I don't have to pull the plug much, but when it does it is usually a heating problem, either grafics card or chip. -
@genosse @Captain_Newman @Execute0rder66 That speedboost.... <3 Im getting paolo first to get my ramming speed yolo torp fix. I need 1 ffen daily mission for it, so I'll get it when I get home tonight. If I think I need more speed breaking awesomsauce after that I'll go for the smalland too, but I must say, I haven't encountered many Smallands that did that to me, then again I don't sit in smoke in cap much and if I do it's always arse towards the enemy.

Kidding aside, I respect Saipan players. It's one of the carriers that make you work a sweat and managing reserves is actually a thing.

I did the same with tanks. And I still have to a little thinking what they did to that game. The issue I have with WG is that they jump into a pvp niche, provide a fun setting with great art (tanks and ships are amongst my favorite game themes) and then ruin it by turning it into a glorified convoluted gambler and looter while ruining gameplay to accomodate that. There isn't much interesting to go to tanks and ships pvp wise. The grind in their direct competitor is just too menacing for me. -

Ehhh I was going to postpone a purchase, now I want a Smalland. Is the speed post that insane? I,d love that. And the one thing I miss at my lovely Friesland to make it insanely fun is a heal to recover from overly aggressive actions.

I actually battled a halland for 10 minutes around an objective pushing him out 5 times XD No wonder I felt so frustrated ^^ In the meantime:

Counter radar can be played around so thats fine for a ship with radar hydro and smoke ^^ I must say, playing the Marceau (which I got just recently and is a really nice ship) showed me why I don't want to invest heavily in tier X ships. I'm a fairly agressive player, but man the tier X BB players are so unbeleivably passive. I push and push, even into hallands which outspot me a few hundred meters and even manage to push those back, and the BB's hardly ever push with me unless I killed half the enemy flank first. They just sit there ploinking away like toddlers without a cause

Hmmmmm that sounds right up my ally <3 Thanks mate, I'll go for the Paolo now, and probably wait a bit. Or not. OMG. If it' turns out to be a steel ship I'll destroy my PC instead of uninstalling WOWS though ^^

This is why I don't like TX specials and premiums much. I prefer TIX because there is more fun to be had. I just came out of a few Marceau battles, and the matches are regularly thrown away due to 'pro' players excessively (being bad at) camping. Below we had both A and B caps, and the blob at A couldn't even hold on the the objective right under their nose being capped by a KHABA because the whole blob was sitting behind a friggin island.

Since the Smalland is a special ship I can use him while being assigned to the Halland. I was comparing special captains overall, seems if one is suitable it's Swirski. The paolo for example is the worst match for the ITA special captain.

I traded WOT after 2-3 years of fun for WOWS around the time gold ammo and all kinds of other sinks were thrown in the game, like crew rations and other convoluted BS. The game was fun, gold ammo made its way in making it way too unpredictable, and then it decided it had to be made great for low attention span run and gunners and addiction defecit looters. The grind is worse, convolution is at it's peak, it's basically another WG shooter gone looter.

As far as special captains go, I have Yamamoto, which is a terribad match for the Hayate, and Swirski which seems the perfect Smalland captain.

Gaaahhh.... The only RB ship I can see myself getting next to the paolo is the colbert. I already have the ohio and siegfried, and don't have any interest in more tx bbs. Seeing how unpopular the ha(ya)te really is I'm expecting WG to change it to a coal ship instead. I found my RB go to line: the uk ca. Almost every ship in it is fun and competitive. Slap on some flags and camo and I grind it in 3 to 4 no life evening's.

That's my initial reaction when looking at the Hayate. Kiting kitten, like all the two aft turret IJN's. I have loads of gun kills in my Asasshio becasue of that exact same treat.

I have the Friesland, and it's an absolute hoot. It's very different, and she is a bit of a pushover, so you need to be very aware of that. I just realised I want both the Smalland and the Hayate. So it is basically a question of which I want first. Listening to you gals and gurls point towards the Smalland first and get the Hayate second. I have the feeling I can make the Hayate actually work, but I just don't want to regret spending 2M FXP and not getting the Smalland. I find the amount of FXP still absurd in both cases, but have no use for skipping silver lines, as the journey always trumps reaching the destination. I hardly play any of the silver tier X ships once I get them. The rebel in me wants to buy the Hayate and to prove the nay sayers weird ships can be glorious. Does anyone know of good hayate vid reviews? I can find so little on it on weebtube. Oh and I'm getting the Paolo.

IKR. As far as regular PVP game design goes, I can't recall anything more absurd in over 25 years of gaming and designing games myself lol. But that might be because I'm forgetting things :/ EDIT: Rofl I just read tip 1 on how to counter a CV: Dont be alone. that'll teach the bad bad carrier XD
