This better just be a genuine mistake!

Yup didnt read. When people bring up car analogies . What WG does is not stating unequivocally that 'this mission can not be finished in the Shipname B'. Thats all they have to do. Life can be so simple. -
Yup, the first omg cvs wont be able to attack anything comment is in.
-
It's funny you mention that because most crap carrier players last way too long in matches due to WGreasons. ^^ But because theya re so god awefull they still manage to drag carrier damage numbers down

It currently isnt unambiguous enough. It can be improved upon very easily. Idiot proof? Probably not. Made into less of an arse move? Yup, defenitely. -

It is very different, don't be daft. Everyone can see it's aiming to cause these 'mistakes' by being juuuuust a little bit cheeky. It can be explained unambiguously and there is no 'sillyness' in doing that properly to serve WG customers to the best of their ability. The choose not to. It's an arse move. -
My guess is every class dislikes being targeted by carriers, only carriers dont care because WG reasons. Stop deluding yourself into blaming DD's for it's unpopularity. The class design by itself makes it easy to dislike, even for someone as me who wants to play carriers but doesn't because they are so godaweful boring to play. I don't have alot of problems playing around carriers (note the choice of words), but even I dislike carriers as they currently are because of the sheer simplistic nature and the absurd disruption that comes with that. Yes, it takes preperation and skill to set up a good torpedo attack unless the target is very bad. You know, a 160 knts speed difference in positioning and dropping torpedoes at 3 km distance with replacable stuff as opposed to 8 km or longer range and 38 knts, and putting your arse on the line due to radar, carrier spotting and other DD's?

'clearly' thats why we have so many people coming here asking wtf. It's not clear enough apparantly. -
Absolutely not. It's awekward, and having AA enhanced on one side is silly, as planes often shoot over to the other side. It's absurd. As you said, an afterthought. The Pacific way is much more interesting.
-
I loved the way Pacific worked, great game. It would be a great solution especially for ships that flank and are attacked while not being involved in a direct combat situation. Being able to use the AA like pacific in those situations would add greatly to the carrier vs. surface gameplay. Problem I see is, WG made it near impossible to balance AA with their redesigned abomintations. The carrier gameplay has become so 1 dimensional, AA changes will disrupt carrier gameplay where it starts to conflict the rework very quickly and break one way or the other. Simplistic controls and managment but very hard target acquisition for carriers is something I can defenitely live with and which would make carriers more interesting to play for me pesonally (prob. need alpha buff in that case), but it will deter a lot of the current carrier players that honestly are pretty bad skillwise. They won't be able to cope with actually having to consider what to attack. They are so used to spamming that we already see the weirdest complaints on this forum about carrier players being upset someone dares to make their attack impossible. We have carrier apologists who constantly bring up the absurd notion that if carriers can't attack 1 or 2 sepcialized AA ships in a match they 'can't attack anything' . WG has created a spoiled group of players that are used to 'resistance is futile'. I'd really prefer carriers get it harder but also get a bit more alpha capacity and will have to be very selective in their attacks. But WG really wants to dumb things down still so willy nilly skilly can (ab)use this class that should be a specialized class after all. So yes, thumbs up from me. But serious doubt WG will ever get back to creating interesting gameplay on whatever they produce :(

There is a play mode that is almost CV free
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Puffin_'s topic in General Discussion
Yeah thats why we need a low skill class that can spot and attack everything willynilly by accident and sits in a stupid little corner of the map away from it's team while nobbing about plerping ornament on whatever it feels like in their own little mini singleplayer mode. Good thing most carrier players are absolutely crap. I say Friesland feels like a Tier 9.5 :D -
The sheer amount of money WG could make but doesn't

I used the 30% discount every year. This summer, nope. I'm done. I let it slip, didn't care. I got free premium up my wazoo from snowflake crates and whatever. Even more then I like. So not even premium time discount this year. That's a first. I'll go into my second year of F2P :P -
Lol. How typical of them.

Your post reads like a big whine dressed up with balloons actually ^^ Welcome and how nice of you to assimilate to a true forumite. I have 25 years of gaming experience and have been a game developer myself for 8 years and can recognise someone making pointless generalizations on a forum a mile away. Hi there. I'm not sure if you are new or a reroll/second/third account, but for (relative) new players it is indeed worth spending some money on it as long as you enjoy yourself. I speak here as a vet, and both WG and me agree I should't support them financially anymore. Which is fine, I still enjoy the game. I'm good enough to disregard everything and just do my thing. But I just can't bring myself to support WG anymore. They are a bit crap in some areas to be honest ^^ -
[Poll] How many 19-point commanders do you currently have? Do you have enough "Elite Captain XP" stashed for upcoming 19->21 change?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
12 or 13, lots of 17 and 18 too, not enough CXP to even upgrade one to 21 since I blew it mostly to rush Ashigara and her Hayate to 19 ^^ I'm not much of a min maxer. I play and upgrade my whims of the day. So I can't upgrade even 1 to 21. Meh. Don't care much tbh. 2 points. Those can't be crucial. Who cares? -
Its going to be my next overpriced purchase because reasons
-
I bought a 2Mil FXP Hayate nobody wants. I create my own shitstorm systems bruh

Inflation galore, keep it up lol.
