Your example is a specific situation theorising how it should work, and I'm here to tell you, the system fails in steering behavior by omitting proper feedback. But don't let me push you off your theories and hypotheticals by giving you actual feedback. I'm sure lalalala while plugging your ears works best for WG. After all, it does in every other aspect of the game for the last two years ^^

It took me about 1,5 years to figure out that all I did wrong was use certain types of swearwords. The feedback on bans is a black void. Once someone has been manually set to consecutive weeks bans, even using a swearword can invoke an automated 6 week ban lol. An absolutely pointless system that does a very poor job @ correcting behavior and only punishes flat out with a blunt object the Stalinesque way. Now I'm toxic without getting banned and earning 40-50 silly karma points at the same time. The chat punishment system is as 'solid' as the carrier and captain rework design ^^

Withholding ships 'becous pupular omgzorz' and messing up ships I paid for by 'global changes' are the main reason I stopped paying WG. It's made up nonsense. That and grooming an sad AFK arena skill level playerbase.

I played nothing but carriers for 2 months after 0.8.0 came out to make everyone feel as miserable as I felt about getting devstruck in my Atlanta by bombs and being endlessly focused and killed in my Grozovoi by a Midway shooting down only 3 planes back then. You'd be fair to list all the players that killed your carrier too though.

CV rework was the worst game design ive seen in all my years of playing games. I do like some aspects of the captain rework like the recall button and sharing 1 capt on my premium ships of different classes, but the new added skill themselves are mostly fail. After testing Ive returned to the default builds for most of my fav. ships. Also AA skills still fail massively. Wtf.

Did the big reset, tested and played a dozenof my favorite ships and found a good setup for most of my special captains and a few silver ones. I'm leaving the rest unspecced. Basically: I dropped all the new gimmicky skills after testing, they sounds nice, but are mostly useless to me. Even DE. Survival is everything: more damage, more playtime, more fun usually. I reverted to old style builds that make BB's tanky and DD's healthy and stealthy. I stopped playing cruisers at most tiers..
