away half of BB HP's within the first 1 to 2 minutes of the match regularly, just because a carrier spotted the damn thing and it had to evade. So please, a replay to stop the nay whining bitching at the carrier whine or vice versa, either way.

    As far as I'm aware the max spread is narrowest when fully aimed but still subject to RNG within that max spread?

    I still havent figured out what the actual problem is. RNG spread has always been in the game.

    I think it drops 8 per strike (4 per plane), which is in fact not insane. But getting hit by even 1 in your 'conceiled' destroyer should be fun

    The special occasion being WG marketing being gross misleading and obnoxious, more then the regular convoluted and obnoxious.
  11. On top of that: The german high altitude bombers are near impossible to track visually. They fly almost straight over your position where they are very hard to track properly while fighting. You have to rely on the minimap to see their attack angle. Making it even more easy for the carrier to line up AP bombs perfectly.

    They are doing exactly the right thing because AA fire is visually not spawned from the actual ship itself but randomly generated throughout the cloud smoke. Only main gun fire is drawn from the actual ship location. So carriers can try to aim at the AA location, but chances are the ship is not there. In comes a massive rocket barrage that has the width of almost an entire smoke puff. So nope, it's not the DD's being stupid. It's WG being really really bad at gameplay design so they have to hack their own BS. This is yet again one of the many completely arsepulled solutions WG had to come up with to mitigate the 'brilliant' CV rework.

    He talks about how he is normally good at dodging flak with other carriers, so it seems the sheer volume and cluckyness makes it harder. To me it looks like this is a much better approach for carrier gameplay instead of the spam and turn on a dime machines we have now, which are horrible. Except for the massive ordinance and healthpools ofcoarse, because WG wouldn't be WG if they didn't babysit carriers upto the end of each match. Did you notice Aaron had FULL squads ready up to the end of the match? That's because all 3 weapon types are good enough against everything, so the pilot can simply alternate plane types dropping massive stuff of everything 3x over unless hit by flak. Angling wont help against any of the weapons, dodging apparantly only goes so far when perpenicular HE bomb drops result in 4 pens. He has enough time between alternating types for his losses to grow back on the magic plane factory carriers apparantly had on board back in the days. Aaron wonders how targets will respond to doing lots of plane damage against attack waves but very limited plane kills. We already know, we had that situation when 0.8.0 was released. Plane damage means nothing if targets can't kill off planes. Damaged planes get magically insta repaired to 100% HP when returning to the ship, so duh.

    Until it spams rockets in your smoke screen and because of the sheer massive amount of rockets simply resets your cap 3 times in a row without losing 1 plane :P Or how about 8 torpedoes launched into your smoke at 1 km? Or wtf insane amounts of HE bombs. You can kiss your stealth capping chances goodbye, which was already threatened by its spotting capability and stealth radar ships that are in every game these days :P

  20. You have seen players you think purposefully turned to deny you a kill and claim it as their own. ^^ Unless they specifically told you this was their intent, you can safely assume that your brain is creating follies to justify what just happened.
