Could 2021 be the year they rebalance stats?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to The_Chiv's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I forsee no future change in their behavior, they have dug into it more and more last 2 years. I stopped supporting them finacially since jan. this year, with the exception of buying back my Belfast for 16 euro. I am unhappy with the direction of events, the focus on gambling and lootboxes including the disgusting experiments to convolute these and major game changes that made many of my favorite ships port queens, AA changes being the major offender. The upside to the influx of inexperienced fast up tiering players into the game is that there are now so many of them it's usually enough to fill both teams with bad players, so my stats are skyrocketing like mad. So I might be playing (and not paying) for a while still, since I received tons of free premium days from them this year, clubbing stuff at mid and higher tiers. -
If it's still 4 carriers every 6 to 8 matches it doesn't matter if they are seal clubbers or not Six is where he should be at I think.

Nobody in their right mind should be playing tier 4 to get better at the game. ^^ Play tier 6 a lot, it's a nice platform whith a decent mix of good and bad players, less matches with stupid 4 carriers in them, and a very nice line of ships. Tier 6 is where you need to learn and improve. A good challenge for your current skill level to learn and work your way up the food chain. And watch lots of videos

The T61 is really growing on me while grinding for the weirdest Bismark skin ever. -
It's basically none of your business why, and I for one don't understand why you feel the urge to have a generic stab at people that do on a games forum.

Isn't Asia using the RTS carriers still? ---> 5% -
Seriously? 500 + pages of carrier related discuassion are actually hidden from public view? What might be the reason behind this decision?

As a cruiser/battleship player, how much help do you expect/need from a DD?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to quickr's topic in General Discussion
I've had instances where i cleared an entire enemy flank of 5 ships with only 12 k spotting damage because the players with me that were in shooting range were incapable at damaging enemy ships in general. So we lost with me having 2x the XP of the one 2nd place, like OP. Spotting damage is directly depending on teammates actually being able to hit and damage something ^^ -

You can spot plenty and still not get allocated spotting damage while doing it depending on the circumstances, like his team not damaging the ships he spotted -

T61 top dog in a T8 heavy match. -
I'm not dismissing that, I'm telling you the solution to that is learn to play. Not change the system. You can't change other people playing bad. You can change yourself playing around other people playing bad.

'uneccesarily taking torps' <- who in his right mind would do that? We understand there is a problem. Inexperienced players hit friendly players with torps, despite the current warning system. Do i think an additional warning could help? Sure, i guess? Do I think that the problem would be solved with that? Nope, because this fella apparantly doesn't want to learn, at all. Nothing. And he needs to. For his sake and that of his teammates. As for your rather silly accusation being part of the problem: I am not the one killing teammates and being banned to coop (this is actually the first time I've heared anyone being banned to coop, twice even). I didn't post on the game company forum to suggest that WG should fix this embarrasing situation not by punishing him but by dedicating actual developers, workhours, testing, debugging and launching new code which all doesn't come cheap, when the easy and most optimal solution to the 'problem' is: LEARN TO PLAY. That is what we are telling him, we are helping him here. Also, normally what happens, people get pink for 2 matches. That's it. It is exceptional that someone gets banned to coop, TWICE. I never heared of that in my 5 years of playing. This guy is super careless. And he's shown no capabilty of understanding or learning from his mistakes, or the mistakes of others for that matter. I'll just leave this here as an example where a careless shima player forced me to go out of my planned path and made me either reteit or be overly agressive, and distraced me from an actual big incoming threat. All because i was forced to keep an eye on my back because someone wasn't very 'friendly'.

Seemingly no reason according to you. That only means this -> you failed to understand the situation that was in front of you at launch, and still don't understand after it happened. So the other person must be at fault, at least partially. The second weird inexplicable thing to me is: you think the victim player is 'just careless', and you, the one launching, the cause of the damage, the one who is hurting teammates, is apparantly not. Why? I haven't seen you post: 'He just carelessly launched torpedoes and hit somebody'
-
The reason is that there are always going to be new players that need to learn how to use torpedoes responsibly that come here because they feel a bit dumb and want others to make it go away. All of them learn eventually, hopefully. Except you perhaps. The ones who seem hard of hearing and on repeat is you two. You seem to not understand that responsibility doesn't end because players can't control them once launched. That is the EXACT reason you need to learn how to use them responsbly.

Help with my stats. Want to improve.
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Harvin87's topic in General Discussion
Stats usually improve when you focus on just a few ships you are comfortable with. In your case russian battleships and destoyers. Focus on theese for a while: -
It's interesting how you don't realise that you need to learn to use them without bringing harm to your team like the rest of us. If you keep hitting teammates, you should be permanently banned to coop, or even better, 'play a farm simulator' to paraphrase you. The general evaluation in the thread after 4 pages is: learn to use torps or don't use them at all.

Give them a new nick and carry on. It's not worth the hassle, these people sell lootboxes to kids, but take a pretty 'special' moral position when it comes to ingame chat and names.- 74 replies

Well, I can I think? At least that my impression of me shooting DDs. I usually hit a minimum 1 shell unless it's a cheeky speed tanking frenchie. They are usually occupied fighting something else at those ranges and every overpen counts EDIT: I tried it in game a couple of times, the wording 'fairly' should be taken lighty ^^
