Once you get comfortable with it you can start being more agressive. The asasshio is an excellent kiter and has stellar conceilment. Her profile is hard to hit for many when kiting away. So make sure you approach danger at an angle from which you can instantly turn and kite. Depending on the situation (enemy and team support) you can kite away using the 2 back turrets to dish out some serious hurt on enemy dd's that think asasshio is a simple assured kill. I've dissapointed many tier 9 and 10 dd captains in that regard ^^

Alaska or Aegir or Friesland? The time has come
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Butterdoll's topic in General Discussion
I play Friesland more but for you Alaska sounds like the better choice. Agir is fun too I hear, but I have Siegfried instead, which is as much fun but different from the Alaska. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
Sure, ive mentioned that several times and stopped buying from them myself since late dec 2019 . Yes it is deliberate. The only doodoo accidents they have is when they cross a line they didnt forsee making it rain crap. That is what they mean when they tell the community they 'learned'. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
Like I told Pete earlier, it is not about stopping complaints. It is about being transparant and unequivocal in offers as a service to customers. People will always complain. People will be greedy. People will misunderstand. Those are, to me, perfect reasons to constantly improve a business customer service. It's easy being cynical. It's better to be helpful. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?

Yes, you can repeat what you said and I already told you I'll take that strange statement at face value. Repeating it doesnt make it more relevant though. Im guessing you're enjoying the attention a little too much ^^ Back to the ignore bin with you -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
Sure, i'll take your word for it. How exactly is this relevant? The complaints we see pop up are not customers buying a Black version ship and expecting a non Black version. They are missing specific information about the extra mission included in the offer. That mission does not have an A and B version. So. There is that. -
Bug Report / Black Friday "B"-suffix craft.
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to hopfolk's topic in General Discussion
An explicit and unequivocal statement that the mission in this package can not be finsihed with the Black Jean Bart that is included in this offer is missing here. This is not an omittance by accident. Etc lol. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
Dude. Seriously. That analogy is broken AF. Okay, I'll play along even if this is getting silly by now: if that 2011 Toyota comes with a 'special offer' like a roof rack? If that that roofrack is in no way usable on the 2011 model, then yes. It should explicitly state that it is not usable on the car on offer. -

On screens in a shop enviroment it is a known issue or usable technique, however you want to approach this. -

LOL Have you seen the CV rework yet? It's been out for 2 years. I'm already way too offended mate ^^ -

An explicit and unequivocal statement that the mission in this package can not be finsihed with the Black Jean Bart that is included in this offer is missing here. This is not an omittance by accident. The wall of text has a function: it makes people skim the text and miss details, especially on screens. They apply this method to almost all of their marketing. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
See thats the issue I have with that kind of approach; it is not about 'stopping the complaints'. It is about transparant and upfront communication in these offers, to make sure they are as unambiguous as possible. Just as a simple and straight forward service to customers. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
Sure, whatever you are trying to say here. Except we're talking about the offers on Black Friday ships, not Black Friday lootcrates. It is not hard to include statements in these ship offers that will leave little room for misunderstanding. But, whatever you don't want to agree with, it's fine man. Everyone needs a hobby right? -
Compensation for duplicates has changed for BF containers.
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Aragathor's topic in General Discussion
To be fair, that would only be a somewhat proper expectation if the dropchances for a ship per crate is in the whole digits (5%, or between 10 to 20%). I can assure you, dropchances are most likely at subzero decimal numbers (0.1% or 0.05% for example). We as human beings are very poor in estimating our chances realistically, which is the main driving force behind gambling and why the house always wins. And it's why lootboxers don't like to include the actual chances in their offer, it really doesn't help selling them. They sell better by keeping you as uninformed as they can possibly get away with. And when creators are actually forced to put those numbers in they have found other ways to push our addiction sensitive brains by using collection completion urges for instance, or fake exclusivity (super rare, legendary etc) in digital goods. -
Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
If they would be straight forward and specifically state in that subtext that this mission can not be completed with the Jean Bart B that is included in the package, yep, it might. It can be that simple really. -

Cheeky. WG's marketing dep. can improve easily if WG wants honest and straight up in it's communication towards it's customers, but to be fair, that's not what they are there for now is it? Okay, I'll bite. For example, the JeanBart B package mission. (O wait it's actually the 'not Jean Bart B' package mission. ) WG could simply remove the mission from the front page ads subtitles and put the following in the description of the mission offered to avoid ANY confusion: 'This mission can not be completed with the Jean Bart B that is included with this offer' and maybe even add ', but only with the regular version of the Jean Bart' and then on top of that even add 'that is not included in this offer.' Simple, straight forward, honest. You think the people at the marketing department need me to suggest this as an improvement? It never crossed their mind as an option? -
Yeah @Excavatus y u do dis to us!!!???!!!???

Jean Bart B bundled with Jean Bart mission?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to CptBaconstrips's topic in General Discussion
It is intentionally vague in some areas. Ofcoarse the info is there for the observant reader to find, but we all know Black Friday isn't about fineprint, it's about impulse. Because hey, simple fact, WG could leave that extra mission for the regular JB out of it's front page advertising image and just put the whole mission in the subtext. No semi vague advertising needed, just straight up wysiwyg. But that is too simple and straight forward right? I don't blame anyone that isn't embedded in WG's fineprint and weird exemptions to assume things wrongfully and impulse buy without reading the whole thing. Or even when they do, misunderstand, because it specifically, again by design, does NOT state that the mission does NOT apply to the JB you are about to purchase. These are choices made by the marketing dep. Not accidents. Want to make sure your customers can't misunderstand what you are selling? Remove the halfbacked info on the main advertising pics, and specifically state that the mission is NOT for the ship you are about to purchase. Simple. Straight. Honest. -
The sheer amount of money WG could make but doesn't
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
WG has made it very clear in their chosen business model that they dont want me as a paying customer. Which is fine. Happy to oblige. Not just the carrier rework, plenty of stuff to pick from amongst which the bloody spam of lootboxes is the biggest offender. -
The real problem with the ARP Yamato (Unpopular opinion but it’s not the ship)

I coughed up 188 euros and got myself 180 of the finest soft pastels that money can buy. Going to love drawing with those babies for the next half year or so. <3 I have about 2900 dubloons saved up from various events. Should I spend their own gold on this crap or keep saving? -
