Which ships to buy for coal before removal
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to arquata2019_'s topic in General Discussion
Marceau is so frikkin fast you can speed tank. It's a lot of fun. You do however need to adept a destroyer leader type of gameplay where you are a far better khaba. If you had fun in other frnch high tier destroyers, like I do, Marceau is for you. I bought battleships becasue they are awesome according to BB players, but they sit in port unused mostly now a days. just not my thing. That's why I still haven't bought the Thunderer. Sniping BS BB meh. -
Me too. It's boring tho :(
-
This is all the design quality you need if your main focus is lootboxes and gambling.
-
Almost everyone playing DD, CA and BB ticking that box. I think it's a silly idea, but it's not like every class has the same issues with eachother. All classes have issues with carriers.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

My win for the day: I met a desperate Paolo Milio player, who was ready to give up on the ship. I told him to take the first half of the match slow, and to rock on in the second half. He did. He lost a cap because he turned away understanding he had to wait to pick his battles. He ended up second on our team, taking out half that flank, that was abandoned by our team, on his own. -
winrate - absurd and no logic in it

I found my WR varies based on my mood. If I'm calm, happy or relaxed, I win lots. When I'm stressed, impatient or frustrated I tend to develop losing streaks. Weekends are only bad because there is so much stupid gameplay to be found, but it doesn't change my WR. I still lose when frustrated, win when relaxed in weekends. -
Same but with a single grozovoi torp

I've seen WOWS wig out a couple of times since patch 0.9.10. Check the video to see what happens. This was introduced to me since patch 0.9.10, I did not have any issues before. I starts happening after I've played for some time. The game also seems to have moments where it doesnt seem to be able to keep track of all the stuff that's going on on screen, especially when theres 500 torpedoes coming at me, 4000 AA traces firing at planes form all the ships arround me on screen and im in one of my speed racing DD's. Somehow this feels related to the known bug where we see a glimpse of the previous match when the current one ends right before switching to port. That bug I've seen before on a game I worked on in the past: it was a memory managment issue - the previous level was not flushed from memory when a new one was loaded. It would still be there for the entire new round and would show itself at round endings. The ghost 'image' looks exactly like that. I have 12 GB of memory, and didn't check the memory status while playing the game. I might if I feel like it. I might not. This is not an official bug report :P Just curious: Anyone seen anything like this before, anywhere? PS: didn't stop me from killing 2 ships while it was going on

He probably means a second account? Not a reset one.

580 ARP Yamato already sold on EU server

Silver Yamato has always been a trap for the lazy that think biggest guns = autowin. -

Lowering my settings has eased up a bit on the issues, but I still see remnants of invisible ships and tracking and rendering issues like stuttering torpedoes etc in small little glitches after playing for a bit. I think there are still serious memory managment issues to be fixed by WG. Lowing my settings made the issues manifest itself less prominently. But I do restart the game regularly to make sure It doesn't get worse.

Thank you

You can get well over 50% without doing any of this. -
The real problem with the ARP Yamato (Unpopular opinion but it’s not the ship)

Your self proclaimed chest thumping righteousness is getting absurd. -
A 20 km shima in A1 eh? How freudian A forced argument like this is pretty bad advice for anyone not being able to carry in a carrier. Only recently a T8 carrier botched my incoming dev strike on a Thunderer while I was at close proximity with fishes already underway. I even alerted him to not attack my target. He also didn't care. Thunderer turned, my fishes miss, carrier gets off 1 torp hit. The effect of botching an incoming DD torpedo dev strike like this is much more comprehensive then just a DD being denied a kill. Waisting the DD dev strike attack which takes time to set up, alerting the Thunderer of DD's presence (nice torp wall I just evaded there bro), and waisting carrier damage potential on a second target he could have been attacking. This failure to comply to the team effort also resulted to that Thunderer, whilst shooting at my teammates, now has become much harder to trap a second time because he is roughly aware of my location and sailing away now. So unless a carrier player is really, really good, 'reliable damage' is relative to how much a carrier actually can pull off compared to that well aimed torp wall. For the bigger part of the carrier players out there, that is usually not a good exchange for the team.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Had a fun match with @Vinix_mv and @StriX_419. I don't meet a lot of helpful random players often, in this tier VIII heavy match in my Leander I met 2 GG lads -
I know carriers are disconnected mentally from what goes on at sea level usually, but you sir, take the cake. ^^

Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Rawthorm's topic in General Discussion
WG gets the community they deserve actually. People dismissing others for buying an overpriced ship? That's just silly. You buying an ARP Yamato with your partner and accusing others in this community of elitism? I find that rather amusing. There are good, bad and ugly people in this community, just like everywhere else IRL. What the hell are you doing calling this whole community absolute ******? -
DDs Gameplay and no teamwork these days
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to OsamaBinLantirn's topic in General Discussion
Excellent, you need this escape route, whatever you do, always. It's crucial to be able to disengage if situations turn out unfavaorable. I have an example vid of my Yugomo playing without smoke and using topedo reload booster always using manouvres that allows for a quick escape becasue of the lack of a smoke module. It's good training to only use smoke defensively, to escape. -
Not sure what the point is but 0% WR in 10 battles in an overpriced ship isn't exactly pay2win ^^
