"Our research therefore demonstrates that games developers, unwittingly or not, appear to be generating outsized loot box profits from at-risk individuals (these are likely to include both people with gambling problems or problematic patterns of video gaming) - but not from wealthy gamers," it concluded. I've always hated WG's business choice - and it's not becasue they can't make money in different ways, they delibetrately moved their shooters into the gambling realm. They probably tell themselves whales are players with infinte amounts of cash to spend so 'no harm done'. Reality seems they bleed people that can't really afford to have these kinds of problematic addictions, and fkng kids. It's rated 7+. I detest their scumbaggery.

Yup still working, thanks

Which is true for me personally by now, except being able to use legendary captains on different class premiums.

Had it with rampant toxicity in the game

Bold is probably why. I'm simply saying the sea among the purple is exceedingly red. There's more totmatoes playing high tiers, due to progress being a simple grind or buy-in. I' ve grown a bit ofc, and I've spent my first 2 years in tiers V to VIII like you kind of do. As I improved in high tier play, the dead weight of rotten tomatoes in high tiers has been growing as well though. I personally can't find the energy it takes to carry all that new dead weight these days anymore, despite my own progress. That's why I decided to join a clan (solo player for years), which has prolonged my enjoyment for some time now. Simply because having a bunch of great people to talk to outweighs most of the crap I see. The lack of focused core gameplay development (it's all about gambling, gimmicks, dumbing down to the lowest denominator and resources hoarding these days) and the resulting influx of clueless and underdeveloping players as a result of that development focus is killing the game for me. The funny thing is, most people I see ranting in game are actually not that good usually ^^ -
Are words not your friend? All I see quoted is 'almost HP' and 'I never said full HP'. On topic. I agree with Ex. Deto's should be more violent then regular 0 HP events.

Evidence shmevidence. Win or lose, the gameplay is at an all time low as far as I'm concerned. The roflstomps are increasingly cringy, either winning or losing. My last ranked session was 8 out of 9 stomps, and I won 7 of them. Fun? No. You keep assuming players at high tiers are 'obviously' better in general as if the high tier is some kind of quality filter as opposed to lower tiers. Its absolutely not, its loaded with very bad players who finally grinded their way up there. Ofc there are still good players, but they are swimming in a sea of red. -

That high tier comment is obviously mistaken. The rampent deterioration of the gameplay quality in this title is because of the vastly increased number of really bad players at high tiers. -
I always have a good laugh when i read the devs statement on balancing

Rofl. Post title confirmed The irony is strong. -
I can see why you don't want him to reply that almost full hp is unequal to full hp :P

As far as I'm aware there is no bug where a ship goes backward when the player presses the forward key. Check your settings and keybindings? Are you using autopilot for that manouvre?

1. Dont sit near an island far away from your team. Problem solved. 2. If you can't keep track of DD's on the map in your carrier, you're the problem, not the warning system.

Apparantly so. Also, like I just mentioned, carriers already have air superiority build in these days, so the original 'reason' is obsolete. For the record, I'm just forwarding what I understand was the reason behind the carriers being exempt from detonation. I think it's absolute bullocks in their current state, as is their special status to fire and flooding.

Is secondary skills getting a rework as well?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
Selection bias? I think you mean confirmation bias? Plz confirm ^^ Luckily, we don't have to choose which of the 2 influences made the meta worse: the huge influx of Thundellols and the addition of deadeye together made the game jump to a worse state by a stretch. These one by one mindlessly pushing battleships you keep seeing are punished even more then they already were by the existance of deadeye. Even ships far away (on other flanks) now contribute more damage to pushing individuals. I think what you are witnessing as 'mindlessly' is actually players who are fed up with the camping meta, and are unable or unwilling to contribute anything else other then trying to push in, hopelessly. They are bored out of their skull is what they are. -
As far as I know, carriers exemption to detonation is because of their presumed influence on the game. A carrier detonating would tip the balance too much in ships getting harrassed by carriers unopposed. In the old days if one carrier died, the remaining carrier had 100% air superiority as there would be no enemy carrier to protect it's fleet when this was still an actual thing, much like AA cruisers were an actual thing protecting their fleet. The remaining carrier would be free to 100% focus on harassing ships. This was considered a bad thing. The absurdity is that this is now the actual state of reworked carriers: they can fly around unopposed by enemy carriers by design as WG decided to remove carrier vs. carrier gameplay. By that reason, the alpha capabilities of carriers were heavily nerfed, with a few exceptions (AP bombs/rockets and massive torp galore in a certain steel walled carrier, looking at you). So the actual reason for making them not detonate is actually absolete. Also notice: detonation exemption for carriers only works one way ofc. Carriers can detonate surface ships perfectly fine.
-
As far as I know, detonation chance is set at 1%. A 1% chance doesnt sound like much, but in a 12 vs. 12 player game its 24 people receiving shells, torps and rockets for an average of 10 minutes per match its not weird to personally witness them regularly. So if everyone can get over themselves being detonated or detonate others in thinking about this, 1% is actually pretty significant. If it was insignificant, there would be no reason to exempt carriers from it. Except carriers being the wows toddlers ofc.
-
First: that doesnt make the anomalies less laughably absurd in a match. Second: your imaginary example is weird. What do detonation have to do with 'exceeding dpm barriers'? And why would someone with 8 kills need 'said guy' to detonate?

1 unique (one time) Token to buy any ship

Yeah I want free cookies. I want my Benham. -
I planning to buy Lenin when we get new discount coupons. What is your option are it is worth of money?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to VedranSeaWolf359's topic in General Discussion
Nice ship, don't buy it. -
Aah. That's why I have witnessed 4 detonations in 1 match, because they are so rare XD Detonations can be, theoretically, a match deciding event.

The abysmal gameplay has definetively pentrated the forums as well.

What you are describing is very different from what OP is describing. His ideas are pretty bad and simplistic, creating an uninteresting playingfield for other classes. If BB's are the best AA platforms, best HE tanks, shoot DD's in half on a hit and kill cruisers instantly as well, what the hell does it need the other classes for? They would be just windowdressing, completely at the mercy of whoever gets his hands on the BB positions. Tanks usually have weaknesses, even to light classes. That's why his fantasies hint at a singleplayer experience. Also, I think OP has a poor understanding of the current game mechanics.
-
In a PVP game, the aim is to give all players a fun experience and have them somewhat self reliant in getting their preferred experience in whatever class they fancy. In a singleplayer game, the experience revolves around a single player and everything else is subject to that player. That is why carrier gameplay is more like a singleplayer experience on top of a pvp enviroment for example. The experience OP seems to be looking for is BB takes the cake and everything else is basically there to serve.
-
It sounds you want a singleplayer experience mate. Not PVP.
