Some of the CCs are preparing to move away from WOWs in the near future. These 'shocking' reveals are good advertisement for their current message.

I know you have this mantra, and like you told someone else here: omg not that again. You bring up the 'carriers wont be able to attack anything' as expected. You then tell me its a fact. It's not. It's a fabrication of your mind. Your logic is biased. Everyone is sailing a single unit. Carrier is no different atmo. Anyone shooting someone else usually gets detected and can becomed subject to incoming fire from multiple ships and carriers at once. Cruisers, destroyers, battleships. If a cruiser or a DD and to a lesser extend BB gets detected, they risk being focused and sunk. The cost can be enormous. Carriers, not so much. Unless it is their hull, they lose a few planes. Big deal.

It frees up time and brain capacity to do actual interesting and fun stuff.

Fun fact: even a player that is really bad at a game can tell if another player is good or bad at that game.
